This was one of the best breakdown of the 4th great ninja war that i've seen on youtube. You're amazing, great analysis and insight due to your passion of the series
This is the culmination of years of damage control on a battered arc. The fanboys deserve to be railed into the ground for defending this monstrosity of a finale. It should be said nonetheless that Naruto at its peak was one of the best-written and most compelling Shonen I'd ever read, and I thank you for covering the terrible and the once-amazing here. Credits.
So true. The worst thing to me (and believe me, there's competition) is making Zetsu this master manipulator. Because then it's like saying "Nothing else even matters. Nothing anyone did matters. It was all Aloe Venus Fly Trap Dude's will from the jump, going back to the land of waves." Like HUH? How? Why would anyone hear this and go "Oh yeah that's dope". Like WHAT?
@Whirly Mask if Naruto is viewing Obito as two entities (good kid Obito and evil adult Obito), then Naruto is even more disillusioned than Obito-the man who wants to destroy the very fragment of reality. You can’t acknowledge Obito as two entities. Obito must be held accountable for what he has done-and Obito has done a *lot* of evil things. Hitler was once a good kid but there’s a reason we don’t separate kid Hitler from genocidal Hitler.
@Whirly Mask Naruto talk no jutsuing Obito was bullshit. It was handled way better with Naruto. Obito was no longer who he was as a child; in other words, he lost his innocence, his idealism, his pureness (he’s *still* Obito though). It is clear that even though Obito was set on his villainous path by Madara, to say he was completely manipulated is wrong. He never intended on reviving Madara. At all. Kabuto did that. Obito was smart enough to not be Madara’s complete pawn so the whole manipulation argument has a few holes in it. Btw, Obito said that he hated Naruto because he embodies everything that he currently hates. He hates his idealistic youth and whatnot. He wanted to crush that in Naruto. That’s why he mocked him when he killed Neji. And how can you say Hitler was always evil? No one, and I mean no one, is born evil. It was his life events that shaped him into who he was. Lastly, are you suggesting Obito was forgiven for his crimes? He can never be forgiven in my eyes. No matter what. The fact that he gets to go to heaven with Rin after he has killed who knows how many people is honestly disgusting. He’s worse than from aot.

I agree with you when it comes to Naruto, shitty last arc, but those first arcs and the good moment stay with you forever. **Runs away Naruto style** "Narutoooooo!!!"
Land of Waves arc was the only really great arc. The others are decent with wasted potentials. The action in the 5 Sound Arc was good and the atmosphere, but the fight against the Sounds felt like a waste of time. I enjoyed the Chunin exam but there were too many useless characters and some of the longer battles were awful like the entire Neji fights and Kage fights. Man they really dragged out several episodes until the third finally died. It was unbearable.
Kishimoto will forever annoy me because he claims he wanted sakura to end up with sasuke since day 1 but then has her confess to naruto and have him tell his mom he will find someone like her and his dad that she is his gf...what was the point of that?...you would think naruto would of learned a lesson by then....but nope. .it's weird
I'm super late but your 4th great ninja war videos are dope. The close up on Raikage's "derp" face with the music at the end took me out! I was dying laughing 🤣🤣🤣
Rather than Kishi losing passion, I think the reason behind the downfall of Naruto was more because of how harshly shounen jump treats its mangaka, they’re essentially slaves. Kishi’s schedule was basically: write, draw, write, draw, write, draw, eat, write more, draw more, then sleep for like 4 or 5 hours at most. I loved the early arcs of Naruto cuz you could tell he had the time to plan everything and implement it the way he wanted, but shounen jump and his editors being on his ass 24/7 caught up to him during the war arc and it’s pretty easy to tell
something i realized once i saw this vid.... zetsu is made from hashirama cells, but then why does black zetsu say zetsus were also a previous civilization turned to zetsus by the tree, damn, hashirama's cells were so readily available and used that they even used it before hashirama was even born
I used to be hooked on the series, but stopped reading through the midway through the War arc for this exact reason. It made 0 sense. Props on the breakdown because I probably would've never seen some of this stuff otherwise.
After the true identity of Tobi reveal of having been actually Obito and after the flashback about his backstory which led him to become Tobi and wanting to execute the Infinite Tuskoyomi plan, I was also so disappointed about the whole series that I was really thinking and considering about giving up on reading it and watching the rest of the series. I was really losing my passion for reading it and my faith for it's future. But then I thought that it would have been such a shame to give up completely on something for which I have spent so many years of my life watching it, reading it, loving it, thinking about it, theorizing, speculating about it and giving all of my love and passion in doing all of that. At first it was quite hard to persevere in continuing to read it but eventually I got quite over it and I continued to enjoy in parts the rest of the story (not all of it). But getting closer to the whole Black Zetsu and Kaguya being the final villains reveal and everything that happened after that, I was again slowly losing my interest and passion for it. I wasn't even able to read every chapter every week, I would instead read it once in a while. Watching this last part of these videos talking about how bad this 4th Ninja War Arc was, really showed me how much I didn't give such a big damn about these last chapters first time I've read them considering how for example I completely forgot about that atrocious ass pull of Obito transfering his powers to Kakashi from the afterlife and the ashes of his dead body which led to Kakashi achieving not only two Mangekyou sharingans but even the friggin' perfect Susanoo!!! I mean, WTF LMFAO!!! Seriously, I remembered most things of the series but I completely forgot about such a gigantic bullshit. Even making Rin show up from her death, WTF!!! But nevertheless, despite the whole downhill that the series went through because of the 4th Ninja War Saga, I still cried after I read the final chapter. It was like a big chunk and chapter of my life had just ended. It was crazy to think that a series that I followed with so much passion and love and which spoke to me so much and left such a big mark on my life for 8 friggin' years had just finished. I was too emotionally involved and attached with the series to not even shed a bit of a tear after it's end despite all of it's issues and flaws.
Sasuke's ideology wasn't shallow forced or misinformed, ever since he had the conversation with the first 4 Hokages he's changed and decided that he wants to take over the leaf village and start it over from scratch. Nothing is wrong with him now being more rational then he was at the 5 kage summit, he changed when he got to talk with Itachi more and got to talk to the first 4 hokage. His character does make sense. Sasuke's goal wasn't for no reason and it wasn't stupid.
This definitely shows that kakashi was the ultimate master mind after all (in the pain arc he died because he used kamui twice😂😂) but in the war arc he was like😌🤷🏽♂️
There should be a chart for who manipulated who and who stopped who from stopping who from stopping whom. I see it as kinda excused that Madara can just put the eye into where his eyes were because he has Hashirama's cells but that doesn't excuse why it's bleeding or why his arm isn't regenerating... The roasting of Sakura reminded me that a lot of the characters have Naruto's tailed beast chakra. Couldn't they have just given it back? Just wondering. Also realized how many characters are worthless or ruined in Naruto. It's like the bread and butter of shonen to ruin an established cast. Even Bleach did that. You are probably the first to recall that the third recalls Yamato from what I have seen. As well as people starting to get illusions despite being caught in illusions is a lie. I don't believe that Kishi just got bored writing considering the manga he wanted to draw, Samurai 8, was pretty awful and got the axe. He really wanted to draw a comic about Samurai

Its funny because i watched till danzo arc in 2011 and thats it. I came back in 2014 and the ending came. Its funny because i didnt missed anything because everything went shit and downhill. One reason is, Yahagi san, kishis first editor left in mid pain arc, he was the brain behind naruto not kishi. Yahagi created the whole story till pain arc. And after that, we can all agree, we see a difference
