I honestly cant believe some of the negativity given by viewers. Why bother watching and then slagging off either the guy showing off his collection or some of the knives or the sheaths or just anything to just slag off. Anybody who really appreciates knives should be thinking "Wow what a fabulous collection," The guy is showing and explaining some knives that collectors would like to buy but only seen on websites. By the way hes not claiming hes some sort of killing machine. Hes a collector who appreciates Quality. I suspect there are some very jealous people watching this by some comments . This guy hasn't boasted or tried to show off in anyway.
I'm a big admirer of The Bowie. I don't own many but I'm grateful for what I have. I also enjoy the artistry of leather sheaths. I made my own for my Bowie's.
I've just realised last year that i am an absoloute knife junkie and like you i see good and beauty in every knife. Thanks for continuing to fill up my wishlist!
Amazing collection. You have 20k in Bowies. That BPS knife, can you find the exact model. I want one exactly and assume I’ll have to go on eBay to find one. The current BPS knives aren’t offering one like that. Finger grip, polished and grind. All are now flat grind CNC cut stuff
Really, REALLY ENJOYED your video! I just laid back went into a "knife world saga" getting lost in my own daydream of oh how nice is that one and OH THAT ONE'S EXCELLENT AND... I have the that one and so on!!! Truly in another world, realizing and enjoying the fact of why I love this hobby so much!!! I'll definitely be coming back here from time to time Bob... Thank you!
Wow man, that's one awesome collection, every time I think yeah that's my favorite you pull out another one and then I'm not so sure,I guess that's how your collection grew thanks for showing us all those beautiful knives, fantastic atvb Dave
I really enjoyed watching your amazing big knife collection , my favorite of them all are the Bowie with the bend s guard and bone handle from the biker 😂 and I got very impressed by the Cold steel Rondel dagger 😍👍 what a deadly weapon ( cruel and inhumane ) 😍❤️💯
I admit I don't 'get' this knife collect 'thing' but still I *respect* it and give you *credit* for the knowledge of knives you clearly possess, its scope and depth, a side effect experienced when pursuing any long standing interest with persistence no matter its nature, simple/complex, nevertheless you become an *AUTHORITY* an honest authentic primary source.
What an amazing collection! So many of my 'Grail' knives there! My last was the 1917 'Frontier' and like you I find it beautiful (so much so I really want the matching Cutlass) My next will be the Von Tempsky which if it holds as good as it looks will be worth every penny! Strangely a big favourite of my collection is also one of the cheapest! It's the 'Uncle Henry' from Schrade. It is such an easy to carry, useful and capable Knife, especially given the price. Bowie Knives are so rewarding to collect !
Being german, Brittas boyfriend, some notes. A) The german made Sow Catcher is a for international marked translated Saufänger. So Sau ( or Schwein) must not been translated. Wlid boar is in german Wildschwein, Wildsau is dated, or southern dialect. Abfangen or Fangstoß means to finish off or giving final stab to a wounded annimal. In Germany ( perhaps also Austria and Switzerland) a piece of game, which is not dead at once by projectile ( bow or crossbows are forbidden!), must be searched and is usually shot by final shot ( Fangschuß ) with pistol. But using a knife for final stab is still allowed, and sometimes more usefull. For example next to settlements, to not scare mostly anti gun german citizens. For a long time socalled Nicker ( also until 1960s a common EDC knife in southern part of german language are, was used for small game, up to Reh ( roe?), a very long knife called Hirschfänger ( deer catcher) was up to interwar periode carried both by private hunters and Forrest officials. After wwll german hunters no more want to look warriorlike, so long knifes ( both Hirschfänger and Waidblatt - a widebladed knife, a mix of billhook and cleaver) nearly came out of use. But rising number of wild boar became a problem in last 20 to 25 Years, brought a comeback of long knifes, especially the widebladed dagger called Saufänger. Even to small degree the Saufeder ( boarspear ) has a small Comeback. B) The Sax ( seax) IS a type of long knife/ short sword, was used by all germannic tribes, related both to Großes Messer and Bowie. In my Homeregion you can see dozens over dozens of such blades, found in warrior graves up to about 600. German seaxes have not this english broken angle stiyle. Most ones have size and width of a billhook, some like a larger kitchen knife, few nearly as long as Spatha swords ( but single edged). I hope, my comment helps.
Amazing! I wasn't gonna watch the whole thing- by the time I got to the end, I subscribed and started lookin around for more of your vids.. Some excellent stuff, thanks for sharing your collection! My wife thinks that I have a lot of knives, lol... ⚔
11:58 AWESOME I just tried that with my knife and I love it !!! I never thought about putting my thumb through the Lanyard Loop like, it's a great idea.
Does anyone know where similar hardware (belt stud) @10:35 can be found?? I've made a couple sheaths for my Trail Master, but the only suitable hardware I've ever seen are 'Sam Browns'. I'm disappointed that all my searches turn up nothing like the proper belt studs. ☹
On your Tops Prather Bowie, "on how cool if the false edge was sharp too," if you purchase knives on Etsy, a lot of knife makers, not all, but a lot of them will sharpen the false edge for you if you request it (even though, some states consider that to be a "dagger" and not legal.) But, I have had good luck.
Enjoying your video about the noise. The one you said you bought in 2006 or 7? It's my favorite one. Even had a little crack in the handle. I like it the best
Absolutely you have the most knives that I dream to have. I only have the srk though. I enjoyed your video. I maybe have like 20 knives collection now. 👍
What a fabulous collection! I particularly like those well-used Trailmaster and CS Tanto. I completely agree with your aside on 'dueling knives'. I'm an old martial artist that often can't afford blades simply because they're made with super-steels. It's so unnecessary for most fighting knives. Cheers. ☘
You have a very fine and interesting collection. Congratulations. I'd like to encourage you to obtain a Bill Bagwell Bowie though now that he is gone it is unlikely you will find one for sale. The Ontario reproductions of Bagwell's Bowies are very well done and you might find these on the secondary market.
I enjoyed seeing your collection, I like the frontiersman, skinners knife you used for hedge cutting and digging out roots, reminds me the classic butchers knife. You have no excuse for having odd socks, I think we all spread our knives about the house, as when they are collected together, they make a pile. How can we justify buying yet another knife to add to our pile?.
You can get that scratch out of the cold steel tanto using scotchbrite pads try the green first if that dont work try the red one but only whip away in one direction and the scratch will disappear.
Nice to see I’m not only one crazy knife guy 😂😂😂 I’m in this obsession from my early childhood 😂 got my first knife from my grandpa when I was 5 years old. Now I’m 43. Luckily I get rid of most of my knives and than collect them back bunch of. After years again making selection and getting rid of most and repeat story again 😂🤣 Anyway I have enjoyed the video 100% so thx for your time and presentation

So many hard lines on that grind with the work tuff
Any recommendations for a leather sheath maker?
واقعا بی نظیر خیلی لذت بردم مرسی❤❤❤
With the Bowie's grip blade up with index finger over backside brass for an amazing feel.

I thought I had a cool knife addiction?! Nope. I feel better now. Great knife show
Wish I'd bought the trail master when I had the chance. I did get the master hunter and the red river American made carbon v.
Part 8 in my recommendations. Time to go find part 1 and point at anything I own.
Yeah.. you might want to ask someone about that bone handle from that pawn shop biker guy story, nice Natchez bowie. love the cold steel Chaos Kukri,

Kyzliar Bastardo (Sleipner Steel) is an awesome Bowie. The Kyzliar Survival X in D2 is also awesome.
Did I miss the fallkniven modern bowie? ❤
