Also I had to grind this place soooo many times to get useable footage of each mechanic. Earth Breath took AGES. Also I was a little disappointed by this fight. After my first clear during the MSQ I knew the guide for this would be a lot but I was at least kinda looking forward to mastering another 'hard' fight. Ultimately this one is actually pretty easy and I think I only wiped one time when running it. Next up will be the moon and sun woman. Or something different. I'm cooking up another random video 🥳

Been playing more than a year and still look for your guides first because you break it down into 'you WILL see this' and 'you probably WON'T see this'. lol I don't need all the mechanics if I'm not going to see them.
Just play through it the first time as a scholar with a sage. We got wiped two times and succeed the third time. :) Just want to say thank you for this video. I have such a slow reflection on the mechanics, so I want to make sure I know everything before I head in as a healer. 😅 And this is definitely being very helpful!
As usual, thanks for putting this out here. After clearing this fight, I feel that I didn't fully understand at least one or two key mechanics that killed me or to the very least missed some visual cues. I'll watch this video a second time and clear the fight again a few more times until I'm better at it. But not right now. It's past midnight, queue times are not great on my data center. Or I'll go in unsynced as the mechanics are all really early, so doesn't matter if I deal no damage at all, I can just learn that way and then leave. On console, it is alright to press any button fore the active time maneuver. I didn't try pressing multiple buttons at once, but I'd guess that's possible to make it faster and should be done. Or how do you do that on keyboard? Mash as many keys as possible at the same time?
Yeah on keyboard you can smash any number of buttons. I usually just go 3 fingers on both hands and it trivializes any of these mechanics. And yeah, this fight used to take longer which is why there are more mechanics available than what you're likely to see in a single run, but power creep and scaling has made this a lot faster. Doesn't help for guides though as we still need to prepare for any of the mechanics.
The expansion mentioned in the video is the latest expansion at the time of recording. This is to help give an idea of how relevant/outdated the guide might be 👍
@@TomScottDoesStuff since it's a stormblood trial I suggest changing it from shadowbringers as it is confusing. Still don't know why you titled it SHB when it's a SB trial so not relevant really when you made it?
Regarding the name, basically the content itself is from Stormblood but the game at the time was actually Shadowbringers - so this is a guide for beating that trial in Shadowbringers (which was the latest version of the game at that time). In terms of relevance it's actually far more relevant because this was the most up to date version of the trial at the point of making the guide. Anyway, might be there was a better way to handle this but I wanted the up-to-date-ness of the guides to be readily apparent. So for example right now if you're killing this boss, you're not playing Stormblood, you're playing Stormblood _content_ in Endwalker. Does that make more sense?

My time was 2.33 and I was late to react cuz it was my first time.
The trick is to start beating up your keyboard before the prompt appears 🧠
