Hi. I am actually the MD (honest). I've worked with Glen for almost 15 years and he is certainly an asset to Fablink and our group of companies. I've been reading all of the comments with interest and for the large part, I agree, it is about education. I know each of the guys in this video personally and can tell you that whilst they may not have come across in the best of light, most if not all have the interests of Fablink at heart. Thanks to DJ Audit. I will be using this video as a training aid. I recognise that in todays social media age it is as important to be audited not only for compliance to procedures and processes, but how we also interact with the wider public. Thanks again and as uncomfortable as some are I look forward to reading more comments as they appear. John

This is good education for everyone. Common law and basic human / civil rights should be taught continuously throughout primary and secondary schools.

That's a nice reply from John the MD from Fablink, but the first person I would be inviting for a meeting with no chance of tea and biscuits would be the bloke that used the F word towards DJ. It was uncalled for and all bad interactions come with a cost to the company, when wearing a company uniform you always have to think about the company and any wrongdoings will be noted and never forgotten. It can take years to build up a good reputation but only take 5 minutes to ruin it.

Disciplinary for the guy that was swearing and commanding a member of the public in a way that would have caused an arguement in almost all scenarios.
@The Fierce Urgency Of Martin That is a bit harsh, I imagine you have swore at people before etc. Section 5 is such a trivial thing and should not make someone a criminal. Especially when it comes to language. And also the situation as well should be considered if everyone who swore is a criminal then almost everyone alive would be a criminal. You need to think of it objectively.
This is designed to educate not get people sacked for trivial things, and I honestly believe DJ is doing this to educate in this fashion and would not wish someone to lose their job just because they are trying to protect the company they work for in what to them is an unusual situation. John now using this to educate and in training is exactly the right response and I am sure he has had a word with the gentleman who swore and made them aware that it was not necersary with relevant warnings.
Beyond that the outcome is one of the best from any audit on youtube I have seen due to the simple fact it did educate and has affected a good change in the company.

Glenn is a guy who is well informed in a lot of actually productive things. I bet he makes good decisions in the growth of the company than those 2 guys. I am sure those 2 guys are always on leave and full of excuses

The boss was a lovely guy too, even if he did get it wrong about filming in the gates, we could forgive that. A lot don't know about camera laws.

Thanks for Glenn. He seemed to be the only one who knows the law and even knows what auditors do. The first bunch was appalling. Great advertising for the company!!! I hope their boss educates them how to talk to members of the public. I love the audience of these videos. People already went to Google and left a review even with a photo of that rude employee pinned to it.

An excellent audit and very interesting interaction. The comments by the MD of the company as very honest, fair and welcome. Glen was the voice of reason but these videos only show a glimpse of the situation. Excellent work DJ for composing yourself to the usual high standard.
I was half watching the audit putting the twins new bunk beds up,,when I fell asleep again,,, watching your audits are a fantastic Alice in Wonderland experience ,,well done ,,my amnesia is almost cured.

I rarely comment on other TH-camrs videos but this video is another great example of how more companies need to think about their security compared to public spaces. John Fry (company MD) was professional and kind enough to come on here (in the comments) and explain the company position as well as embrace the over all point being made here. Well done to Glen for explaining this to the troublesome individuals who I'm sure by now know better.

I don't believe Glenn for one minute when he says that Fablink are a friendly company. Not after the way the short guy with classes told you to move on and F off. The senior managers may be sound, but at a lower level they've recruited at least 2 rude and abrassive men.
In manufacturing companies you do tend to get a proportion of employees with no interpersonal skills...

Another great audit DJ. In the face of provocation you always remain calm. Also, the guy that came and calmed eveyone, he is an assett to the company, showed how to behave when dealng with people, and finally to the MD, who didn't have to comment, but took the time to and also freely admits that lessons need to be learned. With an MD who can admit faults and mistakes, that company should hopefully continue to grow and prosper.
Worth a revisit to see if Glen led a meeting to educate the company on professionalism and photography rights. Until then, FabLink is FailLink!
