Andrea, I'm glad you do realize what a blessing it is that you get to be a stay at home mom and wife. I love it and as you said we are truly blessed to be able to do that. I love serving my family. I didn't have the opportunity to do it as young as you but I'm sure enjoying it now. You seem so much more skilled and confident in the kitchen already since I've been watching you this past year. You are a joy to watch. Ty.
Just wanted to let you know another way to cook the pumpkin. All you need are a couple cookie sheets with sides, a baking rack, maybe a little foil to wrap the cookie sheets for easy cleaning, and of course, the pumpkin. Cut the pumpkin in half, long ways, Clean all the seeds and membranes out so it is smooth. Invert onto baking racks, and place onto cookie sheets. Because of its weight, place into a 350 degree oven and pour enough water under the pumkins so they don't dry out while baking. Bake for about 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of your pumpkins or winter squashes. Insert a fork into the skin of pumpkin to check for doneness. Whe they are done, take out of oven, let cool until you can handle them. Flip over and using a spoon, scrape out the pulp carefully, trying not to go through the skin. Puree pulp and freeze or can the pumpkin. Hope this was helpful for you. I have been doing this for over 50 years.
I have such mad pleasure watching your vlog! ❤🔥Even the winter episodes are full of color and warmth 🌞🌻And it motivates me to take action You're probably almost half my age, but I learn so much from you! 🤷♀🙂You talk very interestingly about motivations for action, your hobbies, and your thoughts on the passing of time, relationships and life in general 💁♀As I usually do, I watch your videos from the oldest (starting from the moment you gave birth to your daughter) to the newest 🙃 I think I've already written that - as soon as I'm done, I'm going to start watching your sisters' channels.😉
Okay my dear, I am clapping for you. I have never cooked a pumpkin. We didn't grow up eating pumpkin; we ate sweet potato. So go ahead and take a bow for a job well done! ❤
I love how squash lends itself to flavors like chili, even a black bean and squash burrito. Pumpkin cookies were always my sisters favorite cookie, she passed away several years ago and food still keeps us connected.
Thermometers are a must! My last stove was 50 degrees off! My new stove only goes up to 375! But it is turquoise so I forgive it! So glad you have Kiwi co!
We also had a volunteer pumpkin patch too! 10 pumpkins so far 😂. Also have been wanting to say that I LOVE your kitchen / retro style. My kitchen has original 1950’s retro slanted cabinets. I’ve fully embraced it adding back in retro style flooring and backsplash, mint green walls, vintage Pyrex, etc 😊
Yesterday was 80 and this morning I could hear the rain outside. ❤. The leaves have been falling and I am so excited about the beginning of Fall. ❤. Your pizzas look so good! What a wonderful tradition! That pumpkin spice latte looks delicious 😮! This whole video was just perfect! ❤❤ Loved it!
I cut the top of the pumpkin and scoop out the seeds, cut the pumpkin in half and put it in my roasting pan with a little water in the bottom to prevent burning. Bake it until the pumpkin is soft and you can easily scoop it from the shell. So easy! I take the cooked pumpkin and put it in freezer bags to have throughout the year.
Hi Andrea, I love the fall season here in Australia but I wished we had seasonal drinks and items to be able to purchase such as a pumpkin spice latte as I have never tried any of those fall flavoured drinks. I can make it myself though which is a bonus. Pumpkin puree is great and can be used for so many thing. happy all to you, we are entering spring/summer here
Hi Andrea! You can calibrate your oven temp. Remove the temperature dial and check the back of it to see if there are temp adjustment notches. If not, you can search online by brand/age to find out how to calibrate it. 😊
That was so much fun watching you harvesting that big pumpkin. You flower arrangements just spoke the Fall season. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. Blessing from the Tiny House in Texas ❤️ 😊
Hi Andrea I love adding cubes of baked pumpkin on my pizzas with bbq chicken, bacon red capsicum ( peppers) onion and fresh herbs Also I love making pumpkin scones (biscuits) Yes ,I am Australian 🇦🇺 😊 Thank you for another lovely video
So beautiful to see how humble you are to learning to cook and being a mother. I also subscribed to your sisters. Its great that you have such great ❤teachers ❤
Andrea, adding pumpkin purée to tomato sauce makes it go further and tones down the acidity of the tomato. You may already know this, but I really enjoy it and thought I would share :)
At Home with Willow Berry channel has a 1975 mobile home they are renovating. They have a 70's ish avocado range hood the same color and length of your vintage range. They will probably throw it out when they get to the kitchen this winter. You should view her videos because Valerie cooks in every one of them to see it. I would send her a message (she has her contact info in the description below them) and get it. Even if you guys did not hook it up you would use it above your range as decor. You could place your cookware set above or below it. Just an idea. It would probably cost hundreds to find it at a vintage shop! Loved today's video as always. The chili looked so yummy! See ya in your next video. Your vintage loving friend in OHIO Nancy....
Another valuable homemaker skill is learning to pressure can those low acid volunteers. Granted pumpkin is like 1 hour and 20 minutes, but a good investment of time as then u are not rushed to use it up before it molds and you have a nice shelf stable for years product that u can enjoy long after this volunteer patch is gone. Easier to learn from someone who has experience but if not surely your local extension def could provide safe advice for canning. I do not recommend the internet unless it has an. edu - crazy dangerous things I have seen proffered. Smart and safe!
Hi, Andrea! Discovered your channel through your sister Lisa. 😅 I love that rice is like a staple in your meals. And since you have a lot of pumpkins, I'm attaching a link here to my video on how we Filipinos enjoy squash as a side to our rice meals: th-cam.com/video/a1ZvY8gypXw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3eW4CnWzcbsV4ekq I hope you are having a good day!
I’ve noticed that both you and your sister light candles on the stove. Is there a special reason for this? Just curious. 😊 I use sourdough starter thinned out with water in a cast iron pan to make pizza dough. It’s great and typically no wait as you can use active starter or discard. Super yummy too!😊

Proverbs 31:28-29 Your work is blessing to your family. We’re blessed too!

Make some pumpkin fritters with cinnamon sugar on top; a favourite here in our South African household.

Incredible. 😮❤
Sitting here enjoying pumpkin latte
Many oven controls can be removed and adjusted with a small screw on the under side.
So proud of you!
❤Beautiful video😊 made me hungry for Fall cozy foods!😊
Andrea, use your pumpkin puree in a lasagne. You can use it instead of bechamel sauce.
Ooo yum!

Fun.
Do you know what kind of pumpkin/squash that is? It looks similar to one of my favorites called North Georgia Candy Roaster.
Does anyone know the little machine/tin cup she uses to froth the milk?
Nespresso Aerocino! :)
Hello from NC
Your chili looks delicious!
Could someone clue me into what kind of latte "mixer" she is using? I want one!
Nespresso Aeroccino :)
@@Oursweetsunnydays Thank you!!!
Is ur hairclip from temu? love it
Can you give me your espresso machine brand and how you make the pumpkin latte
It looks like a Breville Barista
She also runs a very successful etsy embroidery shop.
My oven was brand new, and yet the dial was out of sync and I find it so annoying, but I got an oven thermometer and go by that now.
Awesome cooking
God bless

I do it because there’s the least chance of starting a fire there to me.
Growing and cooking pumpkin is work, but so worth it for all the fall delicious food and drinks 🧡🤎
Yay for you!
