hell yeah, royal menagerie! the trial that puts you up against a dragon that manages to kill at least half of your party by creating a water spout on one side of the arena and turning the arena into ice!!! (flashbacks to the one time when only the off tank and i survived tidal wave, and then half of us slipped off during diamond dust. the joys of duty finder 🎉)
Kids these days don't understand how BRUTAL this fight was in 4.0 in i290 job gear. If you took ANY avoidable damage you likely died. The meteor phase I remember was so hard hitting that it killed i290 healers and casters without mitigation. Today it is still pretty tough but more because of the trickery of the thin ice and fracturing tiles than because of the raw damage

But watching you walk check the arena made me laugh 0:51 just like every other time this mechanic appears in the game, one can hear where the spout is if using headphones (or a good surround system ig) 2:44 -iirc that’s a scripted wipe. So unsyncing won’t save anyone lol- Tragically, this was not the case 3:31 for controller users, mash your abxy (or their shape equivalent on PS controllers), AND you d-pad, to quickly fill the bar. This one’s pretty easy, but not all ATMs are so generous 4:41 😂 6:00 omg I’d forgotten about those mechanics. I want to say I haven’t seen them in DF since ShB lol 6:10 random addition: this also works with Titan’s landslide lol Great guide!
