FOOT DR ZACH !!!!! Hands down the best TH-cam Chanel and Video Creator I have ever come across. Hope you see this. I appreciate all the hard work and analysis you put into your videos.

I tried the super feet adapt run and those were great for me when playing basketball. Practiced with them for tennis but not a match yet. My favorite insole so far.
That would make sense if you dont like these youd like the adapts, much different feetl - thats the nice part about superfeet- they make so many profiles one is bound to work for you
Custom insoles and stuff like this are a massive upgrade. I used to get horrible shin splits and just be super sore no matter what I’d try. Went to a quality insole and it immediately resolved it. A massive upgrade.
Great video! You should look at the footprint insoles gamechangers. They were designed to reduce as much shock as possible. Originally meant for skateboarders, but top acrobats in cirque de soleil use them to protect from heavy impacts. I have had heel, knee, and hip pain and I can tell you that they have done wonders in helping me heal. Not necessarily something to give more energy/ more speed/ more jump height, but more for protection of the athlete. The at home custom orthotic also helps me a lot when I’m teaching for tons of hours on the court.
Another great informative video! I purchased the Power step because of your recommendation and I think they are great. I did notice an increase in speed and jumping. My performance on the basketball court is noticeably better. My only complaint is I wish the cushioning in the heal was softer. But I guess if it was softer it wouldn’t be as responsive or supportive. Thanks for another great vid!
At first i dont believe them. But when i tried the superfeet i was shook. Totally changed my basketball shoe. No knee and feet pain. Already ordered game day pro and excited for the performace. I should have use aftermarket insoles before.
Hey this was very informative. I've been using the both game days (pro and normal) to play padel and I can really feel a big difference in my feet. My go-to is the pros though.
I strained my plantar fasciitis wearing Kyrie Flytrap 5. Found your channel and a few others and watched every show recommendation; especially for wide feet, and heel/arch issues. I recently bought the Nike Giannis Immortality 2 in a .5 size up (11.5-12) and installed the Move Game Day insoles and my heel pain did not bother me during a game. My ask... Can you do a review on the best sleeves for plantar fasciitis?
Bro ive had these since 2018-2019..they havent deteriorated at all and i use the same ones in all of my basketball shoes...im definitely getting new ones these are the way to go
Great review, however does that make the cushioning setup of the shoe (like LeBron 20 for example) not useful anymore since you're reliant on the insole now with these?
I play a lot of pickleball with Adidas Ubersonic 4 and the Nike GP Turbo shoes. With Ubersonic 4's standard insole, my feet hurt within one match of play. The Move relieved that pain and I'm able to use the Ubersonic 4s for a full session of play without pain. These are my preferred shoe for pickleball because of how light and quick they are. GP Turbo is much more cushioned, so the pain isn't an issue, but with the Move insole, it's more stable and I feel like I'm able to react quicker on my feet with the Move insoles. I'm planning to buy two more pair so I don't have to keep switching them in and out of my shoes.
As a stiffer orthotic, as you said, how do you think these would do in something like the Kyrie Infinity’s? (Which a lot of people say is a more flexible shoe compared to other performance basketball shoes)
Thanks for reviewing these! I'm curious the differences in performance between these (the gameday pro) and the cheaper Game Day version. Have you had a chance to try them out yet?
@@FootDoctorZach Big fan here! I actually own a few pairs of both. The regular Gamedays do have an x torsional arch support bar, similar to the pro version, however it is definitely much less rigid and allows more flex. There is also some less pronounced arch support. Since regular insoles do not include any type of plastic torsional support system, would be safe to assume that the regular version would still offer some additional support and enhanced performance when compared to a regular foam insole?
I got mine today, and tried them out for just walking. It feels pretty similar to the Zelus Olympus Pro. A bit of a deeper cup, and the arch might be slightly higher, but stiffnesses are pretty similar. I've used those for some time and they don't wear out too quickly (unless you make my mistake of chucking them in the washer and then dryer without putting them in a case and doing it at lower temps) I'd love to try them out playing volleyball once the pandemic is a bit more under control.
These are definitely inspired from the air jordan 1 1985 insole. The construction is similar, and the difference is the insole was solely rubber foam and the fabric lining.
Will have to try these as Pinnacle is WAY TOO bulky for Asics Gel Res. 8, causing the heel to exit the shoe; however, viewers here are fatigued on OTC orthodox merry go round of test and failed OTC. Question: The January 18, 2011 edition of the NY Times published an article about foot orthotics. The article used comments from a few doctors, particularly a Dr. Nigg from the University of Calgary to raise doubts about their use and effectiveness. As you may recall, this caused a heated discussion on just how beneficial orthotics really are. Biomechanics, as with so many issues dealing with the human body, is an inexact science with several overlapping, competing and sometimes contradictory theories of explanation. I have read a lot of articles on both sides of this issue having very FLAT FEET and I remain permanently confused on the issue. Personal experience has also reenforced that position, having worn insoles for tennis in the past and still suffering from foot, knee, and hip pain at various times. Where do you stand on over the counter orthotics in general in very simple terms?
Great review! I may check these out eventually but lately I've been enjoying my Hefe Luxx Original insoles which are based on similar tech as Adidas' Boost foam used in Ultraboosts. Would love to see you review those
Love your videos and reviews. I was wondering if you could recommend & insert for someone on there feet over 13 hours at a retail store 6ft tall 225lbs. Flat feet and no arch whatsoever. Please and thanks 😊
I noticed you mentioned wearing these insoles in the Nike Zoom NXT in your review. Given that you thought that shoe could use a tad more cushion in the heel, where they a good addition to the shoe? I am curious as I purchased the Zoom NXT (and love them) and was interested to know if you thought the insoles enhanced the shoe and comfort and were a good match.
@@FootDoctorZach It sounded like it might be. Ordered my MOVE insoles for my Zoom NXTs today. I will give it try. MOVE has a nice 30 day guarantee if you don't like them.
@@jpleyer2026 The MOVE insoles were good, but I preferred the POWERSTEP Pinnacle in the end. They also make specific version for flat feet and high arch feet, so that made a big difference.
Are these sports-oriented orthotics good for everyday wear too? I see Move offers an "All Day" model too. I'm thinking of trying the Game Day Pro, but am wondering if they are good for when I am not playing tennis -- running errands, getting groceries, etc..
Yeah there’s really no rule- there’s pro level athletes that can’t tolerate anything more than cork and foam and then there’s people who haven’t worked out a day in their life that love rigid orthotics or “sports” orthotics - really just comes down to preference

Thanks for doing this video! I also got these and I'm curious as to why this didn't work for myself, I thought the arch didn't go far enough forward and made the insole very uncomfortable under my arch.
Just wondering, could a poor OTC insole replacement choice cause more harm than good? I purchased a pair of Move Game Days a few months ago, and they worked amazing for my KD shoes. However, when I tried them on my Kobe's they still felt amazing on my feet, however, because of the atlered fit, the heel feels ever so slightly higher (didn't affect lockdown or anything, it was barely noticeable and things felt great). I rolled my ankle twice in two weeks just doing movements I usually make on the court since making the change. I'm starting to suspect that this switch could be the culprit behind this In this case, could the factory insole serve me better even if they're not fancy/supportive (If it ain't broke don't fix it kind of scenario here)?
@@MoveInsoles This was in a pair of Kobe 6 Protros. I don't think it altered it that much.. but it was just enough to cause me to be unstable in the shoe I'm guessing? I haven't had issues since switching back to the stock insole.
I own a pair of Zoom Freak 4's in US9.5, I usually go 9.5 if i want a sorta snug fit, do I chuck the insoles in ontop of the insoles that come with the shoes or do i have to remove the standard insoles since I'm worried adding the game day pro's ontop would make it too tight to fit.
How do we navigate the sizing if we're a 10.5-11 size? Compared to the sizing of these insoles that are 10-10.5 and 11-11.5, does that mean sizing down is better so that the insoles fit the shoes?
I love the Game Day Pro but the heel wore out. Do you have a recommendation that will fit and perform the same but last longer than a couple of months? Basketball and pickleball are the main use cases
im trying to look for the silicone sleeve you are talking about to improve these insoles, but im not sure what it is exactly. are they the thin silicone you wrap your foot with or is it padding you put over the insoles? thanks
Doctor Zach, love your content, is there a such thing as an orthotic midsole, such that could replace that in the G.T Cut or Kobe 9/11 ? (Other than custom which can be pretty expensive)
How do you feel about this insole for use in tennis? Since movement in tennis is more lateral movement and most people perfer to be lower to the ground. Meanwhile basketball is more forward movement/running Good overall or better for certain sports?
Yep I don’t really think certain orthotics are good for certain sports unless it’s carbon fiber which I think only is good for running so they’ll perform same for pretty much anything including just hanging around in them casually
Appreciate the reviews as always. In regards to the insole reviews you have done, do any provide support for ball of foot pain while playing basketball? Most insoles are giving support to the heel which is nice but not what I need. I feel regardless of shoe, at some point that midsole and support bottoms out and that ball of foot pain comes in and takes me out of activity. One of the best shoes I have experienced lately for support with that was the Puma MB.01, but that pain came around after about 4 uses. . The Jordan 36, KD 14, PG 5, Kyrie 4 low brought pain all in the first day wearing them and it never subsided. So I am really trying to find an insole that will fight against the excruciating pain. Thanks for all the reviews and information and thanks in advance for any info you could provide in regards to the insoles and support against foot pain.
Orthotics offload the ball of your foot by propping up your arch - you can get custom made that have extra cushion but the real work is still being done at the arch level
Hey Doc, I am a 14yr old basketball player from India...I am looking for shoes to play on outdoor courts with great durability and cushioning.. My budget is kinda tight with $100 to $125. I was thinking bout the "jordan zoom seprate".. which shoes would you suggest to me? P.S: I play mostly power forward/ shooting guard!
If you can find a pair in your size, I'd recommend the Under Armour Hovr Havoc 1 or 2. The 1 is a great all-around shoe, the 2 is suited well for outdoor use.
Hey I've been watching your videos for the past couple days trying to find my answer. I'm 300 pounds using tennis as my cardio since its fun. I have flat feet but I would also like some support that wont get killed in the first few days. I have a pair of Hoka's for walking and I am currently leaning towards the Yonex ECLIPSION 3 for being flat footed. Would those be good for someone of my weight? Thanks in advanced!
Hi Zach, I'm a Sports Podiatrist dealing mainly with Basketball, Football and Running. Are you are able to post a link to the research around Orthoses and heart rate? I deal with elite national and Olympic level athletes this may be of interest to. Cheers
That’s awesome- I got the idea from an abstract when I was a resident so no idea , the only peer reviewed study I know of is Zhang in JCM www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0899346707000420 but that was table tennis with custom not otc inserts and not in a podiatry / ortho surg journal and no idea what the quality of the orthotics were so not sure if you would want to base anything significant on it - at best my videos should be level 4 and with a cohort of 1 haha- but I’m always down to collab - interestingly there is a whole body of work on various prosthetics and assistive devices lowering heart rate vs one another - I think it’s just the nature of the orthotic space that it’s hard to get objective data when there’s so many variables within the orthotic making process itself
For someone with subtalar joint arthritis who still runs/jumps a lot but feels a lot of pain afterward, which insole (between Game Day Pro & Powerstep Pinnacle) would provide more support?
Please do a review on the copper fit insoles. I would like to know your professional opinion as well as comparisons to your other recommended insoles. Thank you.

I'm looking to buy the new PG6 with the React foam or getting new KD14's and putting new insoles in them from the start. Sorry for the ? but would you recommend these pro's or the Powerstep brand? p.s. After watching your powerstep vid, I just bought the pulse performance ones but I can return them. Looking for max performance please!
You had a very neutral stance on the video saying these are a great pair to buy otc but your favorite is powerstep. if you had to recommend one of these to an athletes would it still be powerstep or would game day pro take the cake?
So at $40. for the Move Game Day insoles and $60. for the Game Day PROs, how long can you expect these insoles to last? Do you need to replace them with every pair of shoes at the same time? Every second pair? Every third pair? What do you feel is ideal?
@@FootDoctorZach So in general, replace insoles at the same time you replace the shoes? I read somewhere to change out your shoes after 45-60 hours of play or when they become visibly worn, whichever comes first. If you play three times a week for 2 hours a day, that is about every 11-12 weeks (or 3-4 months).

Can you give a review on some good shoes for ankle support. Had a atfl tear ankle
Can you elaborate a little more on what this will do for someone that deals with plantar fasciitis?
Orthotics take pressure off the fascia and redistribute pressure and shock off the bottom of the heel
Would you recommend these for tennis players with Achilles tendinitis ?
I own a pair of Zoom Freak 4's in US9.5, I usually go 9.5 if i want a sorta snug fit, do I chuck the insoles in ontop of the insoles that come with the shoes or do i have to remove the standard insoles since I'm worried adding the game day pro's ontop would make it too tight to fit.
How do we navigate the sizing if we're a 10.5-11 size? Compared to the sizing of these insoles that are 10-10.5 and 11-11.5, does that mean sizing down is better so that the insoles fit the shoes?
Hello, I play tennis 3 times a week. In your opinion, for the game of tennis, what would be the best insole today?
Great review, checked the website are the sizes in UK size or US size? And do they ship overseas?
I assume US and I’m not sure about shipping you’d have to contact them
@@FootDoctorZach thank you
Could you do a review on the vktory insoles and then compare the two insoles
th-cam.com/video/M74woevSiXs/w-d-xo.html
I love the Game Day Pro but the heel wore out. Do you have a recommendation that will fit and perform the same but last longer than a couple of months? Basketball and pickleball are the main use cases
i put a piece of duct tape over the exposed foam under the heel
I noticed 1 pair is $40, that means 2 insoles for left and right shoe right? First time purchasing replacement insoles!
Yes a pair
I think the replacement for the blushield 5 (the Blushield Torneo) is out
I saw that on holabird - looks a bit stripped down from the5
Can you review the Vktry performance insoles?
sir please make a video on best shoes for volleyball under a budget.
Recommend these for playing volleyball?
Can't find these insoles almost anywhere for my size !!
Would you suggest this for someone suffering from peroneal tendinitis or a different insole?
These wouldnt be my first choice
im trying to look for the silicone sleeve you are talking about to improve these insoles, but im not sure what it is exactly. are they the thin silicone you wrap your foot with or is it padding you put over the insoles? thanks
So in this case I'll get the insole that fits 13.5 & 14 instead of size 14 & 14.5
can you also review just the Gameday's?
At some point- they’re mainly a factory insole replacement
Do the bowling ball test on them. Lets see how much shock they absorb. Thats what’s actually important
I’ve never found that to be a good indication of performance unless you want something to be absorptive and not rigid
Could you do a review on the foot print insoles for skateboarding impact?
It’s in my top 5 orthotics video that just came out
@@FootDoctorZach heck yeah! Thank you ill chickity check it out
Should I put these in the kyrie infinitys?
I’m trying to find out if this helps with blister prevention because I always get blisters while playing basketball
How often should we swap these out?
do footprint insoles...some of the skaters used that insoles...
have em- soon
Hi, dr. Zach. I have sesamoiditis in my right foot almost every time I play. Sometimes the left foot hurts too. Do you think these could help ?
the shipping costs for folks outside the US are a pain in the neck
Would this game day pro help plantar fasciitis or just game day ?
Doctor Zach, love your content, is there a such thing as an orthotic midsole, such that could replace that in the G.T Cut or Kobe 9/11 ? (Other than custom which can be pretty expensive)
Not that I know of
@@FootDoctorZach new business idea ? 💰 lol
How do you feel about this insole for use in tennis?
Since movement in tennis is more lateral movement and most people perfer to be lower to the ground. Meanwhile basketball is more forward movement/running
Good overall or better for certain sports?
I couldn’t say without examining you but I loved the separates on outdoor courts
Doc does this insoles thick and can make your shoes tight? Thanks
Have you tried the Sole insoles? They are EVA moldable (they also have a cork version)
Yep - more for comfort vs performance/ increased function
These work well with the gt cut 3? Especially since the insole is takeoutable?
By any chance, do you have an opinion regarding the Vionic Active Orthodic insole or the Dr. Kong Universal insole?
Nope never tried
Hey I've been watching your videos for the past couple days trying to find my answer. I'm 300 pounds using tennis as my cardio since its fun. I have flat feet but I would also like some support that wont get killed in the first few days. I have a pair of Hoka's for walking and I am currently leaning towards the Yonex ECLIPSION 3 for being flat footed. Would those be good for someone of my weight? Thanks in advanced!
Theyre fine for the weight but they do run narrow so just watch for that - they do come in a wide version though
@@FootDoctorZach thanks for the reply! I’ll watch out for that!
I am not sure which to get between the power steps and move game day pro or even the vktry. My main objective is to jump higher which do you recommend

Do these insoles fit inside adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2?
Can you do vrkt insoles review
think i should get these for the all city 12?
So I if put these in the UA future x it might improve my jump height more than it would in the Jordan 36
That was the trend yes, id need a lot more data to back that up with facts but thats what i was noticing
Please do a review on the copper fit insoles. I would like to know your professional opinion as well as comparisons to your other recommended insoles. Thank you.
Not my favorites but they’re ok
My man Zach! I"ve just started watching your channel and you are great and I so appreciate your time.
Thanks! honestly they're pretty similar- the game day pro is a bit lower profile though
Hey if you havent bought the shoe yet i suggest you dont buy kd14 if you are going to put in your own insert
You had a very neutral stance on the video saying these are a great pair to buy otc but your favorite is powerstep. if you had to recommend one of these to an athletes would it still be powerstep or would game day pro take the cake?
Depends- if you like low profile and a bit more step in comfort then these if you want more aggressive arch support then powerstep
Off topic: how often should we replace basketball shoes?
th-cam.com/video/6d_AiFEiM90/w-d-xo.html - check that video out
They remind of a earlier insole called the insite insoles
But yeah thanks for the review seems to be the def best insole for bball players rn
Glad it helped 👍👍 yeah the fit + support is a nice combo
What is the silicon sleeve you are referring to for cushion?
amzn.to/3EKtYRJ
Can you use the game day pro on the running shoes?
If they lock down well enough
So at $40. for the Move Game Day insoles and $60. for the Game Day PROs, how long can you expect these insoles to last? Do you need to replace them with every pair of shoes at the same time? Every second pair? Every third pair? What do you feel is ideal?
Most OTC insoles including these last around 3-4 months
@@FootDoctorZach So in general, replace insoles at the same time you replace the shoes? I read somewhere to change out your shoes after 45-60 hours of play or when they become visibly worn, whichever comes first. If you play three times a week for 2 hours a day, that is about every 11-12 weeks (or 3-4 months).
Can you do FPS insoles pls
hey zac,I wonder if it will change the original heel drop which shoes already have(7~12mm, make it too much heel drop(like above 10mm
Any insert with heel height will raise that yep
