They outsource all of their players and have the money to build it up with coaching. Chino Hills is literally a random public school that has three brothers that all dominate with Big O and Eli Scott also being great players in their own right. Wish I could have been there for this game because this is honestly so astonishing to see a team like Mater Dei struggle like this against a public school. Chino Hills will most likely never see this type of talent (as a cohesive team) ever again.

This 15-16 chino hills team was legendary to say the least. Their style of play and impact on high school basketball was a huge deal, this team turned the whole starting 5 into overnight celebrities. Nonsense. I used to play against Saint Anthony in the late 80s and early 90s. They were no joke. And they didn't even have any mega-stars on their team (aside from maybe the Hurley brothers). They were all just role-players, but super disciplined and well-coached -- like soldiers. They were ruthless on defense and would just swarm on you if you made the slightest mistake. It felt like there were ten of them on the court. They would crush everyone by 50 points. And they weren't even in a conference -- they'd just travel the US playing the best teams in the nation. I would love to see the old-school Saint Anthony teams play against this Chino Hills team.
