while singing high notes the voice in audacity gets a lil distorted or breaks.. how to fix that ?

Nice tut. but i did have one question. Why do you select to record on a mono track instead of a stereo track? Mono compresses both left and right parts of the audio into a single track. Why do you think this is better?
I am using a blue ice microphone. I notice the volume is always quiet when speaking directly into the microphone and have to amplify +18db to get a half decent sound. Even then when I upload my videos they are a lot quieter than other similar ones. As mentioned I use a blue ice mic so I assume all the volume goes through there when I talk but does any audio go through the Mac? My macs left speaker does not work so sound only comes out of the right side so is this the issue or is there something I am not doing right? Thanks

Can someone help me out with an issue I got? Apparently, when I try to record a verse, the recording starts after the ending of the instrumental. What do I do?
Everytime I try to record something it just starts recording at the end the instrumental no matter how many other tracks I had
Audacity is like a word processor: you have to put the cursor where you want it to record 👍🏼
or the keybinds changed randomly which it does in audacity sometimes. fairly sure its shift R
Hey Jason! I'm looking at the plug-ins you mentioned but it seems a lot of them are not being updated anymore. For example spitfish only runs on 32 bit and it looks like you wa shock is only good for win 98/xp/vista? Do you have windows 10? 64 bit? let me know :)
Audacity only supports 32-bit plugins, so that's no problem. And I use You Wa Shock on Windows 10 without any problems 👍🏼

Im probably real stupid but I can’t record on the new track... If I press record, I have clicked on the vocals track before, it records at the end of the instrumental and not at the beginning of the vocal track.

@@mouradsibari1252 Well considering I covered how I write lyrics, develop melodies, record takes, refine recorded audio, apply EQ edits, de-ess, use pitch correction, add reverb, and mix ad-libs, you should have everything you need for your own song. Not sure what else there is to add.

Yeah, Auto-Tune actually isn’t built-in or one of the free plugins I mentioned. It’s a paid plugin made by Antares 👍🏼
