hi my name is Sebastian I'm using my daughter account on youtube so I got 13 years doing framing and I never had an opportunity to read plains but when I start watching your videos I learn allot so thank you for your videos that make me open my mind I'm jut have one question how did you take the major the second floor stairs open?
It's a great video but the sound is way to low, I raised the volume on my P/C and still not a very good sound, I even connected the speakers, might want to speak louder or get a better microphone. Over all it think it's an awesome video. Keep them coming.
Jimmy, Typically with 8' ceilings there is a 2x12 header installed above the window, or below the top plate. The window is installed right below the header. That would make it 12" =/- below the ceiling. Also remember if the bottom of the window is less than 18" from the floor then you must use tempered glass. For egress windows the bottom cannot be higher than 44" off the floor. Hope that answers your question. Check out my Weekly Podcast at DIYHouseMedic.com

Reading blueprint 9x6 for kitchen. We're are installing cabinets. Do we have 114 inches OR do we subtract studs & drywall from the total measurement?
Do you have a online training program?

I noticed that the plans give you the dimensions of the windows, but how do you determine how high you place the windows?
