- Stanford Baseball and Wake Forest Baseball played in the opening round of the 2023 College World Series. Like regionals, bracket play at the College World Series is double elimination.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Wake Forest got some bad bounces, but it just seemed to me that they were playing it too safe. Not running the bases aggressively, putting their outfield incredibly deep, they just didn't look like the team that blew out Alabama a few days ago. I feel if Wake plays this way against LSU, they're going to get destroyed.
Nothing taken away from Stanford, they had a great game, and they are a good team. Hope to see them come out of the Losers and face Wake again, that would be entertaining, though I think LSU is going to have something to say about that.
They didn't play there greatest game against Stanford that's for sure. I feel they will be more comfortable Monday night since they got a better feel for the field now. After the lighting delay they looked more like the wake team we've seen all year.
