Huge WBC fan since day 1 i love the expansion of the qualifiers I also think promotion and advertizing and marketing needs to improve for the wbc and wbc qualifiers
It will be tough, but I hope the Philippines qualifies for the WBC. Revival of Baseball is very much needed, the only thing that makes the sport survive despite the meager funding, are the few passionate players and coaches. The qualification will definitely help repopularize the sport and hopefully bring back the glory it had in the country during the 50s, 60s, and the 70s
Yes, Philippines national team has been playing in Asian Cups but still low viewership🥲. When our boxer Manny Pacquiao has a boxing match everyone watches it.
@@reybalduinoivdejerusalen2391 Gracias hermano, hopefully we establish a league and teams again. As of now baseball players are barely scraping by in the Philippines but the potential and talent is there. We just need a good and strong baseball program.
Historically attendance has always been low when Panama plays, even their highest attendance was just below half capacity. WBSC rankings don't mean squat. I also favor expanding the qualifiers but maybe for after the next WBC. And I seriously think there needs to be friendly exhibition games like in soccer.
Yes. If Curaçao is going to compete as an independent country then the Netherlands team is going to reduce its level quite a bit, it will no longer be like that team that beat the Dominican Republic and went to the next round in WBC
Oh, I thought Mainland China / People's Republic of China had minimal interest in Baseball. Also, they have lost every single game in every World Baseball Classic they have participated. They even lost to the Czech Republic in the 2023 WBC.
@@Hieronymous-gm3vzThey beat Taiwan at the 2009 WBC and Brazil at the 2013 WBC. They attracted solid crowds at the Asian Games last year: th-cam.com/video/mlGjdKGIBuM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VPa2GR4xQmrX8WC5
That's a surprise to me as well. Will Aruba and Bonaire be sending players as members of the Dutch team? Will there be enough talent in the Hoofdeklasse to round out a competitive national team?
We are still hearing the MLB name arising as a stumbing block in this event which is one they devised originally. Their lack of support to global events such as the Baseball World Cup (1938) and the Intercontinental Cup (1973) for over a half century prior to the installation of the WBC was part of the reasoning we used to see sub standard events.
You forgot to mention Bo Bichette for Brazil, he sent a bunch of bats for the Brazilian team to say sorry for not being there with them. He also played before with Brazil
Great video on the WBC Quallfiers. You explained in depth the new teams in quallfiers and all the teams really well. But I think your pool format is incorrect. We will find out later this year. However, when they do announce the pool format and teams in pools, will you make another video about that and thoughts on who you seeing making it out of each pool? Thanks. Love your international baseball videos. Also make videos of the European Baseball Championships Qualifiers too.
I just wish they would have 1 host for the WBC like the WC. I don’t care about fan travel. It’s all about growing the game. Venezuela has a 40,000 seat stadium. Should host the final. I would have the WBC all in Venezuela. Then the next one in Australia. Forces these countries to build the infrastructure for it too like they do with the world cups and Olympics. That would create coverage and build up for it in the host nation. Having it in Venezuela would be great for the Latin countries and the game tapping into the South American scene like the video mentioned. The Asian fans always travel well, I want to see Korea and Japan play Mexico or the USA in group play all in Venezuela. I am full aware of logistical issues but I don’t care keep this to a pure international contest and prioritize the growth not just appeasing spring training for MLB.

As a Mexican fan, I'd like to see a Filipino team playing the Caribbean Series as guest, seriously ¡¡SALUDOS, HERMANO FILIPINO!! 🇵🇭🇲🇽👋

We Filipinos need to cross-train with our Latino bros, especially with Cuba.

Future video idea how the Curaçao team competing on its own effects the Netherlands national team moving forward

If the Netherlands loses its islands in the Caribbean I see them relegating in the next tournament
Naw, they're actually the 2nd best country in Europe behind Italy, they'll be fine

great job! I saw a baseball game at the "old" stadium in Taiwan back in April 1994
I'm still crying over the US loss in the final to Japan
Why did that picture of the group of MLB Players in their WBC uniforms have Stroman in a Puerto Rico uniform? He played for the USA. Right?
Must be an old picture. He played for PR in 2017
Stroman won the tournament with USA in 2017 and in 2023 played for PR
Oops! I got it backwards. You’re right
What about ep sensing the actually main WBC tournament
Does who does Xander Bogarts play then?
Yes, it is Taiwan and China is a poor sport politically for not playing there.
