It’s just absolutely beautiful this channel. So positive and you properly put the time and effort in to get some great shots. Thank you very much I for one and I’m sure others really appreciate it. Paul
Great work mate, love your videos. I was lucky enough to be out the same night in Derbyshire and catched the northern lights to! It was a awesome show! Keep it up 🙌
Great compilation Andrew. Really glad September worked out so well for you after a pretty crap summer in the UK. What a show you got back at Perth - those pillars were amazing ! Superb images as always. Thanks for sharing. P.S. You're bang on about breaking things though rushing around. I smashed my NISI LP filter last week. Gutted !
Ah not fun when you break things but yeah god to slow everything down! So glad the season is starting up again and with good aurora! Hope we all get treated :)
Deserve way more recognition. I am from fife near culross and can’t see anything because of the bp refinery in Grangemouth. Such a shame many scots have never ventured away from central belt and looked up. I try get away in my van anytime i can looking forward to high pressure nights
Yeah I now just avoid the central belt for any astrophotography as it’s just not the same, thankfully Perth is beside the A9 which makes it easy to get to dark skies!
What a great month, Andrew!! Beautiful images and great vlog as always. The aurora is getting so strong at the moment - we’ve had a few very decent displays even down here in East Anglia. Bring on the Winter!
Great video once again Andrew. Have you seen the laser pointer that MSM make for you IOptron? It makes alignment a doddle. You can use the laser to align then fine tune for how exact you want it. No searching for polaris in the wee scope on the tracker!
Great video Andrew, September was amazing for the Aurora and got some great shots up here on the Moray Firth. Loved the shot of the milkyway at Glenshee. What settings do you use for the live video of the Aurora?
So ony birthday i goty first telescope (mixed reviews but seems like a good starting) and while waiting for it, it was one of the clearest nightskies ever and it made me sad coz i wanted to watch the sky btw if you're wondering what telescope it's a Celestron StarSense Explorer LT 70AZ 70mm
@@scotlandsnightsky I will got sure! I been wanting one for ages but always been shut down and told "I live in a. City so there's no point" or "you won't use it so much" so I wished for one in secret from one of my family members and it should be in to pick up by tomorrow, any tips to help me? It comes with a 10mm and a 25mm optics? Idk what they're called as well
@@SerbijaSupreme mainly just use the telescope for the moon, sun, planets, Orion Nebula and andromeda, that’s all about you can see, and the mm eyepieces are just different focal lengths of sight 😊
Hi I am planning a trip to Scotland in the last weeks of October, I am planning to take camping trip near Aberdeenshire solely to spot northern lights. Can you please suggest some good camp sites to spot northern lights around that time please

Thanks so much Paul for the kind words and i'm glad you enjoy my content! Be great to have months like this all season! :)

Yes! Welcome back to astro Andrew!
Yusss! Back with a bang finally! Glad to get into it all again! Been a looong summer 😅
@@scotlandsnightsky and what a comeback it is. Such great adventures and stunning results!
Some great shots you've got there. Im a binocular astronomer and i think i should move to the highlands!
100% the highlands are great! Love using the binoculars too!
Great video Andrew! thanks for sharing your September missions. I love the way you have processed your Milky Way and Aurora images.
Cheers man! It was a great month :)

Amazing pictures. I was lucky enough to see the aurora last week over the Irish Sea from an aircraft. Gotta love solar maximum

Yeah I've seen that and looks very easy! Probably invest in it at some point :)
Great video Andrew, September was amazing for the Aurora and got some great shots up here on the Moray Firth. Loved the shot of the milkyway at Glenshee. What settings do you use for the live video of the Aurora?
I use the Sony A7S and samyang 24mm 1.4 for live video as it shoots at ISO 200,000 which is mad 😂
@@scotlandsnightsky I'm not getting close to anywhere near that 😩
try to make the ground a bit more darker?? take short but many exposures instead?
Could do yeah, I like bringing out the foreground to show off Scotland's landscapes :)

As long as you are near the moray first you will have a perfect view of the sky if the lights come out! Best of luck
