Amazing job as always Kandy Man, you always think about the viewer by giving us a lot of detail regarding what you are doing which isn't always obvious when watching the video, the 50/50 clearcoat seems to be very versatile by ging you a flat finish if needed then an OEM peel to match the car👌🙏👍John UK
Burning in clear isn't the best thing to do but sometimes you cant get around it....... As far as taping off that gasket - Just wrap multiple pieces of the tape from inside door lip over the gasket and onto the window..... It takes awhile but, it works good.
Just subscribed. I do the paint work for AJ Foyt in Texas and have learned some interesting things from you. Self taught so always happy to come across good techniques. Kudos, sir!
Candy Man Production is the best paint channel the only risk for me would be to apply the clear in such a short time without the risk of solvent pop. Do you use a fast hardener and reducer with the 50/50 clear.
Tips with EC530 would be very much appreciated, i know you have told me its very inconsistent but im stuck using that for the forseeable future and its a constant battle trying to match peel.
Hello, I have a question on when the clock starts on the clear between the 1st coat and 2nd coat? You said you waited 5 minutes between coats on that particular day. You paint the first panel then the second etc. go to the car and it might take you 15 minutes from the first panel to the last and that first panel is already dry. Are you going back and forth between panels and I'm not seeing it? One could get totally confused unless you have an assistant helping you keep track of things. Perhaps I'm making this way more complex than it is but you did say this clear is very sensitive to the second coat window. Thanks!!
First of all cool video second when you apply the wet bed yo spray on top of sealer when it’s repaired and do you wait until the wet bed is dry before applying paint?
Hi Kandy Man first of all thank you for all those tips you give us helping improve our work or hobby!! I would like to ask you for the grit of sandpapers you mentioned for the preparation are by hand with water or you mean dry with orbital sander?
What do you do to get different factory textures? I spray boats at 1 consistent pressure and we always have in my opinion a heavy peel. We only do 1 coat of clear.
So lets say i use Omni plus Mc161 high solids clear and i Have a Dv1 gun. temp is at 70-75 all the time i use slow reducer, wide open fan and fluid 3 turns clockwise from being all open 4 incches away what can i do to get a smoother finish 1.3 Tip to and 24Psi humidity is normal ?
What is better than a Kandy Man instructional video? Kandy Man in 4K!!! Thank you sir, 4K REALLY shows off the quality of your work!
Wasn't cheap lol 👊👊
Gotta love paint and body being done right. So many shops are stuck with low payouts so they specialize in just volume and the work suffers.
Thank you, sir!🫡

I appreciate that!

I show the way that works best for me. If you're having good results, then keep doing what works for you 👍
Great tips .. EC550 lays down nice . Which sealer ECS 8 series Thanks for the videos Kandy Man 👊🏻😎
Dang after watching this. I don't know whether to try to spray better or change careers! Lol. Great work.....🤘

Kandy Man that finished slicked out beautifully. Another top notch job at Mitchell collision. Have a great evening my man.
👊👊
Great video, thank you for sharing you skill and knowledge.
Amazing finish and match on the BMW.
Thank you
Man, that lumaiii 1.5OP exodus spray gun handles those higher solids clears so nicely. Great work brotha!!!
Yes it does
Always enjoy and learn something from your videos, just noticed your Foose tattoo nice!!!!
Thanks. Yes he signed it then I had it tattooed. 👊👊

Thank you. I use both slow hardner and slow reducer
Candy Man do you use a spot blender to blend old and new clear
That is beautiful. OE look!
Very easy to match the factory paint…. Just adjust your pressure on the gun .. so I will fit perfectly
Tips with EC530 would be very much appreciated, i know you have told me its very inconsistent but im stuck using that for the forseeable future and its a constant battle trying to match peel.
Same!
Thanks man! Great job !
No problem!
Thank u
👍
Is that car made out of glass? Because if it wasn’t, it is now. Glasswork as usual. 🔥🔥🔥

This was a small job so I used slow harder. Yes 5 min flash . If it's a big job I can use very slow harder which would extend the time 👊👊
Sick thanks for making this video.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the tips!
Do you spray this clear with the LPH400 as well? Does it atomize as good as the luma gun?
The lph sprays clear well .but the Luma is a finer coat
@@kandyman5315 thanks 👌

Either way is fine just make sure the sealer is dry👊
nice job

Great idea!
Hey kandy man. I’ve recently started using the dc 5050 clear with envirobase. Just curious at what temp your baking it at and for how long.
Thanks
155 for 25 min
Is that after the metal reaches proper temp or just 25 minutes total bake time?
What clear do you like best? Dc 5050 or Ultra 1100755? Currently we are shooting PPG but thinking of switching to Sherwin Williams. Thoughts?
Both are top tier

I use ppg 2021 want to try the 50/50 but it's not listed. Have project coming up soon. Is there another #
Thats it Delton 5050
Do you paint old school cars? I have a 1989 Chevy caprice LS brougham. I’m looking for somebody to paint my car.
Yes
👍👍👍
Hey bro is that long lasting gun ..all metal parts?.. i use iwata but im up for using new products..
I'm a fan
👍 matatan!!
How do I get in touch with you to see how much you gonna charge?

Good morning, I would like to remind you about my request for translation because I would like to learn something from your materials😢
I will try my best

i noticed that the clear gets smoother as i add more but its dangerous since its a high solids clear i can get runs easy
Turn down the pressure see if that helps
Most pro painters like you are using water based product which isn't relevant to those of us using solvent paint.
The only difference is the color coat
Hey where you located
Florida
Where can I get it to buy?? Don't want no orange peel
Ppg
