it makes sense though. The Terran heroes (generally) are part of the team along with their units. Alarak's units for the most part are one trick ponies (with one existing literally to keep him in the battle indefinitely). Even Abathur's army is ultimately focused on 'let the fodder die' until the ultimate evolution comes
I agree it makes sense for the WoL Terran heroes to be mediocre because they aren't supposed to be one man killing machines, but comparing any of them to Nova they're just painfully bad. It's worse with Zeratul and the other Protoss heroes from the Protoss missions. I'm pretty sure the Shield of Auir is the only hero in the game to be beaten by it's "standard" usable campaign unit counterpart, thanks to the LotV Mothership being busted.

At level 15 Dehaka has 1800 HP, and Raynor does 300 damage with his penetrator round spell, so assuming it's against a level 15 Dehaka, and the Raynors all get their penetrator round off, it will take 6 Jim Raynors at least, probably double considering Dehaka's passive HP regen and his nomming ability which gives him HP, and of course assuming Tya doesn't start him with more HP than 1800 because as if he wasn't powerful enough, the co-op team didn't put a cap on his HP increases from essence past level 15, so he can theoretically get up to 394k HP before integer overflow happens and his HP gets reset back to a max of 1.

Weird and rare case of human micro being a lot better since a person would always be a better judge of when it should be triggered rather than just relying on his HP reaching a certain amount. You can really tell how Blizzard changed to be hero focused instead of RTS focused in later games by how strong the hero units are. Jim is just a stronger marines for the most part. Kerrigan could basically faceroll her entire campaign on her own, with similar outcomes during the missions with hero's in legacy of the void.
Yup, and that made the campaign so much more enjoyable. "brutal" difficulty is a snooze fest without heroes to spice them up (although it is significantly easier)

In the novel 'Queen of Blades' there was a duel between raynor, zeratul and tassadar on one side and kerrigan on the other. Assuming you use only vanilla there is no tassadar there, but you could always swap him for karass or artanis and see if kerrigan could win that duel.

He does use it, it's just that it seems to trigger when shields are 50% gone, when it restores both HP and shields and the player's supposed to use it sparingly, wasting it and letting him get killed by the long cooldown.

Nova may be the most powerful hero of humanity as unit(may be because of Mr. Findly and his friends). And I think that Alarak & Nova is better rivals than Artanis & Alarak. Alarak & Artanis is the same, but other sides of power, Nova vs Alarak is the battle between pure power and humanity progress power
It's funny to me that one Alarak died almost immediately, but the second took pretty much the entire group out alone.

I think 150 Raynors VS 1 Dehaka should be enough
Everything was pretty predictable but I really expected Artanis to pull through.
Astral Winds kept triggering when shields were 50% down but they restore both shields and HP, which meant they were being wasted

The Alarak fight showed exactly what he's designed to fight - waves of easy to kill enemies that keep triggering his regen.

These video's always take away his (and his people's) greatest passive, cloak. So yeah, he enters the fights with a handicap.
