in 1991, India faces a huge economic crisis. Only 3 weeks worth of foreign exchange was left in India, and it was almost going bankrupt. Many events led to that situtation, starting from slow economic growth, to gulf war, USSR disintegration, and Rajiv Gandhi Assassination. But in 1991, the new PV Narsimha Rao government made some reforms in the leadership of Manmohan Singh as Finance Minister, and Indian economy took a U turn and started rising again. 1991 economic reforms are still prevalant.

2. This is applied to every nation that goes through the IMF bailout. IMF does not enforce policies beyond cutting subsidies because this leads to political instability. PVN took the heat and asked MMS to partially implement policies beyond cutting subsidies.
3. If he truly came up with LPG, he'd have won the Nobel.
4. Look up his role in letting this happen, he continuously held significant positions in the Planning committee and RBI before.
5. He had no academic work of note to warrant such positions beyond the fact that he was a pliable technocrat.
6. How did the economist PM allow for overprinting in response to the 08 crash and MNREGA, which even demand side economists would say is excessive?

He was forced to take these bold steps given by the IMF. Otherwise, IMF wouldn't have given the loans to save India's economy. On the other hand, his leadership (check his posts in the previous decade) and socialist policies of Congress is what led to India's bankruptcy. When the IMF helped he was the finance minister who reluctantly had to sign the loan agreements. He did nothing special of his own but had to dance to the tune of the IMF to save India's economy.

This is similar to situation of pakistan right now. Every Pakistani should listen to this and see how our country fought its way back from such political chaos. They are still doing this in 2022 when we left this 31 years ago.

Pakistan was better in the 90s than us. I think the political turmoil along with flooding caused this issue.What has killed Pakistan is the miltary cues, dismisiall of East Pakistan and mostly the extremist religious fundamentalists. Businesses do not like turmoil , i hoped the Imran Khan would remain focussed on making Pakistan more trade friendly, good domestic policies, reduce the influence of ISI/military and not use politically expeditious route of Kashmir unfortanately the military still calls the shot in Pakistan and he gained cheap political points by raising issue of Kashmir. 😔. The average Kamran in Pakistan may be similar to the average Kiran in India family, hard work, emphasis on modern education etc..... also i feel their society are so insular that they are subjugated with arbritary things as religion.

Well i really appreciate Dr. Manmohan Singh. It was just because of him our parents was able to survive in those days. We can say he was free to take his decision by his own at that time unlike when he was PM he had to be under Sonia Gandhi.

I am glad to see your video and I have seen current situation of India that there are few major issues not to grown Indian econmy.
Such as:
1- Big contracts or tender goes to only 5% selected people of India
2- Few Kings are leading states alternatively in every 5 years programs and their relative or their family members only.
3- Few mafia gets seats or ticket easily and they rule and fill their stomach with money not their constituency people.
4- If any poor people or student wants do to something for the nation , these mafia don's start stopping by all ways and current government saves them without taking any action on those bahubali's or bahubali's chamcha's.
5- These bahubali are in the gangs of castes such as they claim as yadav gang or gurjar gang or khan gang and 4th one is dalit gang.
They misuse the rights of common citizens on the discrimination of caste, creete or religion while 80% public is living under below poverty line in India and uneducated.
5- India's education systems is too poor. there is no universal education policy.
6- In India there is politics everywhere starting from village, schools, villagers, corporate offices and in every caste.
7- There is no unemployment data in government sector and not in private sector
8- There is no rule for uneducated common citizens and no policy for their employment
9- There is no fix salary scale or range for private sector employees
10- There is no rule for justice who are victim. They fight case for years to years, no update nothing at all. No one cares about it.
11- there is no control in pricing of goods & services because private companies are keeping price with their choice only why because they are running their own company in India.
11- India needs a big reform this time there is no national healthcare policy for all citizens across India
12- There is no data of nation population which should be calculated in every 3 year
13- There is no national population control policy such as ek bachcha sabse achcha for atleast 15-20 years as china has done in the past.
14 - there is no rule in the metro or in busses or in general carts of train.
From my opinion there should a limit as per seat as it was during covid
15- there is no survey policy in rural areas
16- India's 80-85% population lives in rural areas and there are no jobs and no rules in anganwadi, primary schools, secretary, bdo, gram pradhan, lekhpal etc.
17- these institutions are made only for few 5% rich people of India my dear indian citizens just for 5% rich people.
18- there is no respect for our forces, officers my dear indian citizens
19- nowdays india and Indian citizens are behaving like a Bollywood movie.
But this is the harsh reality of India's destroy ment in upcoming years. You will see after few years what was I saying my dear indian citizens.
My dear Indian citizens you need to wake up that Bollywood actors are paid actors and their full time job is acting my dear indian citizens. If they won't do whole life they can survive because they are having 1 lakh crore in their account but we are not having right.
Some of top richest leaders are doing full time job as a politician my dear indian citizens and they are getting paid of it but what about about 80% common indian citizens who are living below poverty lines and they are not having jobs, they are not having money to eat for second time of the day?
