Then he heard God say his complete name, telling him that HE still loves Gerald. Gerald fell on the wet floor of that car wash saying 'Please Forgive me', then wrote this wonderful song, what a blessing. They pulled all his music, like they were perfect, and this kind of judgement is as wrong as any kind of sin. You never know what someone is going thru, especially these singers. I've seen Michael in concert and he knows who his Heavenly Father is. We have a loving God that forgives when others can't even see their own turmoil. Michael sings the words he lived. I am also so very thankful that Bill Gaither has been there for these young men and women. We all can stand back and know we are not perfect and that God forgives all his children, if only we ask. I just finished Michael’s autobiography. It was so honest and real. We don’t know the story about the singers we love listening to. If you ever get the chance, read his book. You will truly be amazed about everything that he has gone through in his life and of Our Lord’s love and forgiveness. Michael is a great man that made mistakes and sinned just like every one of us. Nobody has the right to judge what others do. Michael meant every word he sang in this song. Love each other as Our Lord loves us.

In 1996, when Michael was attempting to get back into music ministry, Gerald Crabb (who wrote this song) was the first minister to let Michael back on the Christian music stage. Michael was shunned by others because of the affair he had. It was beautiful evening, held at the Executive Inn in Owensboro, KY. Michael told the full story of how he fell away from God, and gave his testimony about God's forgiveness and restoration. His voice was better than I had ever heard it before. I'm so glad I was there.

I was afraid Satan wasn't going to let go of him but Michael knew exactly what he needed to do to beat the devil. I'm so thankful he did know what to do. His voice is like no other. I’ve been where Michael was and still struggle each day. I’m a 68 yr old grandmother of 7 precious babies from 17 to 26 yrs old. In my life I’ve experienced each thing in his testimony. Most no one is even aware of. Just putting on that fake smile!! I remember back in the early 2000's I think it was around 2002 I was dog/house sitting for a couple in the church I worshipped at. They loved the Gaithers and had everything they came out with at that time, I was in a very dark place in my life, in a relationship I shouldn't have been in, very sexual. I knew I needed to get back to God but didn't know how, I was still very young in the faith. Well, that night around 10:30 or so I put in the DVD and it had the Crabb family, Jason and his brothers and sisters and they started to sing this song. Before I knew it I was face down on the floor and all I could say over and over again was "Please forgive me Lord. I need to know that You hadn't left me I need to feel You grace. Please forgive me." I had tears that came up from deep within me and the were hot on my face. I felt a presence and I knew that the dog was outside, I looked up and if I am lying I'm dying and saw the hem of a rob and the sandals on His feet and for a moment He came to me that night to give me reassurance. I was wide awake and He was gone just like that. I slept the best I've slept in weeks. Now, I am 42 years old, married to a wonderful godly woman. I am a preacher at 3 little country churches, and see the Holy Spirit moving powerfully everyday. I now sing this song as a testimony to my life and what He has done in my life.

I just finished Michael’s autobiography. It was so honest and real. We don’t know the story about the singers we love listening to. If you ever get the chance, read his book. You will truly be amazed about everything that he has gone through in his life and of Our Lord’s love and forgiveness. Michael is a great man that made mistakes and sinned just like every one of us. Nobody has the right to judge what others do. Michael meant every word he sang in this song. Love each other as Our Lord loves us.
You hear the utter pleading in English's voice and it brings tears to my eyes. Please forgive me and help me show others who wronged me the same mercy You give me daily.

Ever since I got saved in 1982, I've prayed for a husband like that. I even had a list of what I wanted and didn't want. Well, 35 yrs. later I still don't have that. I've made a lot of mistakes, misjudgment of ppl and trusted those I shouldn't have. I've heard it said that God has a plan, yes, I believe that...........BUT, you can set that plan back or delay it by making wrong choices, making those mistakes, etc. PLEASE FORGIVE ME. Before I die, please let me know that kind of love Lord. I know these men are human and their wives could tell stories on them, but it's their hearts I look at. The anointing. The love for Jesus. Their humility. Lord, please have mercy on me. You know my situation. You know my heart. Cleanse me, make me whiter than snow. I love You Lord. In Jesus' Name.

In 1996, when Michael was attempting to get back into music ministry, Gerald Crabb (who wrote this song) was the first minister to let Michael back on the Christian music stage. Michael was shunned by others because of the affair he had. It was beautiful evening, held at the Executive Inn in Owensboro, KY. Michael told the full story of how he fell away from God, and gave his testimony about God's forgiveness and restoration. His voice was better than I had ever heard it before. I'm so glad I was there.
I'm not too far from U, Sherry. Same state just West of U a ways. I've loved Michael for years. I was afraid Satan wasn't going to let go of him but Michael knew exactly what he needed to do to beat the devil. I'm so thankful he did know what to do. His voice is like no other. I started listening to him when he first launched his career. No one else has a voice that can touch my heart like Michael does. I'm so thankful he is still singing!

I’ve been where Michael was and still struggle each day. I’m a 68 yr old grandmother of 7 precious babies from 17 to 26 yrs old. In my life I’ve experienced each thing in his testimony. Most no one is even aware of. Just putting on that fake smile!! I’ve been with him in my heart ♥️ thru his worst and thru Gods Grace saw him rise in the name of JESUS. ❤️ 👏 MY pray is to see that LIGHT once more.

I remember back in the early 2000's I think it was around 2002 I was dog/house sitting for a couple in the church I worshipped at. They loved the Gaithers and had everything they came out with at that time, I was in a very dark place in my life, in a relationship I shouldn't have been in, very sexual. I knew I needed to get back to God but didn't know how, I was still very young in the faith. Well, that night around 10:30 or so I put in the DVD and it had the Crabb family, Jason and his brothers and sisters and they started to sing this song. Before I knew it I was face down on the floor and all I could say over and over again was "Please forgive me Lord. I need to know that You hadn't left me I need to feel You grace. Please forgive me." I had tears that came up from deep within me and the were hot on my face. I felt a presence and I knew that the dog was outside, I looked up and if I am lying I'm dying and saw the hem of a rob and the sandals on His feet and for a moment He came to me that night to give me reassurance. I was wide awake and He was gone just like that. I slept the best I've slept in weeks. Now, I am 42 years old, married to a wonderful godly woman. I am a preacher at 3 little country churches, and see the Holy Spirit moving powerfully everyday. I now sing this song as a testimony to my life and what He has done in my life.

Oh how this touched the deepest part of my heart and soul. How unworthy we are, so many mistakes, broken lives, hearts. Going down wrong paths, lives forever changed.
