- I'm very excited about this! I've always loved NPR's Tiny Desk videos. "Touchin' Don't Feel Right" is one of the songs from my upcoming album, "Into The Light." I wanted to give a little more intimacy to this performance by acknowledging everyone in the band with a special intro. This song leans blues-funk, but it's only scratching the surface of what I do. When it comes to "Into The Light" and all future albums, leave your expectations at the door.

56yo man.I watch and listen to as much music as possible. The drum kit and bass begins.Within 10 seconds I realize this might be worth the price of admission!! Everything is clicking and that band is tight,backing vocals come in and then Raine starts to sing. Yep I'm not leaving.I yearn for every word.I watch in amazement,pure joy.I realize the song is long and might be ending soon and then my brain explodes as she rips that guitars guts out.Holy**** ,that changed me. At first the camera swings across a three piece band....... before revealing eight very mobile musicians rocking it....my foot was bouncing too. Very hot jazz.
Seems as if this group of hers would be snapped up by the club circuit, ballrooms and (worst of all) the cruise lines but as far as recording....not so sure. Awesome musicianship and rhythm. I tend to hear too many guitars !!
Raine is amazing ( though the song's 'message' kinda was lost) and I shall definitely investigate further ( first time hearing today).
If this doesn’t win, the contest is rigged. The drums, the bass, the keys, the guitar, the horns, the vocals, the camera, all are fabulous on their own, but the way everything comes together is MAGNIFICENT
I expect even if this doesn’t win they’ll end up playing a tiny music desk concert in the future anyways. They sound really good and will probably pick up traction as they keep at it.

Any and everything that has bass in it, is an automatic win for me. Really love how the vocals first came in too and horn sections are often overlooked - I hope this is proof of why they shouldn’t be. Just adds so much more feel to it.

I saw this lady on Tik-Tok right. Damn, it's not often you see someone that can create music like this. I've seen it a handful of times in my life, and you don't even see that in some of the biggest artists that we have. This woman right here, IS her music. It comes right from her to you. And I don't know if you understand what I'm talking about. The effort isn't even noticable because the music is entirely her, What a talent. Definitely one of the most talented people I've ever seen play before. Not to mention the style. She incorporates a lot of jazz and that's definitely not easy at all, at least for anyone I know. And if you dig her stuff? Here's the real question... Who would you even compare her to? She's original all the way. Not many artists can take you from sheets gently blowing in the wind to a blazing ride on a rocket ship- and bring you right back home without changing the music and meaning. Been playing guitar all my life and she's definitely got it going on. Excellent band excellent structure. Really glad I had the opportunity to listen to this.
