Thanks for watching and supporting!
The Light Test at the end was to test the seal between the intake and the hood. As you can see there was only a tiny bit of light that came through in one corner.
Thanks for the shoutout and the support!
LethalGarage thank you
LethalGarage you ever in houston look me up the drag strip here is world famous and always fun. Royal purple raceway.
Like the content and review of the different CAI's. Props for mentioning lethalgarage. You guys are two of my favorite channels for the simple fact that you are providing the rest of us with great information on parts for our Camaros and aren't afraid to do the installs yourself. Keep it up!👍
RUNVS23 182SS1LE appreciate the compliment. Not sure I’m quite on same level of content but I try. Thank you
Roto is a top notch CAI. Very nice
Camaro Time yes I’m glad I spent the cash. Seems like it will last as long as car will 👍. Plus once I get tune and headers it will start to pay off.
You can't beat the looks of the carbon fiber cold air inductions
Yeah but does it delete the sound tube and dyno as high as rotofab?
Did you also have to do a tune for the CAI? Want to do something similar to my wife’s ‘21 LT1.
Does it whistle like k&n
Where do you connect the original catch can to the roto fab? I just ordered a roto fab for my 2015 2ss 1le and I have no idea where I'm supposed to connect my catch can? Thanks
I know this is old but on a 16 valve naturally aspirated V8 engine the catch can should be tossed in the trash. It literally isn't worth the $$$ you paid. Catch cans are for Turbo engines, with best use and value
on 4 cyl, high compression DOHC turbo motors.
On a 70 year old V8 design the only people who recommend a catch can is the manufacturer of the can.
Just csme back from a car show. Nobody was using a can on V8 N/A engines. Nobody.
I looked at this but went with Cold Air Inductions/GM. I wanted a warrantied part and something with a complete top seal. Most of the tuner shops are going with with the Roto-Fab. It looks like it likely breathes a bit better but not enough for me to override the warranty/seal issue.
Yeah rotofab maybe 1 hp more. It’s barely anything. If you are keeping warranty that’s probably a smart move. Honestly the Cold air looks a little better too and not as cheap looking
Do you recommend dry filter or oiled?
Either one in my opinion. There’s some people that say oil filters can ruin your motor. But that’s only if you way way over oil. I used oil filter because I know how to clean them good. Just always been what I used since 2002 trans am
@@OnlinecarshowNet1 cleaning it take a while?
I use oiled by know a lot of people using dry. There are mixed rumors the oil from the oiled filters can creep into motor. But I’ve always used oiled and had zero issues but I try to lightly oil when cleaning.
So i have a completely stock 2019 Camaro ss is this a good first mod?
Yes not sure if it cancels warranty or not though. I know the GM or cold air inductions will not. These do dyno a tiny hair better than those. But always a good starting point. Then add longtube headers/ E85 next time and tune it all in
So if i only put on the intake right now it wont need a tune or something like that?
I get cosmetic mods from eBay but not performance mods.
Agree I’ve used a lot of Chinese cosmetic stuff too since that video. But I keep themperformance stuff name brand 👍
Do you have to have a tune with a roto Fab air intake
No but you want see much hp honestly till you do. You might get 1-2 hp. But this with E85 and headers and tune and it really wakes the motor up
Does a cat back exhaust void your car's warranty
Good question. I would say it depends on the dealership. You might ask whomever you use as a dealership to work on the car. I would say no but honestly it comes down to the dealership. Usually as long as it’s a reputable brand and not an eBay Chinese exhaust it’s not a problem... borla Corsa etc. but it’s always best to check. Is hate to tell you wrong
Do those preset toners work or do you need to get a Dyno tune
@@donaldmccarn9454 No, it does not. Anything forward of the cats will.
