    Buy a Street Twin with ABS. Add a tail tidy. Replace the shocks with gas units. Replace the front fork spring with a stiffer spring. Remove those ugly gray headlight brackets and fuel injector covers and paint them black. Add some bar end mirrors. Replace the plastic brake reservoir with a black aluminum unit. Wear out those OEM tires so you can put on some good rubber. Now you've spent a lot of money but that's okay because the bike is great and you can keep it for at least ten years (assuming Triumph has sorted out the gearbox design problems, not that they will ever admit they had a design problem).

    I feel like those who complain about the Scrambler's exhaust are those who ride while wearing shorts

    Two great bikes - but I think for the price I’d stick with the Z900RS in spark black. More power and larger fuel capacity along with twin skinned/dual walled headers and twin clocks.

    I have the 18 model. Is the 19 just as satisfying throughout the rev range as the 18.? Or is it better?

    Was I imagining things or did I just listen to a first impressions test about a bike that's had a much heralded
    power increase without a SINGLE mention of how the new bike compares to the old in that regard ? …. rather
    just a guy reading out a list of specs that have been public knowledge for weeks ..

      That's why the title say 'First Impressions' and not 'Review - if you want to know more about the bikes head to BikeSocial. The link is in the description.

    Like the 865 was "65" hp the "extra 10 hp" might as well be a unicorn. These are not about speed or power, an FZ07/Ninja 650/Z650 will walk away from these. They are about pride of ownership, lovely looking bike, I don't mind the bottom seam it just doesn't matter what does it the build even though it's Thai it is superb, my Thruxton S is a gem.

    Still hate the tank’s exposed pinch-weld. Why would Triumph attempt to peddle an aesthetically pleasing “classic” model with a tank that looks like a vintage Chinese tin toy?

    The low-end torque sounds really good. But at those prices, I think I'd rather not fake it and get a Ducati Monster 797 instead.

    i just flipped over from watching M C N 'sreview same back drop, same bikes , were you all in a queue ; when is someone going to do an unscripted review

    • @bennettsbikesocial
      @bennettsbikesocial  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, we were in a queue! At a launch we are all given the opportunity to utilise the film crew for whatever we need to record - they will set up a camera with the bikes (although I changed the positioning of the bikes) and a decent enough backdrop and allow us to record our first thoughts/full review/an introduction/nothing at all. It's a tight schedule on a launch day and this is, for each journalist, a great opportunity to grab some content that we can mix with b-roll of personal footage (on-board, passing shots, tracking from a camera car, Go-Pro's, etc.). In our situation, the reason why we title the video 'First Impressions Review' is because it's an intro to the two bikes with some of my first thoughts. An overview which will hopefully persuade the viewer to head to bikesocial.co.uk to read the full review (as per the final line in every one of my launch videos!). Cheers, Michael

    Hopefully extra 10 ponies means Triumph have got rid of that awful, restrictive camshaft they put in the previous model. I like the 900s but I wouldn't be interested in the big lunky 1200s especially around town where I do most of my riding.
