We just got our Christmas tree, and before watching this video I said to myself, "Christmas is all about making things look as gaudy as possible and not giving a shit." Glad to see you agree.
YES ! My dear Mother would decorate the house in tacky and gaudy fashion, which wasn't her thing except at Christmas. Oh, she had some classic decorations, anyone would like, but she just made sure it LOOKED like a festive occasion ! It was very enjoyable, especially as a child ( I was born 1951). So lovely for the thought and love that went into it.

Artistic, crafts, small suppliers, etc., are my favorite gift type. You can find really, truly special items and the person gifted is getting something that is truly made with love and creativity. I like Museum shops as well. In 2009 I was in London ) ( my dream trip w/sister !) and used the Buckingham Palace museum next to the mews section , to find special gifts for family. BTW: saw actress Joanna Lumley there YAY. The boxes these gifts came in were of interest to me, I love BOXES of all sorts. Your gift recommendations were so well chosen ! I do not dress very fancy, and I still adored them as the exquisite items they were - the smaller "fascinator" was a great surprise, I thought they only came in size HUMONGUS ! Anyone liking bows should consider as it's not much bigger than most bows and just fancier. Thanks, I shall now go and check links out ! Love your videos on all subjects !! I have been know to haul things out of rubbish tips because they are worth saving and need very little work to get them functioning again. It's sad we live in a throw away society and I applaud you for the work you are doing. Its very inspiring. You promote art and beauty.

On the topic of wearable art, Jessica --> By Estonian designers: tallinndolls.com/designers/collections?designer=366&id=77 It's a dress or blouse with a buttoned panel where you can wear different art pieces. Looks like right now they have very few classical pieces available (I spied Utamaro), in previous collections they had more international pieces. I think they come out with new ones regularly, so people can expand their collections.
I got a new pink cat sweater with sparkles and Meowy Christmas. Somebody told me that was Gay but I think its just cute!

My family has a schedule for gift giving! one set price-point and people generally tell you what they want because most in my family have what they need so that way they get what they want! :) But at my grandmothers place(maternal side) we play the gift giving game with dice, So I got some fun things :) Then again we have two children in the paternal side now from my cousin who got a step daughter and a young baby so i got them some fun things too! :D
