  • Ten pound porterhouse cooked over an insanely hot BBQ pit fire, then cooked slow and low for that perfect steak you can only get from a true Pit Master.

I've never seen a 10 lb porterhouse steak roast ever. This is a thing of beauty! T-Bone and Porterhouse are my favorite steaks ever and the way you made this is just wonderful. That butter red wine reduction looks amazing. Thank you again Chef for another fabulous cook.

Amazing! Looks like perfection to me! You know, Chef, in the early 70's - for Christmas dinner - my mom had a big standing rib roast and she wet packed it in rock salt and cooked it in the oven. When it was done when she cracked it open the juices poured out of it. It was amazing! When you prepped your meat I was reminded of that time. I have to say, I love watching your shows I always learn something new. And, although I leave the BBQing to the men, you have taught me much about the process in relation to cooking and preparing the meat and all your side dishes as well. Your pocast just recently came up on my feed and I've been tuning in and going through your library of shows. It's been timely and very cathartic for me, having lost my mom this past September. And, I have shared your videos with the men in my family. You have unique cooking skills - thanks for all you do!

Thank you so much and I am truly sorry for your loss. I lost my mom a few years back and share your pain. My mom was a Master of Food. Inside or outside cooking she was the best. We would watch Juila Child every Sunday lol the good old days. Thank you for sharing and watching and taking part in our shows. Blessings your way.

If you want a challenge, try assembling one of these grills th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I am a technician by trade and the technical instructions were easy to follow. No reading, just pictures and diagrams. You assemble everything in 5 steps from the bottom up. Step #1 - Assemble 4 Legs and Wheels; Step #2 - Add the Front Cover and Cross Bars to support the frame; Step #3- Assemble the Burner to the Lower Grill Housing and install the knobs; Step #4 - Install the Side Burner and side shelf; and Finally Step #5 - Install the Upper Char- Broil Lid, Cooking Racks, 3 Burner Railings and Lid Handle. That's It and you're done in about 2 hours and 40 minutes. You have the option to pay for assembly after making the purchase - I would strongly suggest that you take it if you don't want to be bothered with this challenge. The only tool I used was a Phillips head screwdriver and a standard pair of pliers. The grill cost a little more because of the side burner, but this is what makes the grill so versatile and popular among backyard grillers. Have fun and enjoy!

OUTSTANDING! Not only delicious looking, but the cooking method is new to me. I had my first porterhouse steak when I was 20 years young. It is my favorite. Your cooking method brings out those carbon bits with tenderness and flavor that is perfection. Now I need to remortgage my house to get a US PRIME porterhouse like yours. It will be worth it. Great video/cook as usual! Would love to try this myself but the cost of that piece of beef up here in my area would require a second mortgage!😉 I love that cooker you used, looks very well built & versatile. Take care my friend!

Thank you, Jason, that's a mighty tall compliment lol. I live for grilling. My dad got me my fist Weber kettle at 11 years old and I was hooked ever since. I honestly would not know what to do if I had to go without my cookers, probably just die of BBQ loneliness, lol.

@@bbqsouthernstyle I concur Sir. I have a stick smoker, Weber Kettle, Old Smokey & Charbroil Propane grill. Nothing to compare to your collection. I'm a big fan of the Weber King Ranch. Looking forward to more of your tutorial vids.
Keep up the good work. BTW I'm here in the deep South in Texas.
