The knife actually did pretty decent till the tip bending test.
Such a disappointing reaction from Busse and David Brown on Bladeforums. This video didn’t put me off the knives but their actions on Bladeforums have. i was just thinking about explaining JOE X to my normie coworkers, one sentence that took form in my head was "... you can only see his eyes, he has steely eyes like Vladimir Putin, like you were staring into pools of drowned babies"
I bought a Busse TGLB about 8-9 years ago. I never fell for the hype and knew nothing is indestructible. Bought it due to design, feel in hand wanted something different and 3v was so expensive for a knife that size. Anyway I enjoy your destruction vids.
Man I sure wish I had a home cinema to cozy up in with a bowl of popcorn to go through this video and the comments... Just started the video. Been waiting for this for a very long time. Part of me wants to watch this thing sail through, and another part of me wants to see it fail the water bottle test then just disintegrate on the car. Let's gooooooo!!!
Been waiting for this test. The knife did about as well as I expected, INFI’s mystical reputation comes from so few people actually owning it, and even fewer actually using. Indestructibility is a cheap trick, thick geometry low carbide, low alloy steel, no reason to charge a premium.
About what I expected a lot of hype but not any better results than plain old 1095 steel. Over priced for a untested knife the myth is over ... thanks Joe for the early Christmas present 👍
Congrats on the destruction!! I have many Busse knives and enjoyed this demonstration. I also have this model and have noticed that Busse has made the blade geometry better for cutting in the recent models. Earlier models were in my opinion bad cutters and more “indestructible”. This was very entertaining!!
This makes me appreciate the toughness of the humble 15-20$ Tramontina Machete i didnt know 1050-1075 steel was tougher than a busse. For a stainless steel i think it held up pretty well against whatever joe threw or shot at it
"And the truth will set you free." Do you know what you have done JoeX ? Many people will hang themselves after watching this video, lol. Indestructible INFI Steel???
He is not the first to make a video like this. There use to be a guy who made vidoes called Knife destruction, probably about a decade or more ago. Out of all the knives that could take a beating the busse (I forgot what model) survived and didn't have a critical failure. Yes, it could bend, but it never broke. That's what got me into busse and away from other major knife makers whose blades failed easily. I'm speaking of the blades they made back then, one of which I own is War Train Fusion. However, I can not speak for the newer blades Busse is making. The one in this video was disappointing. Fucking junk! I'm happy there is someone making videos like this again. Joe-X is a beast! Thank you!
Honestly, most knife and even some axe companies have fallen from grace since those old Noss videos were posted (I remember them well). They're either cutting corners with QC, sourcing inferior steel, or have changed to "environmentally friendly" processes which are inferior to tried and true methods. I also think a lot of companies are forced to hire younger workers who were raised to hate work, smoke too much weed, and have no pride in what they do compared to older generations. I think the combination of all of this has made many knife companies and some axes (like Gransfors Bruks for instance) to decline in quality. Noss tested a Gransfors Wildlife Hatchet and found that it was indestructible as well. But I don't think newer Gransfors would hold up to that same abuse because of their phasing out of real oil quenching for doing heat treatments in favor of environmentally friendly but crap electric heat treating, which makes their axes as brittle as knives, which they're not supposed to be.
The vid is fucking awesome probably my favorite on the whole channel. All the jokes land perfectly, and meanwhile I was truly on the edge of my seat to see when the blade would start failing, and then when it did so early; I was was expecting it to make up some ground in the other tests but the fact that it failed every single test after the car so prematurely was really unexpected and hilarious considering how much people who saw the vid were defending it on blade forum. I can't wait for the test of ash 2 and how people will react to 1 in a million defect happening a second time this week.
Thanks for the great video I have the Busse Hell Razor and I noticed the steel on the blade chipped with light use... I would like I would like to see a torture test on the Puma white Hunter,Fox tracker or some budget knives like Ganzo and two sun ....thanks again

He hits a crowbar smacks it with hammers beats it on steel pipes a huge rock and bricks and batons his hell razor 2 through a brick with no breaks and barely even chips. I think you got a bad heat treat. It happens with every knife company. I’ve seen infi steel take some amazing abuse over the years. I’m not a fanboy or anything I have knives from several companies I just know what I’ve seen infi do over the years and Joe X’s video is not indicative of how infi steel usually performs.
Not surprised actually. That particular model was made to be light and fast. They slimed it down and cnc'd the inside of the handle. But still a awesome video as always from king destructo
Personally, if you ever get the opportunity, they have a huge selection and just like most companies, they listened to their customers and they made it thinner and lighter than the other battle mistresses. They have done it with the tgulb also. Which I actually like it better than some of the earlier models. But the forsaken mistress has a blade length of12 inches long and over a quarter inch thick. Hello JoeX, I just want to salute you for your willingness to jump into icy water a couple of times. I fell in icy water once and I really wouldn't want to do it just for the heck of it like you do. You're a tough guy for sure! Tougher than the knives you test! Moreover, I thought that INFI was tougher than that...

Great review, JOE X ! Wow, I thought it would do much better. $597 USD ? Dayum. Their site states it's treated at 58-60 Rockwell, but with all that chipping / breakout, that's crazy.
@@joexJoe can I ask a thing, even if personal: how can you afford so many pricey knives? Are you super rich from family or high paid job? I can’t understand it
@@clintwestwood3539He stated in a earlier video that he has a good job. If you want to take a look it's the videos addressing the deactivation of his channel.
I think the old Noss knife destruction videos were much more real-world relevant. But the fact that even a Battle Mistress can't up to JOE X is pretty interesting!
@@joex What I mean is, I can't picture any real world situation where I'd be swinging the knife like a baseball bat edge-first against a steel post, swinging it edge-first onto a block of concrete, or driving it into a stump by smashing down on it with a huge block of concrete. Batoning it through a steel pipe or batoning through some concrete, on the other hand, seems more plausible (though still a stretch). But if destruction is the goal, you are certainly doing the things that will guarantee it! :-)
This is not a knife review video, this is actually a horror movie specially made for Jerry Busse. Jerry won’t get any sleep in the next two months. And this goes same to me as I'm a NMFBM LE owner. 😢
I have prepared the best pork delicacies for this destructtest. Joe x is the favorite, and how many rounds will the match last is the most interesting thing. Onward to victory Joe x!
FCK ! The beginning was so good... I was sure that it survive longer, but Busse is really Pussy. Great video ! One of best ! 😎 cool crazy test ! Good Job Joe ! As always 🫡👊🏻
I'm shocked! I think Gary, er, i mean Jerry, would be disappointed. Maybe they were all hungover when they made this one! And here i thought the handle would be trash because of the tube rivets, and the blade would be fine. Nope. Blown away at the edge chipping. Looked on bladeforums, Jerry hasn't said shit yet, i hope he does! Useless website, a bunch of seniors acting like children. Anyhoo, loved the video, funny as hell, thanks JoeX😃 Lets drink!
I'm no fanboy (I enjoyed the test) but how are they acting like children on the website? There's a few who obviously got their feelings hurt but Jerry probably hasn't said anything yet because he had a close friend and mentor die just days ago. The video just dropped today, I'd give him some time to respond. I see far more people acting like children in the comments here than on the Busse forum! FAR more! It's honestly shocking how people are talking all this trash about the man when it's uncalled for. Having a knife fail doesn't mean people should attack his character. His warranty will cover the broken knife, I'd say that says something pretty good about the man's character. All that aside, I am very interested to see what Jerry thinks of the test results as this didn't seem any tougher or better than an Esee Junglas. It was surprising given all the hype over its toughness that it had all those breakouts.
I am sure Chinese Dc53 perform the same and I am happy to bought some busses clones. Cost 100 usd, this is in A8 or DC 53 And you have a sheath!!!!! Tks for the vid.
@@joex yeah got a small Chanel where I show some (cause got a big collection), but who knows I may send you one of it one day so we can see what it worth in an abuse point of view!
You will never find it Joe, you'll have to make it 😉 And yet, it was a weird performance. I think it is the longest of your vids library. You could finish an entire Tops line in this time 😂 Great, great fun, Joe!!!👏👍👏🍻👏
Fu** Busse! - Skrama 240 for the win!- Considering the price difference here in Europe the Busse is absolutely nowhere near 10x better.... its more like equal in performance for a much higher price..
So if you're a bushcrafter or just use your Busse for opening amazon boxes then this is mostly good news because with the blade being this brittle it must be hardened to the full 60RC... If you're using the knife for demolition projects then Busse probably isn't the right tool for the job.
Glad you listed to the next knife life destruction video and acualy bought a busse after destroying the A1X in cos much respect bro love the vid those busse's aint fucking cheap
it's a pity. I'm disappointed even though I love this brand and have 2 knives. Now I think that I will not buy a third one. but strangely, I hit 200 on the pipe and 200 on the pry bar. and the knife held up. Maybe I didn't hit hard enough, or maybe the reason was damage to the edge. I have a video of my tests, I made a video for myself, but the forum asked me to publish it. Thanks Joe! your tests are cool!
@@joex on my TH-cam channel, if you can call it that. but I'm not a professional in this and made the video only for myself. but you inspired me to take tests. and I chopped the bolts with other knives, I’ll add a video later...
Damn, I expected it to at least do better than TOPS.. thanks Joe! Guess that's why I keep going back to Work Tuff Gear for my large knives. Just added the WTG Pathfinder to my collection and it's awesome!
Lol, ok, I admit I expected it to at least be tougher than 3v to be the toughest among the high alloy steel tested. Just not anything like what they claim. And another example of expensive stuff not being anywhere near worth it. Instead it looks like they are shilling something in the vicinity of super expensive carbon V. I shouldn't be surprised though. I read their metallurgically incoherent claims describing it. 'very highly stain resistance (at 8% chromium)', 'adding Vanadium = more toughness', 'toughness = edge holding', 'wear resistance =/= edge holding'.
Joe X I see that your program is always evolving, including new frameworks and tests. I wanted to make a suggestion for you to analyze and perhaps include in your testing program. Sharpening the knife in adverse situations. If you want, I can give you support on how to do it. I really admire your work. A big hug.
I think that they have been relying on an absurdly thick edge grind to prevent their blade edges from getting damaged easily, doesn’t help as much with the type of testing JoeX does which is pure impact toughness testing. Simple steels perform the best here.
As far as I remember, the Busse Battle Mistress also broke after the one with the hockey mask was cutting 3mm thick and 4cm wide iron and 3cm diameter pipes by hitting it with a two pound hammer. The only ones that didn't break were the Cold Steel kukri machete and the Scrap Yard Scrapper 6
Oh hell you got a battle mistress 👏 Joe going the extra mile, pouring rum in his eyes to entertain us lol. I still want to see you beat up a FOBOS but I don't want to pay for it
What are you drinking my friend? I always loved Busse because used a modified 52100. Lol! Great with a convex edge, but hell if you want shock resistance use S-7 tool steel for jackhammers! The Swamp Rat line is great in 154CM. Always an interesting company like Dalton Knives.

i was so angry this day!
WTG is king of the large blades!
ARES!!!!
Almost the same as my Ontario seems ok but too expensive for sure. If it was around $70 like the Ontario is yea ok. $350 is crazy.
stay with ONTARIO!
Great review, JOE X ! Wow, I thought it would do much better. $597 USD ? Dayum. Their site states it's treated at 58-60 Rockwell, but with all that chipping / breakout, that's crazy.
yeah, it was so weird!!!!!!! but i tested another one too, TO BE SURE!!!!!
Thanks Joe you did a great job, can’t say I’m disappointed; chopping into a tree in winter is something .👍🏻
thanks bro!!!
Bacardi Cola the drinks of real gentleman offcourse.
exactly!!!!
I think the old Noss knife destruction videos were much more real-world relevant. But the fact that even a Battle Mistress can't up to JOE X is pretty interesting!
real world? in an anvil? seriosly?
i am the clown in "IT" PENNYFCKNWISE"
I have prepared the best pork delicacies for this destructtest. Joe x is the favorite, and how many rounds will the match last is the most interesting thing. Onward to victory Joe x!
cool!
FCK ! The beginning was so good... I was sure that it survive longer, but Busse is really Pussy. Great video ! One of best ! 😎 cool crazy test ! Good Job Joe ! As always 🫡👊🏻
thanks a lot!!!!
Love the vid man. Ik the tears ran today as well as from Jerry
thanks a lot!!!!
it is what it is!
Ok, so I’m pretty sure Joe X is not human. Jumping in slushy water like it’s nothing is pretty crazy.
Ikr
Joe Rogan many Russians and finlanders would disagree
i love it so much!
Woo Hoo .. The video returns
yes!
Anyhoo, loved the video, funny as hell, thanks JoeX😃
Lets drink!

Jerry wrote me already, posted it!
I am sure Chinese Dc53 perform the same and I am happy to bought some busses clones. Cost 100 usd, this is in A8 or DC 53 And you have a sheath!!!!! Tks for the vid.
would be interesting to test those clones!
@@joex yeah got a small Chanel where I show some (cause got a big collection), but who knows I may send you one of it one day so we can see what it worth in an abuse point of view!
Good job JOE X, INFI steel just myths.. It's break just like 1095 Esee Juglas when you push to limit.. Hahahaha
like Magnacunt!!!
@@joex lol 🤣
i have been waiting for this for so long........!!!!!!!
now u got it bro!
Love this shit! Awesome job brotha.
thanks bro!
Joe, you have sealed your position as King 👑 of the internet knife testers.
thanks a lot! i will defend my throne!
JoeX came from a distant galaxy to show us how puny our knives are👽😕….. we will never get the light saber … will we…?😔
how do you know that!
You will never find it Joe, you'll have to make it 😉
And yet, it was a weird performance. I think it is the longest of your vids library. You could finish an entire Tops line in this time 😂
Great, great fun, Joe!!!👏👍👏🍻👏
TRC was long too!!!
@@joex indeed, a few minutes longer 👍💪👏
Joe X I love your content at least I know not to get this knife and I do live with my mama
i thought so, greetings to her!
That was awesome.
thanks a lot!!!!
9:18 "in a gypsy"😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 i think he meant "in a jiffy" holy shit i lol'd
yeah thats what i meant!!!!!
I guess we all handle hangover’s differently. 😂
exactly!
Fu** Busse! - Skrama 240 for the win!- Considering the price difference here in Europe the Busse is absolutely nowhere near 10x better.... its more like equal in performance for a much higher price..
the Scrama is a better knife for sure.
yeah SKRAMAAAAAAAAA
This is what its all about
yeah!
you sound better whit the gas mask, like arnold, but without like survival lilly good video aniway
thanks!
Need you to test Zombie Tools next please.
i know!
Great video Joe!!!!
thanks a lot!!!!
LOL Spitting in a full face mask is brave my friend! Nice work on the BPUSSE
thanks a lot!
So if you're a bushcrafter or just use your Busse for opening amazon boxes then this is mostly good news because with the blade being this brittle it must be hardened to the full 60RC... If you're using the knife for demolition projects then Busse probably isn't the right tool for the job.
well said my friend!
This one’s made for surgery
Glad you listed to the next knife life destruction video and acualy bought a busse after destroying the A1X in cos much respect bro love the vid those busse's aint fucking cheap
glad u like my sheat!
After this i dont trust any steel anymore .. i will never buy expensive knife anymore . Thanks joe x
u are welcome!
I’ve seen INFI bend but not break when I went ham on it. I wonder if the cold mattered or is their quality slipping
it is what it is! it was not that cold!
I thought it was a 100$ knife based on the paint. For 600$ DLC is the minimum. This is a fraud! I see Busse dudes laughing at their buyers.
yeah, crap coating, not even "BUSSE" was good engraved, fk sheat!
“Time for for light batoning”😂
thats what she said!
American Made I suppose.
Save your Money guys !!!
yeah USA!
@@brianc2399 - I guess it is that 5% that was BS then
it's a pity. Thanks Joe! your tests are cool!
cool, where is the vid???
@@joex on my TH-cam channel, if you can call it that. but I'm not a professional in this and made the video only for myself. but you inspired me to take tests. and I chopped the bolts with other knives, I’ll add a video later...

@@Vlad_ConanI've seen your video and it was a pretty cool video! Thanks so much for putting it out there!
Good video.Tnx 👍
Damn, I expected it to at least do better than TOPS.. thanks Joe! Guess that's why I keep going back to Work Tuff Gear for my large knives. Just added the WTG Pathfinder to my collection and it's awesome!
i tested the WTG JX5 today, video will be uploaded soon!!!
'very highly stain resistance (at 8% chromium)', 'adding Vanadium = more toughness', 'toughness = edge holding', 'wear resistance =/= edge holding'.
yeah, but there marketing is awesome!!!
Joe X I see that your program is always evolving, including new frameworks and tests. I wanted to make a suggestion for you to analyze and perhaps include in your testing program. Sharpening the knife in adverse situations. If you want, I can give you support on how to do it. I really admire your work. A big hug.
i can sharp a knife but thats so boring!
What an embarrassment for Busse. Did they switch to Chinese steel and skip sending the memo out? My Busse just dropped in value by 50 percent lol.
sorry for that bro!
Made in CHYNA...
🤣@@joex
I think that they have been relying on an absurdly thick edge grind to prevent their blade edges from getting damaged easily, doesn’t help as much with the type of testing JoeX does which is pure impact toughness testing. Simple steels perform the best here.
Excellente vidéo.
Merci.
thanks a lot!
As far as I remember, the Busse Battle Mistress also broke after the one with the hockey mask was cutting 3mm thick and 4cm wide iron and 3cm diameter pipes by hitting it with a two pound hammer. The only ones that didn't break were the Cold Steel kukri machete and the Scrap Yard Scrapper 6
ok thanks for the info! it was NOSS
I’m buying another cold steel black bear Bowie !
good idea!
Oh hell you got a battle mistress 👏 Joe going the extra mile, pouring rum in his eyes to entertain us lol. I still want to see you beat up a FOBOS but I don't want to pay for it
i am still on the beginning my friend!
I heard a great reeeeing in the sky last night as fanboy hearts shattered against the el brico of cold reality.
i feel sorry for the fanboys NOT
Busse Knives break just like any other knives. They are not superior or ahead in performance by any means. JoeX keep up the good work!
made to be broken!
I like the look of the blade shape. That sumbitch didn’t last long though 🇦🇹 🇳🇿
It's an oversized esee 6.with less quality
nah, sudden death mtfucks!
ESEE 6 is betta!
Never let anyone get you to drink alcohol.
i am not anyone?
What are you drinking my friend? I always loved Busse because used a modified 52100. Lol! Great with a convex edge, but hell if you want shock resistance use S-7 tool steel for jackhammers! The Swamp Rat line is great in 154CM. Always an interesting company like Dalton Knives.
