Usually latina's moms are portrayed as hot tempered, always scolding and being kinda scary. As always you can't generalize. I can't deny that when my mom gets angry she can be a little scary but usually for most of the time she is like Julieta, she's always calling me "hermosa!", "Te amo preciosa!" and hugging me and kissing my cheek. Julieta reminds me of my mom ♥️

That "Ay, te amó, cosa linda!" is the most mom thing I've seen in this movie. Even if it can be embarrassing at times, we wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

I think It's because It doesn't happend so often when she is with them and because mirabel doesn't really open up about It. She makes It look like It's ok with her. The reason why she doesn't seem to believe mirabel It's because she thinks that her daughter is upset cause she doesn't have a gift like the others
Tbf julieta doesn’t get much screen time. I’m sure if they gave her more screen time we would have seen her defending mirabel. Plus I feel like she has so much on her plate because she literally the only medical care in the community.
