  • In this video, I show footage I shot with various cameras during a recent big winter storm in Campbell River British Columbia. Rain blasted down and winds hit 90 kph. I start with some footage of a walk we took out on Tyee Spit and then from a drive down the coastline to look at some big surf.

Love storms, specially snow storms, out walking in ferocious blizzard is one of my favorite things to do. It is a blast :o) Had a look at the Pollen sweaters, really like that Basalt V-neck. A bit expensive though, but it looks like high quality. Very nice. Would love to own one. Love wool.

Winter tides are much higher during the day and the daytime low is a high low. One of the perks of the wintering here. Starting to change a bit now I notice a lower tide starting later in the afternoon.

You two are really bundled up, it's only raining. I usually just put on my wranglers, my Carhartt Duck Coat and a ball cap for rain. But then again, I dress the same for snow and cold winds too...

It was around 38F at the time but its the damp ocean air and biting cold wind off the water goes right into your bones. Also our blood is thinner now having spent the last 9 winters in southern climates. Not used to it anymore :)

Floods the area called Canal Park, destroys the boardwalk Duluth has many times. Very fun to go and watch the big swells when 🤔 when they come in. Fits me perfectly. I'm 6' 1" and 195 lbs. Usually, I have a problem with shirts being too tight in the shoulders and the sleeves too short but this was perfect. It's got a lot of heft to it, very well made. Also, it's wool but not scratchy.
