@@mo0nkid dang how is that hateful /: Just wanna say beforehand.. I don’t hate you, semler or anyone here, but I agree that it’s God that calls it what it is not man. God convicts us of our sins not because he hates us but out of love. If you love your child and you know what’s best for them you will do everything in your capability to help them. The Heavenly Father looks at us as his children and wants the best for us spiritually. We may feel like something is a good thing but if it goes against Gods will it’s just pleasing the flesh & not the spirit. Just want to tell you no matter where you’re at, who you love or what you do… God loves you. The church loves you, the real church.. the believers in Christ. Christ came down for the lgbtq community, but not for them to love themselves even more… for them to die to their selves, and love Christ. To love their neighbors like they love themselves. Just like all Christians are called to do. Myself included bc your sin is no greater than mine. All of the hateful people who have shamed and belittled Gay Christian’s don’t understand that they are just as condemned for their sins as homosexual or trans people are. Adam’s one act of sin condemned all of humanity but Christs one act of righteousness justified & redeemed humanity forever.
I'm a 39 year old cishet white guy and I just want to say thank you for refusing to be silenced, and bringing your unique wisdom to the Kingdom of God. The combination of humility and confidence in your lyrics, the joy you have in your identity, it's so moving. Thanks for bringing some of God's wisdom to us all.

If so, how are you imitating your savior by making a comment like this? Can you explain to me what fruits of the spirit you are hoping are evidenced in your words?
@@ajturner4152 Truth telling is a fruit of the spirit. Glad you found you way back to Christ, and many churches can traumatize people, but the answer is not a corrupted interpretation of the Scriptures. You obviously don't have a problem with Christians criticizing Christians because her music does that, which is absolutely fine in principle. But that's all I'm doing, just in accordance with the Scripture as I interpret it. We're in a particularly bad phase of corruption and false teaching in the contemporary church, and we need to call that out with grace when we see it. That's all I was doing. This is, factually, a subversion of Christianity imo.

Honest to goodness, cut my hair in my dorm room after coming back for my second semester of Christian college and realizing over the break my parents thought I was “cured” of being queer, and that line got me through the ensuing guilt too. Keep being yourself! :)

But she didn't take you to church, she mentioned God, said sin a couple of times, intro'd as a Christian, but that's as far as it went. There is absolutely no "church" in any of her work.

@@cornfritterthethird35 I disagree. But that's the wonder of music, it's open for interpretation. Where I do have a problem is when people present as Christian, but they really aren't or are presenting a false teaching of the Gospel. That's not only misleading and dangerous, it's offensive to those that hold true to the Faith and the Scriptures.
@@matthamilton8479 I understand that.God's the only one who sees what's in her heart though.I personally don't think cursing is okay, but I won't question her relationship with God, especially since I give in to temptation too. I see people say that she's not a 'real christian' because she curses or has a tattoo, but that implies that christians are perfect, plus it's wrong of them to act like her sins are worse than their own (all sins are equal in God's eyes).
A lot of people want to become christians, but are scared because they think you have to be perfect to be one. Sure, her cussing in her music isn't the best, but she's reaching people who may not have considered christianity otherwise.
So when people tell certain people that they can't be a christian because x, y, z, they're turning away the ones who really need Him. After all, Jesus said that the sick are the ones in need of a doctor.
The other thing is, in order to be a christian, you just need to believe in God and that Christ is His son who died for our sins and have a relationship with them. So technically a thief could be a christian- an obedient christian? Not so much, (because we're supposed to turn away from sin) but still a christian nonetheless.
There are over 45,000 types of christianity and each one thinks they are the right one.There's probably people who think something that we do is a sin and claim that we aren't real christians lol.
Sorry to ramble on, I just had lots of thoughts come to me at once.😅
