Wassup my Braddah! I missed out on another group trail ride you all had fun on! To all the mishaps that happened on the trail....Amen that you all were safe and sound at the end of the day! I knew of the event you all were gathering up for but, for me "work" made it impossible for me to join you folks this time around. Hopefully in the near future I will......untill next time my Braddah as always be safe...be healthy & be blessed! Aloha
@@GrandExploration it's a long way from home brother 😅 every year, I visit the state for a short course .. but this year the course happened to be in Australia
Real good video ✌️🦆. For your followers in NJ , PA , NY , DEL we have a jamboree coming up may 17 , 18 and 19 in Bellplain state forest the pinebarrons , all jeeps welcomed.
Man! Can you believe I did that trail in a stock wk2, solo, while it was snowing in the middle of January!? I mean she was stock stock. Just a set of mud tires. No lift, no extra lights, nothing. I can’t believe I was that dumb lol. Looks like you guys did a good job and had fun. And now the granite grand and great white have matching passenger door damage. Except mine has a nice fat dent in it and the fender! As always sick video wish I was there. Cool you got to see I think his name was Logan(my apologies if that’s not it) again! Cool dude! The guy with the Trailhawk from our Memorial Day run!
loved the video John, keep up the awesome work. the gap at your fender and passenger door, is your fender bowed out a bit, you musta made contact on the passenger side front bumper as some point which slightly shortened up your passenger fender. you can remove the front bumper, and make a gentle pull on the rt front lower mount bolt , gentle being the key word, and that bow at the back of the fender will dissipate. you can use a come along fixed to a tree as a easy fix👍
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it. Yes I’m going to have to give that a try. I don’t remember hitting the passenger side but the driver side got some hits and some dragging from the opening scene.
@@GrandExploration The opening scene impact on the left could have put stress on the right fender too, but typically that kind of stress would have appeared as a big gap between the fender and the hood. needless to say, once your have the bumper off, I'm, sure you'll identify the issue. look for slight paint breaks on the front fender lower mounting tab and it should indicate direction. when me and the wife get up your way, we will be hitting you up to do some wheeling. were in an old WJ, but she's a beauty and a beast!
I get about 15mpg. On the way back from this trip I was getting 18. The off-roading doesn’t affect it all that much. It’s more of the filming. After a full day filming in the trails it has dropped to about 11mpg.
Typically u can do cedar tree and firebreak 5 in about half a day… but y’all’s rigs aren’t ready for anything more than cedar tree for this time of year. Kudos to not bypassing things. Fb5 has a couple nice rock gardens that can swallow a lifted jeep. U can pick ur way through pretty easy but there’s a couple spots where u either need lockers or bigger tires / beadlocks for this time of the year. Summer time I feel confident saying u can make it through fb5 with the right lines. I’ll be doing the waterfall when it gets a bit better weather out.
FB5 is the next video. We did it all except the rock garden you’re talking about. We attempted it and got about a quarter of the way through. Like you said. This time of year. Rocks were slick and up to the door panels.

@@Moorejoyinthejourney looking forward to it! Thanks again
“How we failed at a moderate trail” 😂😂😂 love these videos man 😎
Haha appreciate it
I have been through that trail several times in my Landcruiser, but I have not taken my GC through it.
It ls a pretty cool trail. It’s sucks they cut down so many trees.
Awesome content. Quick one, does any of the WK2s in the video use air suspension?
🙏 thank you. Yes the black 5.7 in the video uses air suspension
Hey man how many miles do you get out of a tank in your wk2 day to day and how much does offroading affect that final number
