    This is an AWESOME review! HONESTLY I wish I'd of used more of these back in my prime, at the ripe old age of 42 I NEEDED to get both hips replaced. It was due to: having hip dysplasia from birth and not knowing it, a stupid injury I sustained in IRAQ (eager to play basketball on a wooden floored court I'd found after months of deployment), and I was flipping off over or around just about whatever I could! Older black gentleman would tell me "you'd BETTER stop all that jumping young man! You'll regret it when you get to be MY age!" Of course being a young daredevil CAPABLE of jumping over the front of a vehicle at a ¾ run coming out of a parking lot I would simply do a front or back flip and run off.
    I used to LOVE playing on concrete due to the quickness of the court compared to indoor courts. Young people TRULY need to listen to THIS post or suffer the consequences of degenerative joint issues!
    THANK YOU for making this review! I USUALLY get my custom orthotics from the VA but I'll DEFINITELY check these out for my summer outdoor court resurgence back into the sport I LOVE!

    Flat foot, one achilles rupture and the other achilles weak…
    Game day in my Puma CourtRider 1.0’s…
    Been amazing! Gives me an initial quicker first step with how it supports my foot (created a rocking motion I don’t initially have because of a flat foot), Less soreness in foot and legs after games, when I got plantar fasciitis I put them in my everyday shoe.. helped a ton and my foot healed faster. It just feels easier to walk and run! Easier transfer of energy in the walking and running motion.
    Gonna need to re-up soon!

    I have two pairs of the game days. One currently using and another unused. These helped me a lot with pain in my plantar fasciitis. Because the heel cushion is higher than the forefoot so these help keep me on my toes. Question for anyone on the team, unrelated to insoles 😬 If we're considering getting a shoe that's been sitting, brand new, how old is too old to be considered wearable? Chris talks about wearing new shoes around the house to get the glue to bind and keep them wearable - if a shoe was released in 2019 and is still brand new, is it going to flake apart on me? what about 2014?

    • @WearTesters
      @WearTesters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ten years is roughly the starting point where glue dries out. It’s not a guarantee though so if you can inspect the shoe prior to purchasing and press around the edges where it meets the midsole then that’ll show you if the upper still bonds. If you’re buying something old try to look for something lightly used. That’ll usually allow things to last longer since it’s been used before.

    I use the standard ones in my dame 8s and they feel good. These are great for my issue of sneakers usually being too roomy in the toebox. My only concern is the slight lift they give to your heel and the risk for ankle sprains. I plan on making my next pair of shoes ones that have a lower heel drop in order to compensate.

    I got a pair of game day pros in Jan. Shipping to Australia was as predicted, it was a little steep so I bundled with someone else. Sizing was perfect. Definitely an upgrade on the stock insoles in my pumas (Clyde all pro indoors and legacy outdoors). Also way better than the other insoles I’ve tried over the years that require trimming. I’ve have custom orthotics, which are great for casual/day-to-day, but don’t play nice with soccer boots or bball shoes. Even with the shipping, these are great value if you don’t want go down the (more expensive) path of finding a good podiatrist and getting custom athletic orthotics.

  • @Lon612
    @Lon612 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So I bout a pair of the game days while I was nursing a groin injury. I put them in my Kobe 6 and was sold, so I bout two more pair for my UA future x and my puma Clyde all pro. They feel good in all of them but there is no traction with my socks so there’s a slight slide in the shoe with lateral movements. It really bugs me so I took them out and haven’t been using them. So my question is do the pros have more traction than the ones I have?
    P.S. did your Jordan 36 break in yet or still chafing your pinky toes? Mines killed both of my pinkies so I’m hesitant about breaking them in. Thanks!

    • @WearTesters
      @WearTesters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The 36s do break-in eventually. You just have to be careful while your foot is healing.
      For the insole, you may be sliding on the sock liner. I’d trying using a sock that is a bit rougher in texture or something with a sticky bottom and see if that helps resolve the issue. It’s something we can bring up in our next meeting with Move though. Would be a good improvement to get a sock liner with a bit more texture.

    • @Lon612
      @Lon612 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The problem for me is I wear my shoes with a snug fit out the box so with the insoles I don’t have the room to wear my athletic socks or ones with grip because they’re too thick so I’m stuck with hanes or and 1 just to get in the shoe

    • @WearTesters
      @WearTesters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d recommend trying it out. You might feel the shoe is too snug with your athletic socks to start, but after a quick warm up they should start to feel more normal. That could be why you’re sliding on the footbed. Cheap socks definitely are slippery inside of some shoes so that could be the issue more than the liner of the insole.

    So I purchased both the game day and game day pro. Both size 8 which on the package says it fits 8-8.5. Place the game day in a size 8 shoe with no creasing but noticed the game day pro creased in the same shoe is it because the plate is stiff which if the insole isn’t perfect and too long causes tension thereby creasing? Also if that’s the case would you recommend the 7.5-8 particularly with the game day Pro? Thank you!

    I tried swapping the insoles in my KD15 with power step pinnacle max insoles to support my arch, but something doesn’t feel right. I lost a lot of court feel, and the forefoot felt weird. I could feel the zoom strobel unit in the center of my foot, whereas with the original insoles it felt like a diffuse responsive mushy cloud under my forefoot.
    1) Would the game day insoles work better in KD15 than powerstep pinnacle max?
    2) Are there significant disadvantages to having an insole that is not glued down?

    • @MoveInsoles
      @MoveInsoles ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Have you played in rigid arch support insoles before? The podiatrists always suggest flat feet athletes play in more rigid arch support insoles (like our Game Day Pros), but our experience is that the customers that are new to insoles and have flat feet are better off dipping their toes in with our standard Game Days and then working their way up.

    I have custom orthotics which I always use with New Balance.. But what if you want an orthotic for casual wear - in Keds, for example - where you can't take out their insole? And my custom is too thick. Would Game Day thin enough to use with the Keds insole? Also, how wide is the insole, at its widest, for a women's size 9 ?
    Thanks.

    So do I not have to remove the shoe's original insole? I can just slide it on top? I have the PG6's for reference.

    @Chris @Weartesters, How would you compare the foam compound of the Move Insoles compared to the older OG molded Micro G insoles UA use to supply in their basketball kicks? Still swap out any stock insoles for my Micro G insoles for the added shock absorption for my achey knees and ankles.
