- I had Covid last week. It hit me hard and luckily I was feeling good enough on this day(May 11, 2023) to go do some flying. I wanted to see how the antler growth was looking. I found 26(22 on cam) does and 4 bucks in a pretty small 150 acre section of pine timberland.
You've really developed your game finding skills, watch all your video's. Thank you!
Thanks James! I really glad you’re enjoying the content. More to come.
How many acres of land was searched in this session? Beautiful video btw
It’s about a 150 acre timber tract. I found 26(22 on cam) does and 4 bucks(per the description).
@STRThermal Wow that's a high density population, 1 deer for every 5 acres. Have you thought of filming them on a live hunt? I always wonder how they react to search lights, sound and lights of approaching vehicles, footsteps etc.
@@impactodelsurenterprise2440 Obviously, supporting the hunt would be highly illegal. And my viewpoint is that even just filming someone else's hunt as an onlooker could be misconstrued(by anti-hunters or the law) as contributing.
I noticed that you have the obstacle sensing turned off, but at the same time the horizontal sensors indicated (at 334 ft. alt) an obstacle within 48 ft. reaching the warning distance, shown by the orange shading that was appearing. I'm just curious by that...........I'm going through my paces learning this drone.
The sun lower on the horizon will do this. Notice I'm facing east, so the sun would be directly behind me...at one point I get a signature on both rear sensors. It was a mostly clear day with some clouds in the west hiding the sun and allowing me to take off early...but I suspect the sun was peeking through. Another reason I turn these off as that would have been causing an annoying alarm.
When dropping pins, does every pin you’ve ever dropped always show up on screen ?
By default yes, but you can delete them or set them to “no show” or invisible. And you can also export them to save them and use them in other systems(google earth or hunting mapping softwares for instance)
