I came across a great theory about Tarkat. Baraka said it's not easily gotten, but Mileena got it immediately after leaving the palace for one night. It is possible that those who were from the Tarkatan race in the previous timelines, have genetic configuration that makes them vulnerable to that disease, but they obviously have no idea about their past lives
Well, it isn't a sickness of the soul, so previous timeline consequences wouldn't make much sense. I'd wager that Mileena and Tanya were sneaking off when it happened. Mileena lies that she went out alone to protect Tanya. Tanya does her damnedest to help Mileena. As for how, it is probably spread by Tarkatans that have fully succumbed. That would explain the scar on Mileena's brow as well.
@@silverblade357 Kitana is still a daughter of Sindel, Kuai Liang is still a brother of Bi-Han, which kinda means that their DNA composition is not random. How come only Mileena and Baraka got the disease when majority of the characters had fights and physical contact with Tarkatans
@@nodarshurgaia4301 Baraka himself says that the disease is not easily contracted. Or perhaps Mileena was deliberately infected by Shang Tsung so he could treat her. The answer probably isn't much deeper than, "They're still monstrous fighters because that's their brand."
This story is so good. I played through it on day one of the early release! I love Johnny - he was always a dick in the past and I never cared for his cocky BS. Now though, I'm loving is jokes and movie references and "jerk with a heart of gold" demeanor. Reptile and Baraka's redemption and backstory is awesome and having Quan Chi, Shang Tsung and (now General) Shao conspiring together to overthrow Sindel and her daughters is a great power dynamic within Outworld. Many are complaining about the game, but I think it is amazing and has a great future ahead of it. People need to realize that eventually all these Kameos are going to be playable characters and all the characters will be able to be chosen as Kameos. This is going to have a substantial roster and grow in time. Some are angry they didn't just do all this at release, but that's just not the market anymore - games need to expand and grow to keep people's interest. MK1 has great potential for that.
