    Oh my Goodness! Your persistence, dedication and patience is amazing!!! You created something beautiful and I admire it very much but as a sewer too I understand how much work went into this Spencer and so for me the beautiful part is you and the lasting impression I have is how impressive you are to have pulled this all off - congratulations!!

    Love your colour! I’m glad to see other people struggle with period sewing as much as I do! And I have several far more accurate names for ************ velvet!

    The final product is gorgeous! How did you iron velvet, when I've tried on a scrap it flattened the pile and it would seem ironing the interfacing is rather crucial?

      Thank you for your lovely comment! You can iron velvet, you just can’t crush the pile (the fury side). If you lay your fabric right side to right side with another piece of velvet then the pile won’t be squashed 😁
