What I respect most is that this is an actual bass part. There's some tapping and lead vibe moments. But he's Giving space and doing his job. Perfect!
As a drummer I have always been in love with the polyrhythm at 1:14. It’s enough to make your right arm and right leg sworn enemies. 😂
I've always loved the polyrhythm in We Bow in It's Aura - Veil of Maya & also the intro song to that same album called Pillars. The Pillars one is

The spacing looks nice and slapable! You can slap with an Ibanez SR 505 from experience and those are considered too tight to slap with by many at first.

This was refreshing to see. Usually the youtube videos are like LOOK AT MY 8 STRING BASS COVER OF WHATEVER and they play literally like 4 strings, you actually played this instrument to its fullest potential. New subscriber.

As a bassist beginner (I started just 5 months ago), it's crazy to see how easy and clean your slaps are in this bass. For me is insane because I'm learning in a 6 string bass and the slaps and double thumbs with 6 strings has been very challenging.

Man, you're too good. BTW, you are inspiring me to practice hard on the bass. I bought a 6-string fretless inspired by you on the Together as One cover.
Been following you for years and you're an amazing death metal bassist. This is why Animals As Leaders needs a bass player! You adds so much to the overall sound but then lace in extra parts for the bass to come through and fittingly so, and not to overreach. This is sick.
I like how this man pets his bass, and it purrs intricately.

This man obviously put in a lot of practice to execute this bassline so seemlessly, tight and accurately. As well as feel. That corps sense of groove/musicality. Which comes with years or decades of playing bass. A plethora of words simply to say how staggered I am by the videos I find on this channel.

I would love to see you do some Ulcerate some time and see how you can work around and within Michael Hoggard's guitar playing. The newer stuff is definitely more approachable as it's more hook driven, but even something from The Destroyers of All would be really fun to compose an entirely new bass part for.

It’s hard to explain to people how awesome that high F string is on a bass. It’s not the range, it’s the timbre of an unwrapped string mixed with a bunch of chonky ones. I love extreme extended range basses! This 8 is so cool! And wicked shredding as always ❤

I saw this live in a pretty small venue in charlotte NC. we screamed for 5 min straight for an encore and they played Cafo and the entire place erupted into the most intense moshpit i've ever beee in. AND I'VE BEEN IN LAMB OF GOD POSH PITS pre pandemic. They stopped after and were concerned about the crowd, i don't think they realized how much we cared
