No one should change to believe in Christ. In fact, whether you’re gay or a pedophile or a murderer, or a liar, or a fornicator or whatever, we come to the cross, broken and contrite over our sin, and in that process, Christ cleans us up.
It is the blessed man who’s sins are covered but remember what first John says, those born from above do not continue practicing sin so clearly a cleaning up happens when one becomes regenerate

Love is created by God. I try to always remember that when discussing this topic. Remember that everyone is loved. If you are queer in any capacity and trying to repent and get God to change your heart is causing you so much pain that you have thoughts of hurting yourself, please stop trying to get it to go away. God cares way more about your safety than who you love.

And what should you say to a person who happened to one day feel “naturally inclined” to go on a killing rampage, killing innocent kids inside of a school? Imagine saying that in court? “Your honor, I just felt the need to do it, therefore I just couldn’t resist not to.”

@mrtesttube1336 God doesn't make mistakes, but remember that made us with "free will" meaning we can do whatever we want, but there are consequences on what we do, just like being homosexual, here's a bible verse to contradict your statement, 1Corinthians 6:9-20 says:
9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 12"Everything is permissible for me"-but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"-but I will not be mastered by anything. 13"Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"-but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh." 17But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. 18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
Meaning HOMOSEXUALS WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

@mrtesttube1336I can agree that God does in fact not make mistakes
But the second part of your statement seems to be a complete contradiction of Jesus and other figures in the new testament telling people to turn from their ways and to fight with yourself

That way we can reason together and understand each other's view points better

    • @fazelok
      @fazelok 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

I dont think sexuality is a sin - truly - because sin is always individual - a straight person cant love a man - the same way I, as a gay guy -can - just like a poor person, getting a raise - isnt greedy - the rich man, taking more from his employees, to buy his 10th car - thats greed - its based on who you are, your actions - i think at least.

    • @hoseaduran7294
      @hoseaduran7294 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

@@fazelok while I understand your logic and where your coming from, I cannot agree with that statement completely. Reason being that the stance on individual sins is centered about what you think is good and not. Individuals are based on their own sin by their intent and actions yes, but we need to understand that what our actions and intent are based off God's order not our own
"A straight person can't love a man the same way as a gay guy can" well that's assuming that the gay guy isn't sinning because he loves men as well. See Romans 1:29 for evidence.
I'd argue that homosexuality is a sin just as much lying or murdering, not in action but in principle.
No matter what kind of person you are if you lie it is technically, no matter what kind of person that you are murder is still wrong. No matter what kind of person you are, if God said loving the same Gender in a relationship way is wrong then it is wrong.
One last thing, it isn't just Homosexuality that is seen in the Bible to be a unnatural love. There's beastiality which is loving animals which is loving them in a lustful desire or unnaturally more than humans. Incest which should be straightforward for the most part. Adultery which is cheating in marriage with other people. And Lust to people that you're not in a relationship with. So in hindsight it's a lot more grand than just Homosexuality that's mentioned in the Bible, but it's all these things that were written to God's will not our own, what I mean is that our mortality is vaguely based off God's will (aka the law written in our hearts) but I think it's important to understand that we can't go off our morals just because we think it's ok. If we did then we be in contradiction way more with God than if we took the time to see what God says about the subject.
      Have a good day stranger

As a faithful christian, I am not gay or bisexual. What I also am not is a person who judges others and hates other people, god does not want us to do such things, god wants us to love others. I find it disgusting that fellow christians can swear to be by god yet be so traitorous as to commit these “hate crimes”. (As they are labelled) No, being “LGBTQ+” is not supported by the bible ( I *think* ), yet ruthlessly insulting and belittling other humans is also (if not more) frowned upon. There are many temptations that every human struggles with. That is why the Bible named them out and created laws and rules for people, because we all have a sinful nature. Any sin that we struggle with can be done away with in the name of Jesus Christ. Ask him for help and forgiveness and deliverance from any temptation we struggle with. 1 Corinthians chapter 6 is part of many letters from Paul to the church in the New Testament encouraging the people to give up their old ways and be born again in Christ.

I’m gay and have been gay since I was the age of 4 which is my earliest memories of having attraction to others. I grew up in a religious church going home. I didn’t grow up exposed to or knew another gay person until I was a teen and literally would try and pray the gay away because I grew up tormented wanting to be “normal”. I believe in God and our Lord Jesus Christ. I have morals and values and try my hardest everyday to be an outstanding contribution to society in the way I treat others. All that being said I literally cannot force myself to be with someone from the opposite sex. Why should I be destined to a life of loneliness while watching others in happy committed relationships?. I could be wrong but I refuse to believe God created me to suffer and live a life not fulfilled with love. Why would it be fair for a heterosexual to be able to live life sinning in other ways they can choose to control and be welcomed into the kingdom and I can’t based off of something I LITERALLY cannot change about myself.

1 in every ten animals engage in homosexual activities and you say it's not natural? If God didn't want us to be gay, he wouldn't have created homosexuality (God created everything, did he not?) For people who tell us to "love thy neighbor" this does not feel very loving towards your neighbor. If you really loved them you would accept them for who they were instead of trying to fix something that was never their choice in the first place, and/or being stuck on something that doesn't affect you.

Believe me when I say that most christians arent like that, in my church atleast, but you can still love your neighbor without supporting them, does that mean that i dont love muslims because they have other beliefs? No, see my point? The only thing that sadden me is that some christians seem to have forgotten the teachings of the church and so would act against what the bible had told us to do, which is to bascially not harm others and to love them.

Because I wasn't putting any effort into change, and I was lighting a smoke and then praying after and knowing that it was wrong. So here is the solution I came to!!
I prayed to God and I knew deep down that I had to do this, I prayed a prayer saying lord Jesus I make a promise to you now that I stop smoking, I make this promise because I believe in you, I make this promise in knowing you died on the cross for me.
I got up threw my smokes in the bin, and haven't smoked since, been 7 months now, and I have up alcohol at the same time, so big bonus there from God..
Nothing is possible without God permitting it, so I accepted that Jesus won't help you unless you make the commitment and follow through. At the time I was studying the 1st sin and the consequences of that sin... Sin is sin, and all sin is just as bad as any sin!! Jesus wants to see us make an effort to change and leave our sins behind and follow him.. so after you pray and promise god to give up, each time you think about a smoke just remember you don't want the smoke, Satan wants you to have the smoke to discrace God's temple. I hope this helps you and anyone else.. Amen

"I prayed for years for God to make me straight. He didn't"
    To quote John Bevere...
"If your experience was anything like mine, you were exposed to porn at a young age. I was twelve when a friend showed me a magazine, and it grabbed hold of me.
When I got saved, some struggles left immediately. I stopped living like a frat kid, going to parties and drinking excessively. I was instantly freed from cussing. But my struggle with porn proved far more stubborn, even extending into the first couple years of my marriage. It seemed that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t break free.
Then, I went on a four-day fast, and I was completely delivered.
Puzzled, I asked God why, for so long, it seemed I couldn’t break free no matter what I tried-but then one day, the bondage finally broke. What He showed me was that, before getting free, I was sorrowful over my sin, but it was the wrong kind of sorrow.
Paul tells us, “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death” (2 Corinthians 7:10 ESV).
When I couldn’t get free, I was afraid of the consequences that continuing to struggle could have in my life. I didn’t want it to ruin my ministry or my marriage.
Leading up to the time when I got free, everything changed, I began to be grieved that my sin was hurting the hearts of those I loved. This was godly sorrow-a sorrow motivated not by fear of personal loss, but by love for God and others. And it produced a deep repentance in my heart.
If you are struggling to get free, the first question you need to ask yourself is: “Who is the focus of my sorrow?” Do you have worldly sorrow, fearing the personal consequences of your sin? Or do you have godly sorrow, driven by genuine love?
The first kind of sorrow will keep you bound. The latter will lead you toward freedom.
Today, I want you to pray that God would produce godly sorrow in you. Ask to know Him more intimately, and that you would be genuinely grieved over any sin that would get in the way of that intimacy. When you get your motivation right, it makes all the difference. "
John Bevere also gives an example of one of his friends, to further illustrate his point.
"A number of years ago, I had a friend who was addicted to smoking cigarettes. Despite knowing how bad the habit was for him, he would still find himself smoking four packs a day. For years, he prayed and asked God to set him free from it, but nothing changed.
Then, one day, he saw a friend in his church get instantly delivered from the same problem.
    My friend was so frustrated.
Angry, he went to God and exclaimed, “I’ve been crying out to You for two years! Why haven’t You delivered me?!”
God spoke to him and said, “Because you still like it.”
He was stunned, overcome by the revelation that God couldn’t deliver him from something he still liked and desired. That’s because God will never override our free will. He repented, asking God to help him to stop desiring the very thing that kept him in bondage, and was instantly delivered. This man went from smoking four packs of cigarettes a day to none-and he’s been free till this day.
Paul exhorts us, “Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good” (Romans 12:9 NKJV).
If you want to get free, you can’t be double-minded. You must passionately hate the sin you want to be free from. It was only when my heart began to break over how my struggle with porn was breaking God’s heart that I began walking in freedom. When I started to see my sin the way God sees it-for the destructive, damaging, detestable thing that it was-I hated it through and through.
Pray that God would help you see your sin for what it is. Ask Him to help you hate it. When there is no part of you that still loves your sin, you’ll find it so much easier to let go of."

Everything is already whole and complete, without any source and creator.
There is no free will and choice. You don’t exist, no one does. No one has ever lived on earth but no one knows that. Seems like there is a me here and others, feels so real.

I’m not sure about you, but I’ve read multiple scriptures about homosexuality, even though the Bible doesn’t specifically mention homosexuality, it talks about it. Every point in this video is right. Homosexuality is a sin just like every other sin, making gay people sinners just like everyone else.

@@user-yk7jq3wo7o The Bible refers to a few specific instances of males lying with males. None of them, however, describe being gay. It'd be like taking references to sin involving males with females and then calling being straight a sin.
Being gay or straight are harmless natural variations over which people have no control. They're a capacity for an intimate loving relationship with another human being. Neither can be classified as "sin", that's a pretty dumb category error. It's like classifying a rock as "sin".
NOTHING in this video is correct. Every statement is WRONG and HARMFUL. The incalculable harm caused by its ideology particularly to gay children of Christian parents has been extensively documented. Families have been torn apart, children have suffered anguish, illness and death as a direct result. This proves how wrong he is.

    Common affirming arguments
    *Argument 1:*
In Leviticus 18, The Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God. You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices.
The context of the chapter is God giving the Israelites a series of commands to not engage in the practices and customs of surrounding pagan nations.
The argument is that these aren’t universal moral laws, but laws specific to the religious context of the ancient Israelite people.
In Leviticus 20, the prohibition against homosexuality is repeated in V 13 and is given for the Israelites *as well as* to the foreigners living in Israel.
20 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Give the people of Israel these instructions, which apply both to native Israelites and to the foreigners living in Israel.
    Furthermore, 2 Timothy 3:16 states:
16 *All* Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
    *Argument 2:*
    In Hebrew, Leviticus 18:22 says:
ואת־זכר לא תשכב משכבי אשה תעובה הִוא
wĕʾet-zākār lōʾ tiškab miškĕbê (miškĕvê) tôʿēbâ hiw
A literal translation is: ‘With (a) male you shall not lie (the) lyings (or beds) of a woman. (An) abomination (tôʿēbâ) is that.’ [1: p231][5]
    The Septugint (Greek) reads thus:
καὶ μετὰ ἄρσενος οὐ κοιμηθήσῃ κοίτην γυναικός, βδέλυγμα γάρ ἐστιν.
The NRSV translation says: ‘You shall not lie with a male as with a woman, it is an abomination.’
    In Hebrew, Leviticus 20:13 says:
ואיש אשר ישכב את־זכר משכבי אשה תעובה עשו שניהם מות יומתו דמיהם בם
wĕʾîš ʾăšer yiškab ʾet-zākār miškĕbê (miškĕvê) tôʿēbâ ʿāśû šĕnêhem môt yûmātû dĕmêhem bām
    The Septuagint (Greek) reads thus:
καὶ ὃς ἂν κοιμηθῇ μετὰ ἄρσενος κοίτην γυναικός, βδέλυγμα ἐποίησαν ἀμφότεροι, θανατούσθωσαν, ἔνοχοί εἰσιν
    English (NRSV):
If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death; their blood is upon them.
People argue that the prohibition of male intercourse with other men found in Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 is not grounded in violating the natural complementarity God created between men and women. Instead, such actions “degraded” men by treating them in a way that only women should be treated. Some even cite Philo, Plutarch, and Clement of Alexandria as evidence that ancient people were more concerned about sex lowering a man’s status to the inferior one held by women then with sexual complementarity, an attitude they call “deeply misogynistic”.
People also argue that if Leviticus were about sexual complementarity then why doesn’t it condemn female-female sexual relations? They conclude that since we no longer endorse such “patriarchy,” male intercourse can be seen as the loving exchange of equals and not as the degradation of a man to the status of a woman. But I believe these people have missed the point due to a modern sense of political correctness.
For example, saying an adult is being childish does not mean children are bad, sub-human, or detestable. It doesn’t even mean children have less worth than adults. It just means adults are not children and so they shouldn’t act like children. Likewise, ancient writers calling men in the passive role of anal intercourse “effeminate” or “man-women” does not mean women are bad and therefore men shouldn’t be brought down to their level. It just means men aren’t women and so they should not be treated like women by being sexually penetrated.
Regarding the lack of female-female sexual prohibitions in Leviticus 18, this does not prove the text is not about sexual complementarity. That’s because *all* the prohibitions in Leviticus 18 were written for a male audience. For example, even though women were not explicitly prohibited from engaging in incest, the fact that men were prohibited means the same rules applied to women. The same assumption can be made for male-male and female-female sexual relations.
Also, The idea that the condemned same-sex activity is linked to economic exploitation or abuse is a forced reading with no textual basis.
    *Argument 3:*
For some people, The “patriarchy argument” continues in their treatment of Romans 1:26-27, which is perhaps the most explicit condemnation of same-sex behavior in the Bible. Here Paul speaks of idolaters and how God, “ . . . gave them up to degrading passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural, and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women, were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error.”
Some claim that the “unnatural” intercourse in this passage involved men taking the woman’s passive role in sex and women taking the man’s active role. It had everything to do with ancient patriarchy and nothing to do with either the anatomy of men and women or the body’s natural purpose. But this totally misses the point of the “exchange repetition” in Romans 1. Prior to Romans 1:26 Paul says that Creation shows there’s one true God and the idolaters have no excuse not to worship him (Romans 1:20). But their minds were “darkened” and they *exchanged* the proper end of their worship, or God, for an improper end, or idols (verses 21-23).
Next, their bodies were “defiled” and they *exchanged* the proper object of their belief, or “the truth about God,” for “a lie.” This could only happen because they suppressed knowledge of God that becomes obvious when we think about creation. Finally, their passions were “degraded” and women *exchanged* the natural object of their sexual desires, or men, for women and men did likewise. What all of these exchanges have in common is not failing to adhere to society’s moral norms, but failing to adhere to the natural order seen in creation itself - whether it’s worship of the creator or sexual relations with the natural partner. Paul even uses the Greek words for “male” and “female” instead of the Greek words for “men” and “women” to no doubt harken back to the creation account in Genesis 1 which describes how God made humans “male and female.”
These people's treatment of 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 focuses on the Greek words malakoi and arsenokoitai (the latter of which also appears in plural form in 1 Timothy 1:10), whom Paul says will not inherit the Kingdom of God. People argue that these words do not refer to monogamous same-sex relationships or “homosexuals” as some modern translations render the words. Instead, malakoi is ambiguous and could just mean “weak” or “soft” while arsenokoitai refers to some kind of sexual exploitation or pederasty (sex with post-pubescent children). But if that’s the case then why doesn’t Paul just use the Greek word for pederasty (or paiderastes)?
Keep in mind that before he condemns the malakoi and arsenokoitai for their persistence in sin, Paul condemns idolaters and adulterers and then he condemns thieves and greedy people. Adultery and idolatry are often associated in the Bible and thievery and greed certainly go together. This makes it likely that arsenokoitai goes hand-in-hand with malakoi. The fact that arsenokoitai matches the Greek words in the Septuagint’s translation of Leviticus 20:13 is unmistakable. The word breaks down to “arseno” (or “male”) and koite (or “bed”) and literally means “man-bedder.”
Paul is saying that at one point some Corinthians practiced the active and passive roles in same-sex behavior but, as verse 11 says, “this is what some of you *used to be.* But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.” Just because certain people once engaged in same-sex behavior that is no barrier to them being sanctified by the grace of God. God loves them and us and wants everyone to understand their true identities not as being “gay” or “straight,” but as being sons and daughters of the Most High.
Finally, when interpreting these passages it’s important to have the Bible’s whole context in mind and that’s why the affirmation of male-female sexual pairing in both Genesis 2 and Matthew 19 cannot be ignored. The Bible never portrays same-sex relationships in a positive light but it does portray opposite sex relationships in that way. People's answer to this is to say that the description of man and woman coming together as “one flesh” relates to a very close emotional union and not to anything intrinsic to men and women.
But this misses the point that when men and women have vaginal intercourse their body parts work together as an organically ordered whole to accomplish a purpose that cannot be achieved if the two were separate - the creation of new human life. The two retain their identities just as a patient who receives a heart transplant retains his unique DNA, but in both cases two sets of DNA become one in function. No other merging of body parts can accomplish this organically ordered “one flesh” union.

No one should change to believe in Christ. In fact, whether you’re gay or a pedophile or a murderer, or a liar, or a fornicator or whatever, we come to the cross, broken and contrite over our sin, and in that process, Christ cleans us up.
It is the blessed man who’s sins are covered but remember what first John says, those born from above do not continue practicing sin so clearly a cleaning up happens when one becomes regenerate.
The cost of following Christ is great, but what you gain in return is greater. Our life on earth is short compared to eternity. Striving through a few decades to follow, Christ is a pale comparison to the reward of eternity. Trust Christ. Struggle. And TRUST.

Jesus sat with sinners, but he didn't tell them, "You are perfect as you are, God loves everybody, don't beat yourself up." No, he rebuked them, called them out, offered help and solutions, he taught them about a God who loves them and wants what is best for them, and he challenged them to go and live in a way that was good and right. Jesus wasn't nice, he was good. Nice people don't want to offend others or hurt anyone's feelings, so they may brush over things or take a weak stance on things rather than speaking up, for fear of offending someone or making themselves look like a "mean" person. Good people may have to call someone out or stand up for what is true or right, and it may not seem very nice to the person they are calling out, and others may not think highly of them. But that is how Jesus loves us. A lot of people didn't like Jesus and were offended by him. Sometimes we need a little kick in the pants to keep us on the right path, and I'm so glad Jesus wasn't afraid to stand up and speak out for me, even if It might hurt my feelings or make me upset with Him.

"you're supposed to love your neighbour as yourself"
Christians do love people! Infact it is a direct command given to us by our Lord in John 13:34-35 where He said "So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
*The difference,* however, is that Christians do not define love according to culture. We define love by the Word of God, which tells us what love is in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Does this mean we are to be kind to the rainbow nation? To be patient with them?
*Yes* absolutely! We are to be *all* those things to *everyone,* regardless of their chosen lifestyle or what they choose to identify as.
But also, take note of v. 6 "Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth"
God is Holy and sin seperates us from Him as we are told in Isaiah 59:1-2
    Warnings against Sin
59 Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.
2 It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.
If we are to "rejoyce with the truth" then how can we love, affirm or celebrate *anything* that separates us from the one who gave His very life so that He could have a relationship with us?

I'm gay, I believe in God, I help others whenever I can, I'm not promiscuous and I don't let my sexual orientation define who I am.
I believe homosexuality IS A SIN but I have grown to accept that I WILL BE JUDGED when he calls for me and I fully take responsibility of my sins.
Yes it is a struggle, that's why I sit towards the back at church, but I know it'll be a life long struggle as well as a afterlife long struggle.
The kingdom of God is not a gated community folks and its not some prize someone can win but I believe it's a community of souls and that's what he'll judge on the day he calls for us.
All in all just because someone calls themselves a Christian or preaches the Bible doesn't mean they are without sin, I just ask that instead of shunning or judging a homosexual sinner you understand their heart at the very least.
    Love & God bless.

Change of mind and heart is first. Working changes over time.

"Homosexuality as an *orientation* is not addressed in scripture"
    Firstly.
The Bible tells us in Matthew 15:19 that it begins in our hearts and minds. Before we commit an act of sin, we will think about it. All sin starts in the mind.
Then terms: "vile affections", "burned in their lust", "working", "natural use", etc. are used in Romans 1:24-27 (KJV), & clearly involve both mental and physical homosexuality.

How should Christians and the church treat the rainbow nation?
    Written By Jemima*, Singapore
“Yes, but how long should we tolerate what they say and do?”
At the word, “they”, I felt a huge gulf open between me and the world around me. Everything shrank into “us” and “them,” and I had never felt so alone.
    ***
I am a member of a local church in Singapore. I profess faith in God, and I believe in the resurrected Christ and His redemptive power that can save us from our sins. I believe in grace that is freely given and salvation received only through faith, not from works done by our hands, but by the work that was completed by Jesus Christ on the cross.
I am also same-sex attracted (SSA), and I want to share my experience in the hope that it may help Christians understand other believers like myself a little better.
When the question above was asked, I was at a seminar about Christianity and LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender). As the speaker moved on to talk about the experience of SSA Christians in the church, I started to notice an older couple asking many questions. They were both involved in the hospitality team at church, and it seemed like they had more than once felt uncomfortable talking to SSA people.
The questions started out innocuous. “How can I speak to them?” and “What should I do if someone tells me about being same-sex attracted?” seemed like good, constructive questions. Then we started to move into territory that made me feel more and more uncomfortable.
“I understand that we should be accepting them, but shouldn’t we be praying for them to change?”
“What do I do if a same-sex attracted person tries to start a relationship with me?”
    And finally . . .
“Yes, but how long should we tolerate what they say and do?”
The speaker was silent for a long moment. When he spoke, his words were heavy, and I could hear my pain mirrored in his voice.
“For as long as you would tolerate [that every Christian should struggle against] any other sin, like lust, jealousy, or coveting. Even lying and anger,” he said quietly. “And we do not just tolerate [believers who are same-sex attracted], we accept them as Christians and children of God first. Same-sex attraction is not the first thing that needs to be addressed when someone steps into church. Rather, it is the heart that needs Christ that must first be addressed.”

Human beings didn’t create anything. We didn’t create any form of desires lusts or affections. We didn’t create evil or any sinful nature. We honestly need to pump the brakes and read (Isaiah 45:7)
What kind of creator would create these levels of principalities and cannot control it? 🤔 If you believe this you are making our creator out to be very weak. Christians pride themselves on believing and declaring that God is in control but don’t want to accept what God created. We didn’t create none of this. The word clearly says all things were made by him and by him all things consist. (Colossians 1:16-20)
All things were created for his glory. Both things of the spirit and flesh are under his subjection. God will indeed complete the good work started in all mankind. We need to stop being critical and trust the hand of God. The only difference between us and the world is the creator didn’t allow some of their struggles to be ours. You could have easily been given the struggle of homosexuality or molestation. However the creator saw fit to give you the battle of pride and pornography. Be careful who you put your mouth on. It baffles me seeing imperfect people feel they have the capacity to manage something out of their element. You really think an omnipotent all powerful creator needs you to manage something he created in his own image? We were given the opportunity in the beginning to manage the surrounding creation and failed.😒😒😒🙄🙄🙄 Let God be God and you remain human.

    "david and Jonathan were lovers"
We know from 1 Samuel 18:1 that Jonathan loved David. Second Samuel 1:26 records David’s lament after Jonathan’s death, in which he said that his love for Jonathan was more wonderful than the love of a woman. Some use these two passages to suggest a homosexual relationship between David and Jonathan. This interpretation, however, should be rejected for at least three reasons.
First, the Hebrew word for “love” used here covers a broad range of meanings and does not mean “romantic” or “sexual” love unless the context demands it. Forms of the same word are used for loving God (Exodus 20:6), loving one’s neighbor as oneself (Leviticus 19:18), treating foreigners well (Leviticus 19:34), sharing friendship (Job 19:19), having diplomatic ties (1 Kings 5:1), taking pleasure in the work of a subordinate (1 Samuel 16:21), and even “loving” inanimate things (Proverbs 21:17).
Second, David’s comparison of his relationship with Jonathan with that of women is probably a reference to his experience with King Saul’s daughters. He was promised one of Saul’s daughters for killing Goliath. The first daughter was abruptly given to another man. The second daughter was promised, but Saul continued to add conditions to the deal, hoping to see David killed in battle (1 Samuel 18:17, 25). The loyalty and camaraderie David had with Jonathan came with no conditions and was of greater value than the companionship of Saul’s daughter.
Third, the Bible clearly and consistently denounces homosexuality (Genesis 1:26-27; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:18-25). Extolling a homosexual love between David and Jonathan would be contradicting the prohibitions of it found throughout the Bible.
The friendship between David and Jonathan was a covenantal relationship. In 1 Samuel 18:1-5, we read of David and Jonathan forming an agreement. In this agreement, Jonathan was to be second in command in David’s future reign, and David was to protect Jonathan’s family (1 Samuel 20:16-17, 42; 23:16-18).
Obviously, these two men were also very good friends. In their relationship we can see at least three qualities of true friendship. First, they sacrificed for one another. In 1 Samuel 18:4, we read that Jonathan gave David his clothes and military garb. The significance of this gift was that Jonathan recognized that David would one day be king of Israel. Rather than being envious or jealous, Jonathan submitted to God’s will and sacrificed his own right to the throne. Second, in 1 Samuel 19:1-3, we read of Jonathan’s loyalty toward and defense of David. King Saul told his followers to kill David. Jonathan rebuked his father and recalled David’s faithfulness to him in killing Goliath. Finally, Jonathan and David were also free to express their emotions with one another. In 1 Samuel 20, we read of a plan concocted by Jonathan to reveal his father’s plans toward David. Jonathan was going to practice his archery. If he told his servant that the arrows he shot were to the side of the target, David was safe. If Jonathan told his servant that the arrows were beyond the target, David was to leave and not return. Jonathan told the servant that the arrows were beyond the target, meaning that David should flee. After releasing his servant, Jonathan found David and the two men cried together.
Rather than being evidence for a homosexual relationship in the Bible, the account of David and Jonathan is an example of true biblical friendship. True friendship, according to the Bible, involves loyalty, sacrifice, compromise, and yes, emotional attachment. That is what we should learn from David and Jonathan. The idea that David and Jonathan were practicing homosexuals (or bisexuals) has no biblical basis

I doubt it. thats it. Im gay because I am attracted to other men - and I assume that every other person - has attractions to one sex, the other, or both - thats what sexuality is. You can blame the creation of society, for sexuality - because domesticated animals have also presented same sex attractions - as well as zoo animals on occasion - because at the root of it - we no longer need - as a species - to simply hunt, and forage - like we used to - at least, according to science we used to - society has allowed our lifespans to increase - and our freedoms increase - we have passions, and hobbies, and jobs - and attraction - that everyone follows - no one chooses others simply out of necessity - you dont just look at a random person - and say "hey god, ill just be with this person, to continue the species' - you find someone youre attracted to - and you date them - those are the steps.
Not to mention - if sexuality is a sin like any other - than... why dont we see every person struggle with it? we dont - you see most people being straight - and a small number of us being gay or lesbian - with every other sin - anyone is able to do it - anyone on the planet can be greedy - or lustful in one-night stands - or steal - or lie - no straight man can love someone of the same sex - the way I, as a gay guy - can - which makes me different than him. someone who is poor - getting a raise - easing the burden of stress off their shoulders - is not greedy - greed is the rich man - stealing more from his employees - so he can buy his 10th car - its the individual action - that creates the sin. Me trying to be with someone I have no attraction for - would be a sin - thats the opposite sex for me - and the same sex - for a straight guy. right?
And all those stories you hear, from the occasional 'saved gay' - is untrue - bi-sexuals exist, and those are people who like both sexes - and anyone could ignore someone, and think about something else - to stop caring about anyone, or whatever. no straight person has ever truly become gay - no gay person ever can change their attractions, thats kinda how it works.
The one thing that ive seen - was a crazed, deluded 'trans' person - who mutilated their body, and went on hormones, didn't like it - and they went back and forth on different hormones - and saw their sexuality change depending on the hormone they were on - which could prove that hormone levels, and fluctuations - could 'create' in some ways - sexuality - but that's also how inter-sex people end up getting born - who have chromosomal, and hormonal imbalances from birth as well - which also cant be changed - so either we exist, or we dont huh.

The Bible never mentions Queer relationships, or anything other than sex between men.

    • @Grokford
      @Grokford 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but your celibacy isn't likely to make much difference.
Anti-gay Christians are against everything Queer regardless.
The Bible never mentions trans people or lesbians, but the church condemns and condemns them anyways.
I have no qualms about saying that I don't think that there's anything immoral about gay sex, male or female, though of course female homoeroticism is never mentioned in scripture.
Another thing that's not in scripture is the idea that you shouldn't have pre-marital sex, that's in the Bible anywhere, people made it up.
But I can tell you from my own experience that people are generally not going to call you out or ask about your Queerness.
In my current church I started attending with my roomate, and even though we're actually purely friends over the months I discovered that many people were fully convinced that we were a couple.
There are other Queer people in the congregation including a trans woman, and no one's ever commented.
And it would be very simple to deny if they did.
So what if you live together, housing is expensive.
But if you want to be out.. that would usually be pretty hit or miss, it could be simmering resentment, patronizing pity or outright hostility.
Or it could be like my church, which despite having openly homophobic sentiment is usually never an issue because people disagree and no one wants to start a fight.

    Genesis 19:1-11
That evening the two angels came to the entrance of the city of Sodom. Lot was sitting there, and when he
saw them, he stood up to meet them. Then he welcomed them and bowed with his face to the ground.
"My lords," he said, "come to my home to wash your feet, and be my guests for the night. You may then
get up early in the morning and be on your way again." "Oh no," they replied. "We'll just spend the night
out here in the city square." But Lot insisted, so at last they went home with him. Lot prepared a feast for
them, complete with fresh bread made without yeast, and they ate. But before they retired for the night, all
the men of Sodom, young and old, came from all over the city and surrounded the house. They shouted to
Lot, "Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out to us so we can have sex
    with them!"
So Lot stepped outside to talk to them, shutting the door behind him. "Please, my brothers," he begged,
"don't do such a wicked thing. Look, I have two virgin daughters. Let me bring them out to you, and you
can do with them as you wish. But please, leave these men alone, for they are my guests and are under my
    protection."
"Stand back!" they shouted. "This fellow came to town as an outsider, and now he's acting like our judge!
We'll treat you far worse than those other men!" And they lunged toward Lot to break down the door. But
the two angels reached out, pulled Lot into the house, and bolted the door. Then they blinded all the men,
young and old, who were at the door of the house, so they gave up trying to get inside.

Never should God's truth be told by yelling and screaming at someone for their sin. Once again I am embarrassed for you like never before.

Ahhh, more reasons to completely ignore the bible entirely. If you can't prove the bible is actually the word of god, then why should i care about anything in the bible? And why would god create homosexuals if it was just going to punish them for the way it made them? It all seems like one group of people wrote a book that condemned all the things they didn't like and then just claimed it was the words of god.

This isn't what the Bible says, the Bible is just an easy scapegoat for peoples biases.
