The latest data on access to higher education is from the admissions service UCAS just under 51,000 people from Black ethnic groups in England were accepted to full-
time undergraduate courses in the UK. 40,0000(78%) were Black African, 8,600
(16%) Black Caribbean and 2,400(4.71) from other Black.
Prestigious’ university access is the lowest of all ethnic groups
UCAS breaks down entry rates by the ‘tariff’ level of different universities, between high,
medium and low, which refer to average grades of students admitted.
Black Black - African 74.6 (female) 59.1 (Male) 66.9 (All)
Black Caribbean 54.6(female) 34.6( Male) 44.7(All)
Any Other Black Background 60.4 (female) 44.0 (Male) 52.1( All)
Mixed White and Black African 59.8( Female) 42.6 (Male) 51.5 (All)
White and Black Caribbean 42.2 (Female) 29.3 (Male) 35.8 (All)
Just 5.2% of Black Caribbean young people progressed to higher education at a ‘high
tariff’ institution. This was less than half the rate across all students (10.9%) and the
lowest level of any ethnic group other than Gypsy/Roma and Traveller groups.

Living in Leicester I grew up with so so many people from around the world, especially Asian and African. I showed this to my ‘other’ friends and they just didn’t get it. This show is HILARIOUS

When the young couple was trying to get away on holiday I did not understand at first their problem, but when I realized I laughed till I cried in fact I had to play it again because I mist some of it.

Basically... Pretty much the entirety of this show is ironically seeing life from another perspective. For me, I pissed myself when the jamaican famalam said about cooking "white people chicken", as we would say "chinese chicken" "jamaican". And I love that this show isnt condemned for cultural appropriation and racism. It's the way it should be! Well done BBC 3!
Sadly my spices lived in the cupboard for many years. So I could really associate with that!
