It took less than a week between application and move in date. I was curious why the last tenant moved out. I soon found out that the neighbor’s rat like dog doesn’t stop barking. It barks at every little noise. People heading down the wood stairs? Barking. Me closing a drawer in my kitchen? Barking. Someone walking down the hall from the laundry room? Barking. The main door opening and closing? You guessed it. Barking. I hate it. I hate it so much.
I have had 3 dogs in my lifetime. Different breeds, different ages, different background history, mostly unwanted. Even different continents. None of them barked... because they were content. It's the owners and their treatment of the pets.
Nothing can be done over a barking dog, for a complaint you have to record their barking from your property for 15 minutes then submit it and complain and to be honest police don't care the barking dog phone voicemail never returns a call or email and basically you wasted all your time, to bad we have neighbors who are unfit to have animals !
Tell me about it! I had to call 4-5 am on a Saturday. Left a message with after hours By law. I called again today, only to be told to call back on Monday to file a complaint. Police won't do anything. Townhouse management sent (I hope) a letter. It got worse. They are mentally ill, and, they use their 2 dogs as a weapon to disturb the peace. 3 full grown adult in that household and it doesn't bother one of them that their dogs are frantically barking? I have rescued a dog recently, and, had a big dog for 13 yrs. Neither barked like that.
I would go to the court house and file a lawsuit. My neighbors dogs are getting worse and if they can't take responsibility of their own animals then I'll do it for them.

I tried talking to my neighbor but he was aggressive, I then went to my local council but they done nothing. In the end someone killed it but tbh, everyone was just happy the barking stopped.
All of this can be avoided if pet OCD owners would stop being selfish and allowing their mutts to bark endlessly and for no reason, most of the incessant barking dogs I have dealt with are owned by women who, you cannot go to the door and talk to cause they are rude and call their dogs their "children" a massive mental disorder today among women in the USA in my view, dog barking is staccato and annoying as hell, rude and inconsiderate, I did not pay taxes on my home to listen to some women's out of control yapper, the news' suggestion here to hire an attorney, mediators to reach compromise further enables bad dog owners to get away with this crap, hiring legal costs us, this should cost the dog owner, cannot stop their own dogs barking? Put them down, period, dogs that bark at nothing need to be taken out, there is a difference between a dog barking at a real threat versus a leaf flutter...seriously, only in First world countries do we have such a lame issue like this with selfish people who again, mostly women, put dogs above people...sick sick sick!!!

There are a few around us here in Barbados. We spoke to one owner who has 4 tied up all day and one in a hutch with the door closed who from about 2-3pm barks non stop it's incredible I didn't know dogs barked like this until I came here. When we spoke to him about it he said they are working dogs.. 🥴😳🙆🏽🤷🏽♀ this is the majority of the Bajans attitude here the dogs are for security even in God forgive me in rundown shacks.. 😵💫
I share your frustration, but the problem of people leaving loud and/or aggressive dogs to cause an unending ruckus outside is actually a feature of third world countries, not just developed ones with women who treat dogs as infallible children.
I treat my cat as my baby. Which is why she is not allowed to meow loudly at all. Don't blame female pet owners who are responsible. This comment is very sexist. Blame the true issue: narcissism. None of that garbage in me. Definitely in the upstairs neighbors though.
Shock collars aren't even that bad and it also teachs a dog to stop barking long term. Eventually you can just take the collar off and they still won't bark because they don't realize the collar is what was shocking them.
They're nasty and narcissists. They use the barking dogs to do their bid for anti social behaviour. They are also baiting you into action. I am taking the high road and will keep calling By law until it stops. And, from experience, karma will make it stop, one way or another. Just give it time.
Unbelievable; our neighbors, who I like to refer as The Manson Family, have already been fined for the 5+ dogs incessant barking; especially waking us up on days off as early as 6:00 am. Here’s the kicker, the day of the court hearing, no sooner did they get home from court, they were so disgruntled about losing, the wife was outside screaming over at us with dogs in tow, saying “start recording” and retaliation began. Now, they purposely try to make the dogs bark, but are remaining within the time limit so as not to be fined again. They will wake up on a Sunday morning, let dogs out and encourage barking long enough to wake us up. Just a little context about this family; the house is full of chaos and toxicity. She can’t even control these dogs and she’s trying to breed them. She’s not having the males neutered which we all know can be taxing. When she comes out to get the dogs to come in she’s literally screaming, and the dog is not listening they cannot control or establish the alpha with them. The husband admitted in court that he loves his dogs and the barking is just white noise to him, not much of a narcissist statement that is! Just this morning had to call the officers again because, dogs were barking and we are recording, but the officers tell us that the dogs aren’t barking long enough and my thing is if they’re barking long enough to destroy someone’s peace or wake them up early in the morning that should be enough. I always say a happy dog is compliant with its owner; these dogs are being abused, I’ve witnessed it first hand. One of them mysteriously disappeared and she told me that the dog left and joined a pack of coyotes on their other property out of state. It was at that point, I distanced myself. I witnessed her slap this dog hard in the face a few times…next up Chief of police, dog warden and animal control because the police are complacent about it at this point.

Going through this now for two years. New neighbors tried to take part of our property, I stopped them, fenced them out. They bought a german shepherd as part of their plan to intimidate me out of entering that portion of my property they wanted. It didnt work. They bought the dog then trained it to orient on my property and then installed invisible fence just inside their side of the property line and trained their dog to run to the line and bark and growl at me like an attack dog whenever I am outside on that half of my 3 acre lot. Due to terrain and vegetation, and the cost of cameras and inability to extend wifi 100 feet way from the house, I am struggling to get quality video of this happening. The woman usually comes out after several minutes but even then doesnt stop the dog. At first she would yell at me that I am lucky she ha an invisible fence. But then I found evidence of their trespassing on our land and told them to remove it and they didnt so I did. That scared the husband a bit that they might lose their ability to make a claim on our land so she changed her approach to being passive aggressive. She comes out and waves and smiles and says in baby talk, "what's the matter baby??" to her dog. Daily event. No noise ordinance here. The other neighbors are immune to it because this is oriented at me and I feel the full brunt of this while the dog leaves the other adjacent neighbor alone. I bought one of those ultra sonic devices to carry with me but they look out their window at me and will likely call the cops on me for using it. Or come out screaming at me and make me look like the aggressor. I bought a cheap body cam to video all my visits outside but I now have 2 GB of video that dont quite capture the essence of the intimidation that goes on. I'm convinced that the true neighborhood psychopaths we see on the news are not the people with the fences and trespassing signs and are accused of being harassers but the quiet, sly ones with the money and clever, devious approach to targeting and harassing someone over something that no one else can see. The best way to fight it is asymmetrically. Get an ultrasonic device (not sure if they work but that is my next step). and ignore the dog while going about your life. If it's territorial like my situation then go to the edge of your property and prune the bushes while listening to ebooks on your headset. Eventually, someone else will call the cops on yuor neighbor's dog. Or they might become irritated at their own behavior. They likely ownt give up but they might scale back a bit.

Animal Control needs to do their jobs in the state of Florida. I have a large nuisance barking dog problem next door. The neighbor on their other side, and I have called Animal Control repeatedly. The people said they were getting rid of the dogs which is a lie because it's been a month and they are still there. I don't have the money to hire an attorney. I have counted 9 county and city ordinances they are violating, and still no help from Animal Control. Are there any tv stations that I can get help from in Lake County?? What are Animal Control sheriffs getting paid when they do nothing?

You must have never faced this problem! Yes, that’s first - you talk nicely to the idiot dog owners. They always say it’s not their dog barking, everyone else’s is barking. He doesn’t bark that much. I will try to keep him quieter. Your dog barks too. (Even when you don’t have a dog). He only barks at deer and squirrels. You are teasing him. Going out in your yard stimulates him. I’ll try to keep him in more. Then, as soon as you leave, the barking starts up bad as ever.

It is so very easy to control a neighbours barking dog. I have had many successes with the following method. Buy a large bag of doggie biscuits, of the smallest size biscuits. Throw handfuls of the smaill diggie biscuits all over the neighbours yard The dog will hunt the biscuits by scent and it cannot bark while hunting or eating. When it has eaten all the biscuits you threw, then throw more. Eventually the dog will become your friend. If your neighbour complains about the biscuits simply deny that it was you and suggest if must be someone else the dogs barking annoyed.
@@surge534work on training your dog. It’s a big responsibility just like having a kid or family. If you’re not ready/ able or willing to do so then find it a new home. 99% of these comments issues would be fixed with new homes or proper training.
Maybe don’t be a disgusting dog owner? People need to be responsible pet owners and make sure they train their dogs appropriately… If it’s barking enough to be disruptive then something is either wrong or it hasn’t been trained properly. Either way, the owner is the one in the position to do something about it.

My new neighbors in the back have three German shepherds that never stop barking. I can't work during the day, and they will bark at night as well. Screw your dogs. What do they do all day? Bark, sleep, eat, p*ss, and sh*t.

Not most of the time.. they are bored if other owners happen to be taking their dogs for a walk which is many at all one or two they do start barking probably asking please take me too. As they are tied and caged up 24hrs 7 days a week.

This is NOT true. I am currently having this issue. The new neighbors dog will not stop barking. Notable there is nothing instigating the dog. This is a quiet neighborhood. I've lived here for 15yrs. It's purely the dog. Which likely needs to be on a type of medication
That's not a beneficial solution. Barking is super irritating when I'm trying to enjoy my home or garden and those dogs rush the fence at me and bark until I leave. So , when my neighbors ignore me and act like this is a foreign concept that they are too ignorant to understand. Is your thought thar I should then just live with it?

Animal Control needs to do their jobs in the state of Florida. I have a large nuisance barking dog problem next door. The neighbor on their other side, and I have called Animal Control repeatedly. The people said they were getting rid of the dogs which is a lie because it's been a month and they are still there. I don't have the money to hire an attorney. I have counted 9 county and city ordinances they are violating, and still no help from Animal Control. Are there any tv stations that I can get help from in Lake County?? What are Animal Control sheriffs getting paid when they do nothing?

Using an airhorn works. Also, throwing treats works to stop barking dogs.

I just went to my neighbors house to tell them to keep their dogs quiet this is how it went.
Me: "Is that not driving you crazy?"
Neighbor: "Yeah it is and if you'd leave they would stop"
Me: "The reason I came over here is because they're barking"
Neighbor: "Yeah"
Me: "Thank you"
Neighbor: *Stairs at me malevolently telling me it's my fault*
Me: "Thank you"
And I just left.
They brought their dogs inside so its been quiet but wait until they let their dogs out again I'm sure it will start back up.

It is so very easy to control a neighbours barking dog. I have had many successes with the following method.
Buy a large bag of doggie biscuits, of the smallest size biscuits.
Throw handfuls of the smaill diggie biscuits all over the neighbours yard
The dog will hunt the biscuits by scent and it cannot bark while hunting or eating.
When it has eaten all the biscuits you threw, then throw more.
Eventually the dog will become your friend.
If your neighbour complains about the biscuits simply deny that it was you and suggest if must be someone else the dogs barking annoyed.

@@surge534work on training your dog. It’s a big responsibility just like having a kid or family. If you’re not ready/ able or willing to do so then find it a new home. 99% of these comments issues would be fixed with new homes or proper training.

This is getting to be a disgusting world to live in while owning a dog.
Maybe don’t be a disgusting dog owner? People need to be responsible pet owners and make sure they train their dogs appropriately… If it’s barking enough to be disruptive then something is either wrong or it hasn’t been trained properly. Either way, the owner is the one in the position to do something about it.
What's disgusting about neighbors wanting to live their lives in peace? Dog barking is one of the most annoying obnoxious sounds. And dogs are also one of the animals that can he easily trained, so train them to stop or pay the consequences

My new neighbors in the back have three German shepherds that never stop barking. I can't work during the day, and they will bark at night as well. Screw your dogs. What do they do all day? Bark, sleep, eat, p*ss, and sh*t.

Not most of the time.. they are bored if other owners happen to be taking their dogs for a walk which is many at all one or two they do start barking probably asking please take me too. As they are tied and caged up 24hrs 7 days a week.

This is NOT true. I am currently having this issue. The new neighbors dog will not stop barking. Notable there is nothing instigating the dog. This is a quiet neighborhood. I've lived here for 15yrs. It's purely the dog. Which likely needs to be on a type of medication
