The red flags started popping up to me when chandler said in one of his previous interviews that he still doesn’t know when he’s supposed to fight Connor
People need to accept that Conor's ego has LONG outstripped his ability to fight (now he can no longer use IV's / use his youth to super -drain to 145) . The guy has lost too many times - while making serious money, ironically He clearly wants to be that 'fighting mega-star', but deep down knows he just isn't that guy! So he'd rather maintain an illusion to casuals / delusionally spout off than ruin his psyche more and more with further top level losses. And to think... all he now has is coke, booze and major fame to keep his mojo high.. SMFH.

But during that window was a great opportunity to bag some title defence wins …. However this fight does take place il still watch it

I think one of three things is going on. One, Conor is testing positive for PEDs and delaying entering the testing pool. Two, Conor doesn't actually feel confident in his leg and is having second thoughts about fighting. Three, Conor isn't excited about Chandler and is holding out for the winner of Gaethje vs Porier. Whatever it is, soething is going on with Conor. It's sad, regardless of what you think about Conor, his wasted a lot of his career and potential legacy by not fighting more.
I agree with all of that Barr the end. I dint think he wants Dustin or Justin. I think he's away with it and wants the colby fight. I.e. he wants colby or Leon to win and he wants that fight.
I agree with your first two points, but I personally think the other issue could be money related. It’s business and it’s big business as well, most of the time delays are down to the financial side of things when you are talking about big stars like mcgregor , they may not be able to agree terms. Look back at history, there have been times when mcgregor has demanded stakes in the ufc to get in and fight !
@@hidden1865 could be for sure actually. We saw in the doc the UFC put Conor on the shelf against his will during covid because the numbers didn’t work for them. Conor gets a crazy high guarantee number I think.

I was really excited for this season in hopes McGregor would make a comeback but sadly we barely made it through the first episode. It was really boring and while he didn't look as out of his mind as he has in some other recent videos I've seen, he still looked like he wasn't all there. It's a shame. I'll admit I hung on to the hope connor would make a come back probably longer than most, but at this point even I realize it's not very likely that he will even fight one more time.

Conor is just too big to just fight 3-4 times a year. There's too much politics and negotiation involved. He HAS to fight massive names that sell every time he's in the cage cos of how big he is himself. He can't just take random fights like regular fighters and build himself up. There's too much press and hype around him to just focus on his career like that. He's a victim of his own success.

Actually he hasn’t been the same since Mayweather beat him. He really expected to beat Mayweather and fulfil one of the greatest rag to riches legendary stories of all time. He was on top of the world at the time, double champ, gone from dole dependent broke fighter to sharing the stage with Mayweather as the biggest name in sports but sadly the fairytale ending he hoped for didn’t come to be… I think deep down that broke him. Up till then, everything he visualised he spoke into existence, feather weight champ, double champ, superstar then 100 million dollar purse and international superstardom in only 5 years so he fully expected to win… he tried to hide his depression and disappointment with pictures of yachts and him partying but truth is, the competitive obsessive athlete, the athlete that achieved everything he conceived for 5 years going from plumbers apprentice to mega icon, he was bitterly hurt he fell short and I believe that’s where his depression and drug use started. The Conor that showed up a year later to fight kabib was unhinged, emotional and just not the same guy
Maybe if they put Tuf on fucking BT sports instead of leaving it exclusive on espn they would had the numbers……
