Hey guys, I forgot to mention in the video that I bought these tracks myself, and that this is in no way a paid promotion. Just my personal opinion on this product!

Totally agree! Sector35 tracks are superb, I used them for my KV and got them from the same shop. Their service is also good. Now I regret that I have un-assembled metal tracks in my stash:)

Thanks, ilya! There's a lot of stuff in my stash...tracks are the least of my worries :p

I used Fruilmodel on my half-track and they weren't awful but i treated myself to sector 35 ones for the BT-5. I too think they are excellent and even getting them to the UK was alright, despite our pariah status! I have just ordered a set for my Shilka too, I think if you're going to use metal tracks, these guys are the way to go, truly the better option.

Thank you, Rick! That Shilka is going to be really special, I bet!

That's more than I pay for most of my kits. They do look good though.

My tracks just turned black in the burnishing fluid and never rusted.
I thought maybe I didn't leave them in long enough so I put them in the fluid a bit longer and nothing changed they're just black.
    What did I do wrong?

Not sure, Caleb - what brand of fluid and what brand of tracks? I know the VMS fluid is supposed to blacken them, for instance.

Wow fast reply thankyou very much.
I got the ones you used in the video from Friulmodel for my tiger 1.
I also used the same burnishing fluid that you used in your video from ak.
Do you have any idea why I have different results or any tips for me for future ones?

@@calebroberts8891 You are very welcome. Sadly if you used the same products I am afraid I have no idea. I used this fluid on other tin objects before and after that video and never had that issue. The only thing I can think of is a quality control issue with your bottle. Do you have a second one?

    • @calebroberts8891
      @calebroberts8891 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes mate I used the second one today and still the same result it's just black.
Thankyou kindly for your replys. Hopefully on my next project the results will be better haha.

Plastic tracks ftw of course hahah. What would I do with 8 hours of additional time in my life?!

Hahahah! Indeed! Well, having tried both experiences now, I know which one I'm gonna go for in future...yeah...I'd rather pay a bit more and get these beautiful metal tracks...😇
