Dang slim J was definitely the star of the match. Took the best sell’s, made really cool spots, and his offense is so innovative.
I'd give the 2nd star to Cassidy's yambag for surviving that fall on the turnbuckle though.
That diving reverse DDT was cool

Oh my god, the anthill. When it comes to trios, chikara is one of the first companies that comes to mind. And chuck taylor and orange cassidy have plenty of experience in that
The Triple Dropkick in the corner was a Colony staple for a long time as well.
Rivarly between Chucky T and Fire Ant on Chikara was always the best and the most entertaining rivarly for sure
Chikara was long overdue for trios titles. King of trios was amazing every year as well
Love how they finished the match with The Colony's Ant Hill. Cassidy doing the splash like he did as Fire Ant (Don't know if Best Friends use this move as their regular finisher.)
That was a cool way to end the match. First time Chucky has been on this side of the move.
Orange is absolutely the smoothest freestyle wrestler. Truly unique .
FACTS I think he’s pretty underrated since his gimmick mostly overshadows his in ring ability.
What about orange punch copied from super man punch. But, he was really free style unique moves wrestler.

He just has this way of throwing his whole body into his selling that looks almost cartoonish, but in a good way

Got a big laugh when Danhausen appeared and was gesturing to Sonny to move out of the way so he could do his curse. All and all that was a good one, and for sure, Slim J had some awesome moves there.

I liked every single one of you individually before but not finishing move that you guys did yeah you're my you're my go-to triple threat you got it that was the best three man move I'd seen in years

SCU, The Elite, Strong Hearts, Jurassic Express and Lucha Brothers w/ Laredo Kid all had matches in AEW before OC even joined up with Best Friends
They're definitely not original, since they started as Gentleman's club about 13-14 years ago, and they're by no means the first trios in AEW.

Believe it or not best friends was the only team at the time to ever call themselves a trio tag team and no others did and Until this day they stand by that and you can’t say the same for the rest of the teams and Jurassic express had to be the worst trios team ever with that idiot Marko stunt who was dead weight to the team and same goes for Laredo Kid

@@willg1083 he's still green as hell and seems to not have tuned in his movements to look more natural. Hopefully with some of the fantastic guys in AEW, he'll have some allies willing to help him get there, and obviously hopefully he's willing and ready to put in the work to refine things. I think he's got the potential, now him and AEW need to put in the work before he can realize it.

I have a feeling that the Elite may not end up making it to the finals, I get the feeling that they may want to have Cole and ReDragon get in their way, but who knows.
Its gonna be Hob vs the elite or death triangle in the finals. Maybe united empire you never know

He's certainly got potential, but he REALLY needs to get some seasoning on him first. He's still doesn't look natural out there with a lot of the things he does. Hopefully he can smooth out those ragged edges and do well for himself, but a lot of big guys like him have been given these opportunities and failed to capitalize on them in the past, so it will come down to whether he's ready to put in that work or whether he'll try to coast on his size and look like so many others have done.
@@R0D3R1CKV10L3NC3 mostly cuz aew fans are sick of any guy who actually looks like they can beat someone up in a shoot, they would rather have someone they can relate to like omega or Adam Cole who would get their asses handed to them by the entire locker room in a shoot.
@@heroinabuser5980 I mean, I was talking about way more than AEW. Guys like Snitsky, Heidenreich, Nathan Jones, El Gigante, Matt Morgan, and the list goes on.
Just because a guy is big doesn't mean they're a good wrestler, have any actual charisma, or will put any butts in seats.
And if you actually think it's unbelievable that a "smaller" guy could shoot beat up a much bigger guy, I can only assume you've never heard of Royce Gracie, who humiliated guys who were much larger, stronger and heavier than him to the point that an entirely new discipline of "mixed martial arts" was born, so fighters could actually stand a chance against guys like Gracie. Or any of the countless other martial artists who have gone on to dominate guys with massive size advantages.
As a Special K fan, seeing Slim J made me happy
Best Friends are back! Love it! So far, the Trust Fund Busters are doing OK. I thought it may be a weird move to have Sunny in the group but so far, it seems to be working well in a strange kind of way. Kind of eclectic like the Wingmen. I did not know Ari Divari is a veteran of indie wrestling. Good to see him getting his own group and shining here. Hope they do well. So now there's... Ari Divari, Stoakley Hathaway and Sanjay Dut as rich boy managers. MJF will have competition! :D
