Yeah, I think this too. When people think of Limp Bizkit, they think of Fred Durst, his lyrics, his persona, the attitude. Only super fans and musicians ever look past the image of Bizkit, and hear Wes Borland's guitar. For 15 years, I thought Limp Bizkit sucked. But as I matured as a musician and got better, I stumbled on Wes Borland. The dude is such a gifted writer.
I like that most of his guitars look old and beat up, and each one’s got a story to it. Glad he’s kept all of ‘em rather than just buying new ones. Severely underrated musician. Loved Black Light Burns.

Wes's creativity and laid back attitude never ceases to amaze me. The live rig setup is a sight to behold as well. Having seen this tour, the amp setup really pops in a live setting
He sounds awesome live. LB still sounds like a 20th Century rock band, a lot of shit that came later has a compressed/digital sound. Tones are all buried.

I have been following wes for years ever since he started. I get the stage persona, but when you see him do this, you can see how he thinks and feels with the gear. he is one of my favorite guitarists of all time.
The invader is a really heavy/bassy sounding pickup and when you remove the neck you remove some of the mud from the bridge , I'd do the same thing ...
@jeffrivera6 sure no problem, having an extra hollow cavity in the neck takes the lower frequencies out just like a chambered les paul, the invader is a very bass heavy pickup.
3:48 - I love how these Nu Metal guys have succeeded and can happily say “I’m not mad anymore”. Perfect storyline of that is Staind building their careers on anger, and when “So Far Away” tells the story of beating the slums to achieving happiness 🥲 It literally makes me emotional to consider all of their angst and then hear them say “I’m happy now”. God blessed those guys! All of them 🎉

see this what annoys me about wes. His ego. Ever since him and fred buried the hatchet and became friends, The bands output pretty much stopped. Like you cant have the BLB outlet anymore because your happy??? Why does that effect anything??? Like I hate that he thinks just because he made TWO records in a certain style, that he has to continue that way on the next which in my opinion defeats the entire point of ALBUMS which are snapshots in time. SAME exact problem with limp bizkit. Its like they feel like they HAVE to be stuck in the party band label and have just given up any hope or want to expand and be taken seriously. Which is why the recent EP (NO ITS NOT A RECORD) is such a jumbled mess. You can tell fred had no clue which direction to go. So just did all of them trying to satisfy everybody. What happened to NOT GIVING A F*C*? I always found that ironic as they always spoke of those we dont take crap attitude when FRED is actually as far as it gets from that. Freds insecurity is why the band has been stagnant since wes return in 2009. Such a shame. I just hope we at least one day get to hear all those albums they made but never put out.
The complete lack of neck pickups makes me happy. The straps and strap hardware being bomb proof, happy. Large chunks missing from some, decades of stories, etc. Awesome.

I own a Jackson RR3 V in ivory finish and it's been my number one since I got it. It will never leave my possession. When I got divorced I told my wife she can have the house, furniture, everything except my RR V and RR Marshall amp, my tools so I could make a living and my dog. When I left, I fit all my possessions in my truck. I got the better end of the deal.
I love wes's no shïts given attitude and the insanity that goes into everything he does but always remains professional, extremely talented and most of all UNIQUE
Wes is the reason I had a Roland JC-120 when I was in a band. Come to think of it my dirties were 5150 as well but I had the 5150 II. Not sure what model Wes is using. From silky chorusy cleans over to scooped high gain distortion will always be the way to go for me 🔥

Cool, I went to JR High with Danny Lohner. And I have tattoos of his former band back in Corpus. His brother Mark and my brother were big power lifters.
I went 7 string in 2002 because of Korn, Limp Bizkit, Fear Factory etc. and can't go back to 6. It's like missing a finger. The range you can get out of them is incredible. It's like having one guitar in every tuning between E standard and drop A without having to swap guitars.

Met Wes in B'ham before a show and was the nicest guy, chatted about pedals for a little while. 10/10 would meet again.
