My uncle worked(now retd) as a civil engineer for the government.
While constructing a building, aesthetics were least on his mind. With the limited budgets and a work culture that usually lacked innovation the buildings were made as bland as possible.

    • @amitmamgain6370

Aesthetics isn't really a civil engineer's their priority will always by structural systems and building's safety. Architects study aesthetic during the five years of their education and how a person experiencing the built space should experience it in certain way pertaining to the landuse of the building. The govt. Authorities don't think that's is really important and they rarely hire architects to work along with the engineers.

The reason why Europe has asthetic architcture is because they went through a Renaissance, India never had its own Renaissance because we were always on the decline, in order for a Renaissance India needs a sizable gdp per capita.

They spend 2-5 lakh rupees to make "ugly colored" modular kitchens. One wall of the room is dark rani pink and another wall is blue. You don't have to be rich to choose a decent sober color for your home

Extremely informative Video. However as an Interior Designer myself I’ve noticed that in order to save cost people in our Country do not hire the services of Professionals such as Architects / Interior Designers. They either prefer doing it on their own or hiring a Contractor who is not an expert when it comes to designing aesthetically pleasing spaces. Nor does he have the Technical Knowledge to create Homes that are practical and pleasing to see a well. Once people realise what value hiring a Professional Interior Designer / Architect brings to the overall designing of a Building / Home you’d automatically see more and more Buildings / Homes that are aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Its an ugly, disproportionate looking building.
Just look at the building by blocking those top spherical structures, it looks nothing special.
The architect could have borrowed architectural elements from Kakatiya temples, unfortunately a wasted opportunity.

Why do many houses in India have brick walls that are not painted? Looks unfinished and very ugly. A law should require all external walls to be plastered and painted before permission is granted.
