Baseball is making a comeback!
Talk about copa América del béisbol
Pakistan like: USA beat us in cricket so let's get good at their game.
No surprise there! Cricket and Baseball have similar rules.
True, but then they smashed India 12-0 who are absolute gods at Cricket
Cricket isn't popular in saudi arabia or uae
@ Thanks for the information.
@ But it is in India and Pakistan.
There have been a couple Saudi expat teams that have made it to the LLWS
What yt channel were the games on?
Baseball united youtube channel
Not all, but the majority of the games were streamed - www.youtube.com/@baseballunited
Hey man timing of this event was too good, as pakistan and india drama started in cricket so people especially in pakistan are angry with Indian board😅😅😅
Cricket teams morphing into baseball
I am also looking forward to seeing Cheongna Dome Baseball Stadium in Korea that is going to be completed in 2027!! One of Korean biggest retailers SSG took over the team a few years ago so the dome will be connected to shopping centers. I hope to visit the opening game in Cheongna Dome Baseball Stadium in 2028 spring:)
No Audio?
No issues. Problem was on my end
Las Vegas is getting the A's in a couple of years and Major League Baseball needs to be back in Montreal, they have a great baseball history and I believe that Jackie Robinson played in Montreal for a short time before he made his debut in Major League Baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers
Favorites 1japan 2 Korea 3 Cuba 4 dr 5 Taiwan 6 Australia
Don't know who the informant was but at the moment the Kingdom of the Netherlands team is still in tact.
One thing to note is that there is still a farm system in soccer in the form of loans Big teams will loan their players out to teams in different countries or lower divisions to get them playing time
I woudlnt call Mannami with those big names as a power hitter he def has one of the best arms in the league tho But yeah it sucks not seeing studs you mentioned and Hosokawa, Imamiya best SS, Mori best Catcher, Chikamoto and Yanagita who havnt been called up for recent international competetions. The roster looking more like Japan C team but yeah as usual if their pitching holds up theyll be the favourite to win along side Cuba.
Ruei-Yang Gu Lin and Wen-Hui Pan are not participating for Taiwan. It doesn’t change my prediction for them. Just makes it even less likely they’ll pull off an upset
Let’s go DR 🇩🇴
3:07 Why don't they have a picture of Masayuki Kuwahara?
Wen-Hui Pan also withdrew due to Tommy John surgery.
My prediction is Japan and Cuba
Ruei Yang Gu Lin withdrew from the event, I am a spectator from Taiwan
I didn’t hear about that. When did he withdraw?
@@baseballinternational174 CPBL announced on 10/26. Out: Ruei-Yang Gu Lin, Hao-Chun Chiu, Wen-Hui Pan. In: Song-En Tseng, En-Sih Huang, Chun-Lin Kuo.
@@baseballinternational174 He suffered from injuries during the Taiwan series and was pulled from game 1 after only pitching 3 innings. That was also his last appearing in the Taiwan series, a major reason that the Lions lost the series.
So disappointed with Dominican roster. They do not have support from lidom and until they pause the season to allow players to participate we will never send a good team
Could you make a video at some point about the Women's professional baseball league?
I will when there’s more information about it
@@baseballinternational174 Cool!
There are realistically only 8 countries that could even dream about winning a legit world title in baseball with best players playing (Cuba (with MLB), US, Japan, DR, Venezuela, PR, South Korea, and Mexico). After that you have solid teams like Australia and the Netherlands and then there is a massive drop off. Italy, Israel, and Great Britain WBC rosters are almost all American (I don’t like this and it really doesn’t grow the game in those countries doing this; they should go homegrown like Czechia) and honestly should be dropped imo (Italy actually has enough participation to be homegrown and they should do that). Outside of that, it’s cool to see Czechia where there is an actually league but other than Czechia, Netherlands, Germany, and Italy, quality baseball just isn’t there. You realistically can’t even put together a true quality tournament with more than 12 teams. Keep it at 12
can you make baseball united vid
Coming soon
I have been waiting for these previews from you ! Sheesh
I should've swapped Houston with LA and hosting the final in LA too. This is mainly an Asia vs America (the continent) tournament, so LA is more neutral whilst still being in the wealthy USA.
Ansío que México haga lo mejor que pueda como la última vez.
Mexico es favorito para avanzar, junto con Estados Unidos.
WBC is good enough. What is the point of having two similar events?
Softball and Baseball are different sports.
The Premier12 gives prospects a chance to shine.
Why not?
No Javy Guerra on panama damn
プールBも待ってます!
Rooting for PR, but predicting Mexico, USA
As of last year, the LBPRC made a new YT channel to stream all games through TH-cam (for some reason they have not update the hyperlink on their website) but here!
www.youtube.com/@LBPRC21/streams The LBPRC starts on Nov 7 featuring the Champs from last year Los Criollos de Caguas vs the runner ups in Gigantes de Carolina.
It dying because of the pitch clock and extra innings runner. Most people I know who stopped watching cite these 2 rules over anything. The fans hate these rules and no amount of fake polling by the media can prove otherwise.
Great video. Could you do a video on baseball in Poland?
I’ll try to do that this offseason
Will you be making a new one of these for 2024? There's the LPB Columbian baseball starting today. Right now actually
Won’t be necessary. Most of the information here is still relevant. Need to do one next spring for the summer leagues though
Move the rays to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
The countries that can afford to send junior national teams to play in sanctioned events earn points for the top men’s teams. So most countries are at a disadvantage due to domestic wealth. Yet there are countries that rank in the top 15 but their junior teams under perform and some countries outside the top 18 finish higher than these countries. So the rankings is all about 💵💵💵. Countries in the top 30 should earn points on a scale based on age represented eg U23s, U21s, U18s, U15s, U12s. The less developed nations earn more points if they are outside a ranking number. Also the higher age the more points earned this stop developed wealthy nations sending teams to tournaments to earn points just for the men’s teams like this. There should a Group 1 and a Group 2 tournament and the winner of 2 takes a spot in group one after the first round.
MLB would be insane not to halt the season for the Olympics in LA. It's a chance to do a "Super All Star Week" with a potential Judge vs Ohtani match up in the Gold Medal game. Why not? Especially if KBO and NPB follow suit, it could be a huge event for the sport.
Will you explain this year's Caribbean Baseball Cup?
Have you ever been to Taiwan? I saw Yang, Yao-Hsun’s T-shirt
I actually hard disagree with the worry about over-saturation. Soccer has a lot of advantages over baseball when it comes to international play, but the biggest one for me is that it never really stops. There is a continuum of national team play throughout a World Cup cycle. Having the WBC, followed by the Premier 16, Olympics, and WBC again is exactly what international baseball needs
Agree with you 💯
Having continuous international play is fine but having 3 tournaments that are not much different from each other is a bit too much. It’s like having the World Cup almost every year
@@baseballinternational174except as of now MLB players on 40man rosters are only allowed to participate in WBC, which makes it the most prestigious. Other tournaments are still great in order to spread the game
@@baseballinternational174 Actually soccer has a lot of international tournaments, the Euro and Copa America are played every 4 years in between world cups, so is the Olympic soccer tournament. So countries get to play a major tournament every 2 years. And in the years without a major tournament, there are qualifiers to those tournaments which are just as exciting. And qualifiers are played throughout the whole year, 1 week every month or 2 (local leagues are stopped). Not like baseball which usually does a 2 week qualifier and that’s it. Nobody complains about saturation in soccer.
Yes I know soccer has a lot of tournaments. Each one with different age groups or different parts of the world. Baseball has that too. And there are qualifiers for the WBC,Olympics and soon for the Premier12 too. But this is different. Olympic baseball and the Premier12 are exactly the same - men’s senior national teams, all countries of the world can qualify for, all the best players outside of MLB. If they decide to allow MLB players for those 2 tournaments then there will be 3 tournaments that are no different from each other
Will the WBC expand or have regional qualifiers in the future
i'm still not watching, fuck the dodgers and fuck the yankees
This Series has to take on some added significance with the passing of Fernendo Valensuela recently. He was instrumental in Dodgers' performances in the last time the teams played off in 1981. We hope he is given due recognition at the first home game of this Series.
Well I definitely agree with you but this will really help grow the game the two biggest cities most famous franchises. I know it's not exactly a Cinderella story did the Yankees have been there in 15 years much less one and that's a long time for them considering they won 41 pennants in 27 World Series. Are the Dodgers going to prove they can win WS after dominating in the regular season and a lot of the playoffs off and on for the last two decades. Yes they wanted $20 but I'm not going to say that doesn't count but it's a hollow victory kind of because of the short eason
Irrelevant of how much money they have spent and that they are from the biggest markets. They are both old clubs with storied history. I’m a Dodgers fan for life, so let’s get that out of the way. I always wish for east coast - west coast WS. It’s the history, the match ups, ownerships, the GMs, the all stars and future HOFs between these clubs. It’s good for MLB like you said, it’s good for TV, it’s good for Merch, it’s good global marketing. There have been fairytale World Series wins but baseball needs these 2 teams. Like you said their caps are the most worn worldwide ( apologies to the Americans) there are many other countries in the world that exist besides Mexico and Canada so don’t be shocked.
Agree...it's very nit-picky to criticise this Series given it has been all that time since they met. It's not as though they are playing every other year like some global Leagues do. Sports fans from the most populous nation on the planet, India, are perhaps the most fanatical ever about their cricket but go to their games and see how many wear MLB caps, even though they are mostly a fashion statement for what they see on TV. p.s. I'm an oldie in Australia and teasure my 1954 NY Giants or Brooklyn Dodgers caps.
@@flamingfrancis I’m from Sydney 👍 and have bled blue since 1982. I became a fan after watching the 81s series on channel 9 and its was my first official juniors season. Small world aye.
Maybe too much Cinderella story was a problem of itself too. There are just so many rare occasion of this WS that make it special. One of the stat I saw was the HR lead of each league in WS has to go back to the 50s, probably not something we can see very often.
This is the World Series that Rob Manfred and all the casuals wanted. For the rest of us it's pretty cringe.
The Dodgers were in the World Series in 2020
Yeah someone pointed that out already. I meant to say the last normal year the Dodgers were in it. Ratings were low in 2020 for a different reason
