P09 is one of my favorite pistols. I carry either my P30L or the P09. It shoots tremendously well. Only mods are I replace the firing pin stop pin and trigger return spring periodically, since those are failure points.
Are those replacements hard to do? Have read that several times before. I shoot rhe CZs better than my P30L but that HK is built like a brick tank!!! Thank you for watching!!!
@@TheArkansasGunGuy both replacements are very easy. If dry firing often, then def replace the TRS periodically. The firing pin stop issue is overblown. An o-ring over firing pin during dry fire will prevent any damage. The tempered steel retaining pin from CGW is a solid replacement. I don’t bother with other “upgrades”. The OEM trigger is fine and smooths out with use.
Your dead wrong dude. If you didnt have a P-09 already you do need it. Haha. Such a great firearm. Im a sucker for CZs as it is and that one is one of my all time favorites. Ya made a great purchase Id like to hear your thoughts after a range trip.
Oh for sure I’ll do follow up videos!! I love all CZ75 platform guns. Expect this thing to be a tack driver! Thanks so much for commenting and watching.
Great video. Looking forward to a follow up. Carried a Walther PPS for about a year and a half as my first CCW then recently upgraded to a P10C. Could not pass up on the deal of $288. Now looking at other CZ options because of how great it shoots. Probably wont be my EDC but definitely looks like a good buy.
Im nearing 20 years old in washington state and ive been researching what i want for my first gun since around 22’ right before they did those “high capacity” magazine bans. i feel like i need to go with glock just based off. how mass produced the mags are 😂Back then i was dead set on the hellcat pro but realized i cant get the capacity or compensator here so i started exploring other options and came to really like the cz platform still want to be safe and go with glock just cos everyone seems to have an extended mag
Nice video and great shooting range you have there! I have question. I have second hand P09. When I bought it I cleaned it really and there were nothing in the barrel bore. After 100 shots there are tiny flakes peeled around land edges near chamber and a few flakes near crown. They are not deep, just rough grey spots just bellow surface. I think it is just something like "finish wear" or top layer of tenifer (softer thin layer which makes black color). Is it normal?
thank you so much for watching! I don't have tons of rounds through mine yet - maybe500 - but have not seen/noticed flaking. i'll dig around message boards too and see if I find anything about that.
Keep shooting , I can get 20 in mine now after 4k plus rounds! So 20 +1 stock mags. Got mine in 2016. Up graded to full Cajun Gun Works trigger package in 2022. Also purchased Greg Cote LLC Mec-Gar 21 round mags that hold 22 now. Shoots ANYTHING I load in a mag. Honestly cant remember any failure of any kind.
That is the impossible question!! And great idea for a video in the future!! Probably between the PX4 and P07 but hard times call!! Thank you for the idea and for watching!
@TheArkansasGunGuy I have the large pad on my po9 and the small on my p10c the p10c side of the grip seems to budge out and as well as the front on the p10c than the po9 seems straight maybe it's just me. Could you do a video on changing out the pads?
I have 2 P09s, one in 9mmand I just picked up one in 40 S&W. It shoots great. I really love the 40 pistols.

I can't get the 19th round to fit into the magazine. it will only take 18.
Agreed - what’s up with that?

If you could only have one polymer-framed hammer-fired gun, which would you buy?
PX4, CZ-P07/09, or K100/P1?
That is the impossible question!! And great idea for a video in the future!! Probably between the PX4 and P07 but hard times call!! Thank you for the idea and for watching!
HK P30 LEM, then CZ P07, then PX4. Own those, don’t know anything about K100.
What grip pad size did you go with i have pretty large hands and went with the large pad. Where dod you buy it from
Right now I’ve left the medium on there but will probably switch to the larger. That’s what I did for my P07
Thanks for watching!!!
