- Texas State and Stanford played in game 7 of the Stanford Regional in the 2022 college baseball season. The winner would host UConn in the super regionals.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

The right fielder for Texas State has an arm on him.!!. The coaches should've seen that early in the game!! Then coach Rodriguez wouldn't of sent the runner home to get thrown out at home.! I was rooting for the underdog. They sure played good through regional to make it this far.!

That was John Wuthrich. He went to my high school in Midland Tx. He was the best player at lee high school in the past 15 years. I was really hoping Texas State would pull through.

I think Stanford played well given the fact they had to face Stivors for 8 innings. He is literally an All American and possibly a top 3 pitcher in the nation. Texas state is no joke they are pretty much a top 10 team
Texas state has 2 more losses then Stanford, they were legit contenders.

Man TXST had a hell of a season. Sad to see them exit in the Regionals. Hoping for a UT-A&M matchup in Omaha.

Play by play commentary on those last two HRs is awful, no excitement, announcer doesn’t even know the second one is a home run. Great game but there needs to be someone better on the call

just a bad take. announcer sounded excited with emotion and enthusiasm in his voice. he doesnt need to be screaming and voice cracking all over the mic to get emotion across. in all honesty that stuff takes away from the plays anyways.

@Stephen Abootman Nope because Texas state would have either been playing Auburn or Carolina and beaten either one EASILY. Nearly every analyst had Tx St advancing to Omaha and getting to Final Four with Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Texas. One guy even picked to beat them to upset Tenn before losing to Texas A$M in final game!

They got two top-20 opponents in their group. The high seed didn’t benefit them.
Texas State is ranked higher than some of the seeds. UCSB is ranked in the top-20. Stanford might be #2 seed but their opponents were the toughest by far based on rankings.
