Hello! I have a Gopro hero 8. It doesn't record audio at all, i can't hear audio on the gorpo nor if i transfer the video to my computer. But there is no way its broken. Can you please help me?
I recommend changing your audio settings to Auto and see if that helps. If it doesn’t then you may need to do a full reset (note this will wipe out your settings). If this doesn’t work then I recommend contacting GoPro support as it could be a hardware issue with your camera.
The only way to connect a GoPro to a computer is using the USB to USB-C cable. The purpose of this is to copy files off the GoPro or to use it as a webcam. GoPro does have the GoPro Player app that you can use to do some reframing and basic edits to individual clips. This software also contains the optional $99 ReelSteady add-on.
I have the Hero 10 and I'd like to be able to use it for the camera on my Samsung tablet while using Messenger video calling. As everyone knows the forward facing cameras on tablets suck, so I figured using the Gopro would be a great upgrade!...can this be done?
Make sure Bluetooth and wireless are turned on, on both your phone and the GoPro. Sometimes you may need to reset the wireless connection on your GoPro as well and then try again.

Hi there, I bought a GoPro 11 couple of months back and been happy so far with it. But there’s so many TH-camrs slating the GoPro 11 and saying to buy the DJI action 3. In your opinion which I think is a balanced one from watching your videos, is the GoPro 11 as bad as they say, with glitches, I know the batteries aren’t as long lasting, but in the bigger picture I think the GoPro has a far better picture capturing which outweighs the few negatives it may have. Love to hear your thoughts. Thanks
I have been really happy with my GoPro Hero 11. I have owned all of the GoPro cameras since the Hero 4, all of the DJI Action cameras, and a lot of the Insta360 cameras. Of the newest version of each of these cameras I do like the GoPro Hero 11 best. It is not glitchy for me and has had zero issues. I make sure to always use GoPro Genuine batteries and SanDisk Extreme MicroSD cards. The GoPro definitely has the best picture/video quality and is the best for capturing scenes like night lapses and star trails. I say this as one who has bought and used all of these cameras. The GoPro Hero 11 does cost the more than the Action 3, but I consider it worth the higher cost and I find it to be the action camera I most enjoy using.

I want to stay with GoPro and you have reassured me, I’m going to get another for my bike which is a lot of money but to me the end result is what it’s about. Thank you for your time.
You’re welcome. In addition to owning the DJI Action series cameras I also say this as one who has owned several DJI products including some of the Mavic drones and the Ronin stabilizers. I like the DJI drones and gimbals but when it comes to action cameras GoPro is still king.

You can download it to a computer by removing the microSD card and inserting it into an SD card slot using an SD card adapter or direct to a microSD slot if your computer has one. You can download it to a computer by connecting the GoPro via a USB cable.
Got the gopro hero 8 as a Christmas gift and finally used it again. Looks like my phone requires IOS 16.0 to download the app that can upload the video. Trash products that are designed to keep you running in circles 🤑

I think anyone mentioning that is mistaken. The Hero 11 offers 5.3K resolution.

The USB cable that comes with your GoPro connects great between the GoPro and your computer.
