- In this video, I go over 3 methods on how you can transfer your GoPro footage from your Hero 10 Black to your Smartphone or Tablet. This is important as mobile devices become more powerful, more and more are choosing mobile devices to view, manage and edit GoPro footage. The GoPro Hero 10 introduced a new faster way to transfer footage by using a direct-wired connection.

Thanks for sharing, Shawn! The new transfer speeds are ⚡
👊🤟
Why can’t I use my lightning to usbc cable that came with my iPhone 11pro for this?
Same question as Drew, can I use my usb-c to lightning cable?
It def isn't ⚡ on Samsung s10...more 🐢
How come I can’t download GoPro videos to iPhone I keep getting a can’t share video
One of the best explanation so far. Thank you so much, really appreciate it helping out others and sharing the knowledge.
Great video, very informative, clear and easy to follow your instructions. Thank you 🙏
This information is really for me as i got my hero 10 and used it yesterday in coasteering i dont even know how im gonna transfer it to my phone.. at first ive watch your tutorial last week GoPro hero 10 for begginer and im si happy that i came across to your channel… thanks much.
Thanks so much for this video. It has made my go pro experience so much easier.
GoPro Hero 10 is so much better than past GoPros! Thank you for an informative and interesting video!!! Cheers from Alaska!!
Oh man you must get the coolest shots living in Alaska !! Enjoy my friend
Thanks for sharing this! I will defiantly use this method if shooting in 4K or less. Thanks again, 👍😊
Thanks a bunch, I'm a new user. I just successfully transferred all my Alaska cruise videos (including the helicopter ride and trek to a glacier) from GoPro 10 to my phone!
this was super helpful! so many steps to go from camera to social media post.
Thanks Shawn for sharing such a detailed video and it was a great help!
Great video! I wasn’t aware of being able to import into the photos app, good to know. Cheers
A year since you released vid but new GoPro user! This was super helpful!! You’re awesome! Thank You
Dude, thank you so much. Your content helps me a lot and the way you present it is great.
I just purchased a Go Pro 10 Black watching your vids! I just subscribed to your channel! Keep up the great work!
Thanks. You cut off about opening 5.3 in LumaFusion. I am assuming that when I import the file into LumaFusion then I can see the video??? Thanks again. Your content is extremely clear and helpful. You and RobHK are my go to tutors!
This video was just what I needed. Thank you so much!
I really appreciate your way of explaining the "how to" because you sound relax, patient and not in a rush to finish the tutorial. I'm a first time owner of a GoPro. I have the Hero 10 Black. My first video test, I transferred to my MacBook Air and it was "choppy". Not sure why. After watching this video, I'll go with the sd card reader to transfer to my iPhone 12 Pro Max, hopefully it's not "choppy".
Did it work ?
@@soulbareilly yes it did
@@sapphire6107 thanks , would you advise Go Pro 10 or 11?
@@soulbareilly I am actually a beginner user and the Hero 10 is my first so I’m not the right person to ask.
Hey man, I love your videos and they really help me. Coming from South Africa🇿🇦
Thank you for enlightening me about how to preserve my 5.3K footage transferring from microSD to iPhone/iPad. I was amazed and rewatched your demo multiple times! I don’t own LumaFusion right now so I may be buying that app soon for my iPad Pro 9.7".
Keep in mind.... it sounds like it down converts it to 4K.....
@@rapaent Importing 5.3K footage into the Photos app on an iPhone via microSD card adapter doesn’t preserve the 5.3K footage? That is disappointing but not surprising.
What a helpful video! Thanks a lot once again.
Always love your content and help!!
Thank you very much I just received my GoPro yesterday I can use all the information you can pump out which I have subscribed to your Channel
Awesome explanation. Thank you so much!!!
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to teach these tricks. Is there a way to transfer from the GoPro to an external hard drive but bypassing putting the data on the iPad?
As always a good and detailed video!!!
Thanks!
This was a comprehensive, and easy to understand how-to.
Glad it was helpful!
Did not know that you could now do USB transfer in the Quik app. Thank you! It's about time.

Same , just got a 12 Black
Thx for the info!! Question, would capturing video in 5.3k and outputting it at 4k yield a better video quality vs straight 4k capture to 4k output? Thx.!
Very informative, thank you for sharing your knowledge of Gopro
Spot on and direct to the point. Thanks.

Thanks for this video, I just got my GoPro 10 and I didn’t know about the usb-c to usb-c method. Getting the micro card out of that adapter is a serious pain!
Thanks, great vid.

Thanks , really help.
Superb. Thank you.
So important. Thanks
Extremely helpful. I have a Hero 3 and can’t get it to connect with the Quick app with a wired setup? Thank you for any help.
A great video. Enjoyed.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great vid! Thanks
Thank you for this😀
Thanks for the info ❤
Thanks,super video.
You can connect through a usb hub and port that way or if you want save it to a sdd or hdd through that usb hub I use a atolla hub I use that for all my devices..and I can transfer any recognizable file and I think luma can play higher Rez file but agin it's in preview mode but I think it use the high 5.3 to file your editing..
Thanks man very helpful
Nice wel explained
Excellent presentation. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Gr8 info!
Simply awesome....👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌
Hello thanks for your sharing video

Thanks for the great video. Do you have a video that shows how to transfer gopro 10 to the gopro cloud. thank you
I want to use a gopro as a safety camera for my cycling.
Does the gopro have a "loop recording" option and a "file save" option?
If yes, how far down the gopro numbers (previous models) can I buy and still have those two safety camera functions?
Thank you.
Helpful...as always!
Thank you
Finally i got it.tnx❤
Does the photos app support 4k120 on the ipad? Great video, thanks for the help
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Thanks man, you saved my time!
Glad I could help!
Fantastic!!
Please zoom on screens as you are demonstrating. Narration is excellent! Well done.
Nice video as always
Any recommended app to edit photos taken with DJI Mavic Air 2?
I started using lumafusion to edit videos as was recommended by you, and it is an amazing app, totally worth it
Now im looking one app to edit photos, hope to know which one you recommend
Great video! Thank you
I do not understand why there is no wired transfer feature for hero 8 :( :(
Thank you! However, you didn't mention that the GoPro heats up quickly, and the battery runs out fast if you attempt to transfer files.
I love watching your videos so I have a go pro hero black 7 and I was wondering if you could laid show video how to set it up And I'm getting the go pro 10 for me and my husband to do you have a video about setting that up also
Thank you!
Thanks you very much I not good in English just follow you . Very good teacher 🙏
Awesome & Thanks :)
Hey! Thanks for that video! 😊 I was wondering if the 3rd way with the Apple Card reader could work with a iPhone ? Thanks
Great job keep it up 🇯🇲
It helped me
Thanks for this great video. Can you do a video to show how to transfer from GoPro to an external SSD drive before editing in LumaFusion 3.0 please (without transferring to iPad camera roll or a computer first).
Idk if that’s possible you can ask GoPro though
