Thank you Indy car for staying honest. No crazy artificial racing. Plus you actually put footage online idk why f1 finds and blocks stuff. But Laguna Seca please!
Freakin awesome. I hope indycar does this for every race. The dw12 might not be the best looking car, but its a beast and the drivers love it. F1 has nothing on these cars. 2.2 direct injection twin turbo is pleasure to the ears.
Personally I prefer the Monte Carlo F1 track but LongBeach seems to be a well-designed road track. Indycar races are much more competitive than Formula One's.
So many amazing things can be done for viewer interactivity and I hope it will happen soon. How about 360° cameras or many cameras so that the viewer can choose their angle on the fly instead of somebody controlling the camera for each car? Combine that with PiP and the ability to choose which radio feeds you will listen to and you will have an amazingly interactive racing experience. How about seeing the POV of both cars in a fight for the lead while hearing their communication with the pit wall? That would be pretty amazing. It can more or less be done today but not in a user friendly way (and not with choosing the camera angle).
I don't think some cameras would be that expensive in terms of what things cost in F1 in general. It would require some more bandwidith for the networks but cameras just get cheaper and cheaper. The technology to have 360° cameras pretty much exists already and is quiet affordable.
When I say 360° cameras I mean cameras that can shoot in all directions at once so that the viewer can dynamically choose camera angle on the fly. Or was that what you meant?
17:09 Notice the flagman behind RHR's DHL wreaked car waving the green flag. No wonder there was continued carnage after the initial crash, even 10 seconds after. unfortunate because Sato prob sprained his wrist as he was going full speed because Kannan didn't slow down in front of him either. How bout Hawksworth's potential injury if his car gotten full under Newgardens'. This has be one of RHR's worst screw-ups for sure. Flag man did help either.
Actually, the flag man was downstream of the crash on the track. Since it was a local yellow (would have been displayed by the flag station before the crash) where the crash was, they will wave a green flag after the local yellow area to inform the drivers that the track is green after that.
lyrictenor1 i understand your thinking but disagree with the assessment. due to the fact that he(flag marshall) was still inside the crash vicinity(hazards all around) therefore yellow zone is extended to include him. and usually green is waved only after the effected sector or a corner after hazards.
Great footage. Hope Indy Car gets bigger and bigger.... The cars could be a bit prettier though.... Also: They SHOULD race at Elkhart Lake-Road America, Mid Ohio, Laguna Seca, etc.
Highlights: Hinge(0:05)bad launch but (10:25) nice pass. (10:25) his wrist was sprained here(17:53), Power's ( 8:50) engine sound and hands proves incident payback from StPete2013, Sato being too careful as everyone around him passed him on starts, Montoya rivals Helio for defensive positioning( 7:07, 11:50, 15:25 ). RHR pressured out by Hinge and made a mental error on Newgarden ( 17:05) Rahal is a repeatedly ignores spotter and cuts everyone beside him and indycar's selfcentered whining diva in car and at twitter In car race view reflects driver's in car personalities not differ too much out the car ^^
But the racing is better! We don't have only shitty street courses and ovals (ovals are ok but the street courses are absolutely shit). And we have no death since 20 years! If you want to say now: "Deaths make the racing interesting.", then you are no real racing for me!
***** That's too much ! I wish it was Raikkonnen in that situation, he woud have had the perfect answer, which would have been probably something like : "Do you wanna take my seat and drive ?"
Frustrating video to watch. Clips are way too short! At least show a full lap for crying out loud. And when showing a clip of an overtake, start it earlier so viewers have a chance to see the racecraft and how the move develops. Don't start the clip when the attacking car is nearly alongside - start it early enough to show how the driver built the run in the first place!

@ 17:45 I think he was like: 'I CAN MAKE IT I CAN MAKE IT...AWWW NAW I'M STUCK TOO, DAAAUM!!'
Love the sound of the engines!! So much action from Long Beach!!

Boys were getting real cozy next to each other on some of those turns haha i could never do this.
Pretty decent recovery by Hinchcliffe after that start.
Great stuff! loving these videos Indycar is putting up

Damn, Pags was well and truly in the wars that race.

It would be expensive to get that all setup but, it would be pretty awesome!

Amazing race!!!
It's lights out and away we go!
IndyCar, please keep this up. On-screen graphic w/ lap number too? Anyway, great idea.
Formula Indy é show demais....deveria ter um campeonato mundial de f Indy.
intense start..
Some how some way verizon indycar and nbcsports need to start reposting the races online I really think that has helped make the series
Long Beach any day over Monaco! Coming from an European. 🇩🇰

Just wondering if after 6 years; do you still think Laguna Seca would be a good track?
great videos
0:09 lights out and away we gooo
is it just me or does it sound like the engines can rev a lot higher? they sound like they are extremely rev limited.
Outstanding !!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's happened in 7:10?
Sato's onboard of the crash please!
It would be really cool to annotate these videos with the drivers' names. I know most of them but am still getting caught up with the 2014 liveries.

17:50 Looks like those drivers don't know the meaning of yellow flags...
Just wish it wouldn't switch the cameras around so much. Maybe get a lap or two with multiple cars.
Awesome!!!!!!
The grand finale kkkk (17:50) pity James Hinchcliffe
AMANZING!!!!!!
I love this. Why doesn't F1 do this? Oh wait, not many people want to hear those engines.

MichaSpielt how about motogp then? do you think the racing is better than f1 nowadays?
***** Like you do
Prefiro muito mais largadas lançadas...🤩
2:40
RHR seeing firsthand that you can't realistically pass in that turn.
Is it me or some guys in the radio are telling them which line to take ?
he's telling the driver if there's another car inside or outside next to him so he doesn't turn into them

maladsyko Bla bla bla Raikonen bla bla bla Raikonen, bla bla bla Não pegaria nem TOP 10 no grid da indy esse finlandês decadente.
+maladsyko indycar is much more compact and aggressive than f1, which is just follow the leader.
Rafael Couto Marinho
finlandês decadente !! lol
Sounds better than 2014 F1 =/
Im from the UK the sound of F1 is a joke now, these still sound pretty good. i thought racing was racing, and not about green rules.
Willy P hit everything but the pace car
funny ending
