Crazy to think when I was a freshman back in 07’ and heard about Servite saw a game. I swear they all looked like grown ass men playing highschool football.. shit was crazy. They were the top dawgs of that time. Crazy how the tables have turned
Unfortunately not the season Servite envisioned. Hopefully they can turn it around. It definitely takes talent to be competitive every Friday in The Trinity League.

@@1point3ie99 MD is without question the most popular private school in California or the West Coast, popular as in, its known to lure students that make long drives, long commutes, just to attend, i remember some years ago, there was an MD basketball player that lived in Fontana, which is in San Bernadino county and attended MD, what are some longer commutes you know of students having gone to MD?

A few boys from Riverside transferred to Bosco a few years back as well although I know it’s not Mater Dei. I don’t hate on the program becuase MD has been a household name in CA since before a lot of has been born. I just don’t like these recent bandwagon fans. Their almost like raiders fans in a sense lol
in his 34 seasons as the HC for MD, Rollo has only lost to Servite just 3 times!, which included a 20 year streak that ended in 2009, wouldn't be surprised if MD starts another streak like that against Servite, Servite lost 3 times in a row to Servite from 2009 to 2011, and MD missed the playoffs in 2011, i'd say the losses to Servite and missing the playoffs, no doubt made Rollo make major changes to MD to make them become a national powerhouse again, even better than MD was during the 90s under him, and no doubt they must have been controversial changes, questionable, it wouldn't surprise me if MD somehow lured talented athletes to their program in some way, because they had a title drought that lasted for almost 20 years, and then all of a sudden exploded, attracting elite talent, they must have done something, along with Bosco as well.

In the Top 5: 2-private and 3-public schools. MD has not been dominate very long...maybe 5 years). Before that, their previous area championship was in 1999. This is just their time. Remember when it was De La Salle that was so dominant? Eveyone claimed their success was due to them recruiting, too? Did they suddenly stop recruiting?

Well seeing that they are just a few miles away from each other and that they are both in the same county, Mater Dei takes majority of OC talent.
