I got a 2024 back in July and it was pleasant surprise how good it is.

Nice review. When I was truck shopping earlier this year it was between a 3rd gen Frontier Pro-4x and a 3rd gen Tacoma Off Road. I leaned slightly for a Tacoma but ultimately went with a '23 Frontier due to a deal I found for it

I'd take that over the 4 banger turbo Tacoma.

Zero gravity seats v6 that'll outlast any turbo bullet proof mercedes designed transmission built by zf if you add the nismo suspension & shocks itll out perform on & off road not to mention boxed & laddered frame to increase towing find another 2025 that'll last 300k + miles good luck or uou can have electric steering & hogh def cameras & relace turbos every 80 k

Well the engine and transmission has been tested for several yrs before they came out with the 3rd generation, we will just have to see if the electric like any other truck last.

Man if they would option a V8 in the frontier and Z car.nissan probably be in the green instead of bankrupt.

The back seats are pretty much at a 90 degree angle which makes it pretty uncomfortable. Not sure why they did this

The new Ranger that came out also has V6, bit expensive thought

Yes! The ranger can be had with a V6 but no naturally aspirated options

I am thinking of a colorado ZR2. What do you think?

So far it seems like a great redesign with a lot of modern options but the new engines are still a mystery in terms reliability.

only issue is the 4c turbo... im sure its a good engine though, but reliable idk plus im not a fan of having most the buttons in a menu on the ipad. im in the same boat as you and have been for the last 2 years... im struggling on what one to get

Honestly the deals they’re giving out on the Frontier in my area makes it a no brainer if I were to get one, I’m seeing trucks like the one in this video discounted in the low 40s!

@@seizethespeed The 2.7 first was released in the full size silverado in 2019 so the design not only has been around a while but also proven in a much larger heavier platform. I haven't driven one personally but reports say that the ford 2.7 is smoother which also has been in the full size f150 but has suffered some recalls over time for quality issues and also has a wet belt that can be issue (concerning for me as one of our family cars is a Ecosport with the engine recall due to wet belt failure and clogging up the oil pump). Basically nissan might actually have the most reliable powertrain at the moment. Even ridgelines with their NA v6 have had some issues. The problem with nissan is even their new tech is outdated and camera quality is poor as well as ground clearance and back seat comfort. If you just want a basic truck though they have a lot going for them and our local dealer has $5k off on some. You just have to worry whether nissan will be around to back anything if they don't survive the next year.

Most trucks have cylinder deactivation or a small block turbo. Both newer techs are not well supported by gear heads
      The “TurboMax” has both
A little too much risk if want to drive the same truck in 10 years.
Hope its solid but nobody knows and historical data doesn’t bode well
      Fun today, but risky

Youre too agressive with the throttle. It could have done that obstacle in 4hi.
Gotta keep consistent throttle input, not floored. The system will figure it out but YOU gotta let it work
