You are just doing amazing work to look after a single baby fish and I feel that your this Goldfish is unique with looks alike Ryukin Goldfish even though it parent known as Oranda Goldfish. My apology that I replied late in your comment but still your Goldfish Video are still the best. As an Goldfish/Koi fish hobbyist like myself, I just LOVE to watch TH-cam videos about how people look after their Goldfish and it's way very amazing and very much unique in a sense 💝😊
I never imagined that I would watch a video with no voice over that is 27minutes long. Your way of storytelling is nice that it keeps the viewer engaged throughout. Some insane growth for 12 weeks but it's not a surprise looking at what you have been feeding. Lucky is really lucky. The final new tank was really a surprise. Waiting for the next update. Gosh, you must rank as the most conscientious fish keeper in the world. I have never bred fancy goldfish, but I raised over 50 ordinary goldfish fry in an unfiltered 70 litre plastic tub, hornwort, gravel, breeding daphnia and flake food - took a year to get them to turn gold and match the size of Lucky! But they were only kept at between 10 and 20 degrees centigrade. As usual a good fun and very entertaining and educational video, have a good Christmas and do in the New Year continue to keep us entertained, though I am slightly in awe of your fastidious water changes, even when using a large external on a solitary fish. My planted community tropical tank (only kept at 24 degrees centigrade) is lucky to get a 10% water change a fortnight...

Clean and warm water is essential for the fast growth of goldfish plus quality and varied nutrition (this mainly applies to young fish that require a lot of protein). We can feed them the highest quality food, if the water is not clean the fish will not grow. Especially since goldfish release hormones that stunt their growth. Even though Lucky is alone, I try to keep the water pristine, at this stage I feed him a lot so I do daily water changes :) In my planted aquariums I do water changes once a week 50%.

Thank you so much!! Appreciate it. For now, he won't be with the other fish. He is still young , I want to put some more growth on him. There he would have to compete with other larger fish for food and he would not grow that much, and their diet is a little different. Spoiler alert, Lucky will not be alone in the new aquarium 🤭

NO. Please don't put goldfish in such a small tank. For two smaller goldfish, the tank should be at least 20 gallons with good filtration. But even that tank can be insufficient when the fish reach their full size. There is a lot of information on the internet about tank size for goldfish , do your research.

Too much resources for one fish. Don't get me wrong raise your fish with the best conditions. But he is just wasting too much resources. He could had raised 20 or more with that amount of resources and dedication. Again, i know he had only one fry. But this gives false infirmation on how to raise goldfish. A tip for you : add some methylene blue to the tank, it will save eggs from catching fungus. Hence more fry :)
