    🚨👋🏼 PSA: I stopped making Audacity videos as I've switched to Cakewalk (also free) because I needed more features. If you feel the need to upgrade too, here's some of my Cakewalk videos to get you started:
    Installing plugins tutorial: th-cam.com/video/GFilDyaT6WY/w-d-xo.html
    Plugin presets for voiceovers & music: th-cam.com/video/a3Cydu1BfuY/w-d-xo.html

    Is it just me or is it true that You Wa Shock and Spitfish can't be enabled anymore? I downloaded the plugins into Audacity, but when I try to enable them, all it says is effect/command failed to register *could not load into library*
    Edit: Did some research and apparently You Wa Shock and Spitfish are 32-bit which does not run on the latest 64-bit Audacity. Hope this helps whoever lands on this page with the latest versions of Audacity.

    Jason, thanks a lot for all this, it really helped out a lot man and I can truly see the results. Just one quick question, do I have to manually apply these effects each and every time I make a recording on audacity or is it automatically applied?

    • @jasonrtech
      @jasonrtech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Unfortunately, the plugins aren’t automatically applied, _but_ Audacity does save the last-used settings, so you won’t have to adjust those at all when re-applying them.

    • @jasonrtech
      @jasonrtech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Basically make sure you have the 32-bit version first off, then once it's installed, move the DLL to the Audacity plugins folder (you can just Google where that is). Then go to Add/Remove Effects and enable You Wa Shock from there 👍🏼

    Hello. Thank you for making this video. Question; how do you deal with potential background noise & static sounds during playback of a recording?

    • @fairsaa7975
      @fairsaa7975 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure you're recording on the right mode, the circle you want to be on looks like ass cheeks, it'll make the mic only pick up audio from your direction. Make sure it isn't picking up reverberations from your computer, if it is, move the Yeti off the table or turn down the computer fans. See if it's the cable too, buy a new cable. If you mean strictly in Audacity, leave 5 blank before saying anything and use Noise Reduction, it'll get a profile on those 5 seconds, and then select the whole recording and use Noise Reduction.

      Keyboard is hard to get rid of but using a good noise gate plugin should do the trick, just look that up as well as how to apply it. As for background noise, leave a large bit of silence at the end of your recording, then select it, select Noise Reduction, and select Acquire Noise Profile. Then select the entire track and apply the same effect.
